- [11:11] Revan Task asks, "Hello again Xirgoth, doing well?"
- [11:12] Xirgoth says, "Hm... Yes, idle time spent. Enlightening others. "
- [11:12] Xirgoth says, "Or roaming, in prepration for war."
- [11:12] Revan Task asks, "Enlightening? On anything in specific particuliar?"
- [11:13] Xirgoth says, "Hm... Witchcraft and the Occult."
- [11:14] Revan Task says, "Ahh, I see."
- [11:19] It seemed that the two had largely been doing similar things, though they offered differing views of enlightenment. However, rolling the heavy, horned helm as he popped his neck a few times, the Fireblooded would let out a short sigh, seemingly making his mind up on something.
- "Would you mind telling me more of this.. Dark Lord you serve?"
- Something of a passing interest, Revan thought if he would be fighting beside Demons, he should get to know them better. Especially with his father insisting on the valuable and deep personal alliances that could be formed when a demon's trust was earned.
- But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
- "It's.. Simply curiosity." He'd insist.
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:23] "Hmmm... You ask, a difficult. Question. Human." Levitating in its fixed position. The cold hadn't any real effect on the demon. Taking the escape from the woods towards theria as a means of easing off the suffocation.
- "Dark lord... Is much like, gods; at times. Indescribable, unimaginable. To conceptualize the... Dark Lord, ones knowledge must exceed. Typical boundaries... A feat in-which. I've yet to accomplish." Though, simply because it'd never seen the true form of its master and father.
- It could speak for eons over the entity and its strength.
- "Regardless, Dark Lord... Is a being, with much power. And much, self-interest. It's only once one, proves self... Does it take notice."
- Pushing out past the shadowy vestige to reveal a pentagram in semblance to the dark lord. "Something akin... To a, marking. A sign, that. I, was blessed."
- (Xirgoth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:23] Revan Task says, "Ah, hello Loupe."
- [11:24] "Hm, hm..."
- Towering, cumbersome; the Kaor's new form was unrecognizable to what it had once been. Xirgoth and others could recognize his essence, naturally, leaving little confusion there. The creature simply idled nearby, pondering the marketplace and half listening to what Xirgoth was saying.
- It appeared he was speaking of the Dark Lord- the master of witches, one that the demon had bound himself to as well? Most fascinating.
- (Loupe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:41] The Task would cant his head curiously, a difficult question, eh? He was a Fireblooded, who worshipped the dragons and wished to one day ascend to their power and wisdom. Dragons were known and well defined, though it seemed the Lord of Helheim was much less so.
- "Is that so? Then how would one go about expanding their mind to begin comprehending The Dark Lord?"
- Such information could be useful, even if not applying it to trying to understand the sinister deity, though Revan had his suspicions. The mind was much like a muscle, through thoroughly working and exhausting it, one could expand their capabilities.. Would that be a similar case here, or would the demon have another insight for him?
- "Power and Self interest.. You mean he's to focused on his own goals to pay his children any mi-" And then his gaze would drift to the pentagram, the marking that glowed with malicious energy.
- "Ah, I certainly see now what you meant by being the strongest occultist amongst your kin now- Even without seeing you in battle, that mark is proof of it."
- Another demon would fill their square, yet the Task did not see bothered by this, a nod of his head given to acknowledge him.
- "Hello, and what is your name?"
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:52] "Hm... I can't say it's something a human, without, dedication. Could come to fully understand... Unlike your minds. Demon-kind has a greater capacity for knowledge. Years... Advanced in months. For us."
- Unsure how to properly display such a thing. It'd likely take something akin to battle of the sorts for it really explain it. After-all, feeling the effects, were always better than listening.
- "It's good... You understand, that much. I am, powerful... Something it took, a short amount of time to achieve. But, endless work and knowledge seeking showed me. Way."
- Glancing over as the two spoke, looking over towards the nearby kindred. It was something of a familiar essence it felt resonating off the demon.
- "Hm... Kin has, evolved... Good. Soon, you too then. Can begin learning."
- Mentioning the teachings it offered prior. But with war so soon? So many other demons would likely serve to enhance themselves through battle over anything.
- "Either way... Task, child... The Dark Lord requires. A life-time... To understand. But soon, maybe... You'll given a chance. To see them rise. On esshar?"
- (Xirgoth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [11:54] Xirgoth says, "To begin... You'd likely study. Dark Arts. Witchary."
- [12:05] There would be a nod given to the ethereal shadow as it spoke, like all demon's it'd pride was inherent. Though Revan supposed it couldn't be unfounded, he had been training all his life, and even now there were demons beginning to surpass him. It was frustrating, but he refused to fall behind.
- If he could simply learn of their ways, train with them, forge himself in the same crucible that made them so much stronger, then perhaps he could do the same.
- "I know that mortals are much more.. Delicate, than you and your kin.. But we are still very much the same.. We grow from conflict, bounce back from injury, learn from defeat.. It takes us a bit more time.. But there are more similarities to us than you think."
