- 1 - Drachir
- Drachir is the best player to enter the game when it fully released. He climbed his way to the top of the ladder rapidly and became a possible contender of Nova cup titles alongside
- FC Lucy, his trusty teamate. His balanced playstyle of mixing scaling and breaking builds allowed him to reach these heights and also have a place in the campaign of the game as the
- final boss of the third campaign.
- On top of his in-game accomplishments he utilised his real life skills to construct the third party reference site known as drachbot. Even if ths website is recent, its rise mirrored
- the path followed by Drachir in Legion TD 2 : clear path straight to the top.
- 2 - Kingdanzz
- True to his name, Kingdanzz is the King of competitive Legion TD 2. Ever since the first competitive 2v2 tournament, the Master Cup, he has been winning or making deep runs every time.
- Accross the years, he has had multiple teamate to enter these : Akitos/LinaLTD, Ashton Butcher, Egekaer, Saiyajin9 and more recently Widderson. Despite those changes accross the years he stayed
- unwavering at the top of the scene.
- The King rarely talks, but when he does, respect and attention in the room is naturally occuring. His expeirence has no equals, and to this day, he remains the reference to greatness
- in Legion TD 2.
- 3 - Ashton Butcher
- While Kingdanzz was the King of competitive, Ashton reigned supreme on the ladder. His playstyle clashed with the concept that holdng was needed at all cost. His philosophy: high workers,
- scale, ask questions later. Despite leaking small to some sends early, his limit testing allowed him to be a constant terror in the late game. It was such a consistent strategy that it forced
- a shift in the entire community. The question that haad to be solved as unanimous : How do we beat ashton. The question haunted Legion TD 2 for a long time and some strategies such as the bulgarian
- gambit were tested out.
- Without Ashton to shake the meta and push the limits, the game would have evolved in a completely different direction. He proved that scaling was a powerful tool.
- 4 - Pennywise
- Pennywise is known as the voice of legion. Ever since the introduction of Nova Cup he has been the official caster for it. His conmmitment made it possible for the competitive scene to
- stay alive for so long. Despite not playing in many tournaments, he is consistently at the top of the ladder and has sometimes been the highest elo player in the tournament as the caster.
- His stable playstyle with low risk early makes him a true architect that is something his teamate can lean on unless wild mercenary is focused early and lives at 1hp.
- Without the commitments of Pennywise, Legion TD 2 would probably not have made it this far and the kings wouldn't get the Shiko treatment.
- 5 - Aviator
- Currently soaring high above the others, Aviator has currently stapled himself as the best Legion TD 2 player. While not having a lot of tournaments under his belt, he is a consistent
- performer on both ladder and tournament. He has popularized a lot of strategies such as maximizing the pack rats and placing eggs. It is fabled that the rolls are scripted to always give
- Aviator the eggsack in his roll to allow him to save mythium longer thn anyone in the mid game.
- To this day, people are still wondering if Aviator wants to save mythium and when he wants to send it.
- 6 - Adames
- Adames is a stable force in any team. He gained his reputation as a strategist, one that could someho turn any situations to his advantage. His read on the game and how he was consistently
- able to make the correct decisions in the mid game allowed him to rival Kingdanzz and his partners in tournament with his teamates Tjuvis, Aviator and Widderson. His playstyle forced the playerbase to
- find unorthodox sends to try and counter his predictive cpabilities which was enhanced by the arrival of chaos and redraw in the game.
- If you are looking for a leader in your team, Adames will often make the right calls.
- 7 - Tjuvis
- As the game evolved, the builds became more and more well defined and pattern started to emerge. Sending thus became more standard against certain builds. Tjuvis looked at this and asked to himself
- if he could build differently. From his weird positionning emerged great aggro which allowed him to push harder. The great aggro wasn't the only reason he was able to push harder, it as the confusion
- the opponent had when sending to his build. How can you send correctly if you do not know how the build will interact with the send? That was the core of his philosophy.
- From his playstyle, players were forced into adapting to more general rules of sending and think more about it rather than defaulting to certainty. Tjuvis, on his own, accelerated how people viewed sending
- and building in Legion TD 2.
- 8 - BerntDasBrot
- Some people might ask themselves why AoE hve little impact in certain waves. You can blame thi guy for it. BerntDasBrot is a player that made many deep tournament runs with different partners and was recognize
- for a supportive playstyle. But when he was given AoE units, his execution was flawless and exposed few weak waves while having a large amount of workers and pressure. This made a lot of player starting to master
- AoE and play extremely aggressive, limit testing most builds.
- While AoE still see play, it is only effective on a few given waves. The general state of the game was then shifted towards carry units, but the limit testing to rival the heavy push builds remained thanks to the influence
- of BerntDasBrot reign of terror.
- 9 - Archaikum
- Archaikum was a strong plyer from the early days of legion. Paired with his faithful partner Robie, he was able to overcome adversity in many different situations. While players were seeing the game as a lot of sends to
- accelerate their own board situation, he adjusted his playstyle to the unique aspect of Legion which is the sending and breaking aspect. Probably the OG tactician/breaker player, he utilised that to get wins more easily
- with lower rated players, or even in tournament, when he was in a lower seeded team.
- The fact that Archaikum as present in the early days of Legion, it enabled a healthy tug-of-war during developpment between the income and breaking playstyles.
- 10 - Egekaer
- Shining in the shadow of one of the best player in Legion is difficult. Many thought any partner of Kingdanzz at his prime would just be taking free tournament wins. Egekaer was here to prove them wrong. Despite not
- being a ladder enthusiast, Egekaer was showing to most tournaments with Kingdanzz. His low rating often raised questions, but in crucial moments he knew to clutch it and carry games where Kingdanzz was under pressure
- and giving sace at the right time. Egekaer was proof that good teamate synergy and communication was more important than rating.
- While others could be more skilled than him, he takes number 10 because of the following : The success of Kingdanzz was partly due to his skills, but his dominance was enabled, at his prime, by Egekaer.
