Survey Overview

Thank you everyone for taking part of my stream survey. It really helps to know what I need to do in order to improve my stream just from a small input from a lot of people. How do you feel about these topics on my stream?

For each of these questions, three options were given: "dislike," "no preference," and "enjoy." Generally everything was skewed towards "enjoy" so I'll set that as the reference frame and compare each question against that.

	Speedrunning long categories
		Dislike        17.9%
		No Preference  23.8%
		Enjoy          58.3%

		More disliked than average. I can understand because I'm not one to reset a lot and for longer categories that means being behind longer. I've found that I get fewer viewers when I'm in the red.

	Speedrunning short categories
		Dislike        03.6%
		No Preference  14.3%
		Enjoy          82.1%

		More liked than average. Good, because I like short categories too.

	Speedrunning games I'm good at (e.g. SMW)
		Dislike        00.0%
		No Preference  09.5%
		Enjoy          90.5%

		The most enjoyed option. Figures, since it's more fun to watch someone do well at a game.

	Speedrunning games I'm learning (e.g. SMB3)
		Dislike        08.3%

		Not disliked nor enjoyed. I really enjoy playing new games so you'll probably see more of this.

	Practicing speed games
		Dislike        17.9%

		The most ambivalent option. My practice sessions are usually really short anyway so I'll probably limit practicing on stream.

	Races with other runners
		Dislike        13.1%
		No Preference  34.5%
		Enjoy          52.4%

		More disliked than average. I was actually really curious about this one and the next since I noticed I get way fewer viewers when I'm racing. I'll probably keep doing casual races on stream. However,

	Voice calls with other runners
		Dislike        26.2%
		No Preference  26.2%
		Enjoy          47.6%

		The most disliked option. I understand, because I don't talk very much during group calls. The people I'm talking with (no offense lol) are usually very talkative, and I'm not one for interrupting or barging in during a conversation. It's also very hard to talk with my chat during group calls, so I'll try to limit (extended periods of) voice calls on stream as well.

	Programming (e.g. SMW Practice Cart)

		I tossed this and the next option in just for fun. I rarely do stuff that isn't playing games on stream, but sometimes I feel like streaming and working on a project at the same time.

	Experimenting (e.g. ROM disassemblies)

		Enjoy          67.9%

		Both options got around average responses, so I'll definitely keep them in mind. They just won't happen very frequently since I have to be in the right kind of mindset to work on projects and stream at the same time since I tend to get less work done while chatting to viewers at the same time. :p

How is my stream quality?

		Average rating of 4.3. This actually higher than I expected, so thank you! I would rate my own stream somewhere between a 3 and 4, but that's probably because I have a lot of ideas on how to improve that I just haven't implemented yet.

What can I do to improve my stream's quality?

		I'm not going to go through each response individually but I will say I have already taken some suggestions into account and have plans to follow through with more.
		I will mention that I don't know how much I can change in terms of streaming times since I am a student and all. Sorry European viewers! D:

How is my streaming quantity?

	My streams are long enough for your tastes.

		Generally agree. I try to make sure if I am going to stream it will be for at least 3 hours. I'm not unknown for going way longer though, heh.

	I stream frequently enough for your tastes.

		Generally agree, but less so than the previous question. I want to stream at least 3 times a week, but lately it's been more like 1 since I've been working on a bunch of non-speedrunning projects. I'll try to pick up the pace.

Is BuiBuiBot annoying?

	Oh my god yes.   14.5%

		I've recently updated BuiBuiBot to whisper certain things that only pertain to the command issuer, so hopefully there will be less chat spam fromt the bot.

One-tile fly in VD4 is a good strat.