- Perhaps Xirgoth hadn't spent enough time with mortals to think on it, finding that humans were too emotional and irrational to be anything like a Demon. However, Revan had seen the darkness that lingered in the hearts of men, there was a demon that hid in everyone, it was just reaching out to speak with it.
- "A life time to understand.." With his father setting the record at one hundred and fourteen, he doubted time would be anything he was short of- assuming this war went in their favor. "Mmh.. Perhaps, I suppose the only way to uncloak the future is to blaze forth on our current path."
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:07] A simple nod was given as it was greeted. This conversation looked heavy; without context it didn't feel inclined to join. There were other things that it had to prepare for. Invited to an expedition, the demon would walk over to a nearby human stall...
- It loomed over the terrifying shopkeeper, admiring paltry human sized weapons between clawed digits. "Hm, hm..."
- This might be difficult.
- (Loupe)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:12] "I understand... As much. However... Humanity, thus far. Proves, absolutely... Behind." Spoken whilst digging a single boney arm into its cloak. Rummaging around for awhile near its core until finally finding itself able to properly shield the object it revealed.
- "An item... Born in man, but never realized. Till lost. Fragmented pieces of the heroes I've defeated before. A combination of Witchcraft and... Occultism."
- Although demons and humanity could be reflected like that of Saekanis and Asena. The difference revolved around motivation. Most of which it saw by man had only aroused itself upon the dawn of demon-kind. Those filled with /heroism/ only standing to the cause. Because conflict was to ensue.
- But what after?
- "Shaped, by humanities aggression against us... I now, reap, their weakness. Their, bravado. Humans can... Surely, replicate. But to an extent, such as mine? Feels... Unlikely. Even for I though, is it difficult to go. Further. Still much, to learn. And the vale? Will surely enlighten me."
- (Xirgoth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:13] Xirgoth asks, "Kin... Do you require, equipment. For the coming, war?"
- [12:13] Loupe says, "Hmm... indeed."
- [12:14] Xirgoth says, "Hm..."
- [12:14] Xirgoth says, "Here, take. This, for now... Should one get enough, coin... A shop off the edge of flower city. Sells armor, rare quality."
- [12:14] Loupe says, "I shall return it. Once I have gathered funds."
- [12:14] Xirgoth says, "Sell it. If one needs to... To another, lesser kin."
- [12:14] Xirgoth says, "Use coin, for your equipment."
- [12:15] Loupe says, "Very well."
- [12:15] Loupe says, "- Goodbye."
- [12:15] Xirgoth says, "Mhm, till next time then. Kin."
- [12:28] Revan would try to defend humanity's honor as the demon continued to speak of it's superiority. There was nothing malicious in the Task's words, he was simply having a fun philosophical debate with a demon of knowledge.
- As Xirgoth spoke of humanity being behind, he would smile, opening his mouth to ask why he thought that if Humanity thrived in so much of the world, where Demonkind had only made pushes here and there. However, The Fireblooded would go silent as pieces of souls were shown.
- His own spirit would suddenly feel defensive, pulling itself back as if he thought a part of him would be snatched by the Child of the Dark Lord. Trying his best to steel himself, to not reveal any disgust.
- She's right there.
- The fragment of Fenes.
- He wanted to take it, to return it to the guildmate that had fallen ill from losing that piece of her. Yet instead, the Task would remain still, silent, statuesque. Listening to why he started collecting the pieces of heart from humanities' fighters, he would speak how the Vale would surely give him even more knowledge.
- "What value does The Vale have to you? What is there that will give you what you seek?"
- (Revan Task)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:37] "The vale will serve... The purpose of, connecting. Realms." After-all, the teraphrim were quite the spiritual race. And bonding with such a magical presence within their woods would surely give weigh to greater heights for the demons as a whole.
- "Such is a desire of all, demon-kind... But for. I? I desire. The depths in-reaching. The Dark lord, directly... To bring, a gift and be given. Power, in-return."
- It was a simple matter, really. But to what lengths it'd go were reasons why it had to amass the knowledge it had thus far. Merely to sustain the control it had now.
- "There's much, to be gained... Much to be learned..."
- But there was still so little time. When knowing the war was on the rise.
- (Xirgoth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [12:45] Connecting all realms? Was that a goal all demons had, or just The Abyssal Coven? Either way, hearing the Vale was the keypoint to make this plan possible, it suddenly started making more sense to the Task. He had thought it was some vendetta against the Terraphim, or perhaps the demons just enjoyed the woods of Myllenoris, or wanted to corrupt it.
- "I see.. Well.. I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for all of us."
- Good and bad, he almost couldn't stand the wait. A respectful bow of his head would be given to the demon as he turned away.
- "I have preparations to make for the War.. But.. I appreciate the insights you have shared with me, Xirgoth.. I will see you around."
- (Revan Task)
