- A man in a mask wakes in dull confusion.
- The year is 1996, and aside from his name and what city he's in, that's all he remembers in his first few moments awake. The alley in which he lays is unfamiliar, and his recollection of how he arrived runs away from him the moment he tries to seize it. Everything is a blur. The world doesn't make sense.
- But after a few seconds of blinking the spots out of his eyes, things start coming back.
