  1. Submissive Guardian Demon CYOA
  2.
  3. The apocalypse has come and gone. Hell's armies came not from fiery breaches in the Earth, but from within men and women seemingly at random. They were transformed, and rampaged across the world until almost nothing was left standing. Humanity was beaten and broken, but not destroyed. Colonies of survivors and lone wolves still dot the landscape, and without large groups of people to vent their frustrations the transformed have turned on each other.
  4.
  5. You are one of the transformed. Unlike any of your brethren you have finally managed to gain a foothold back in your own mind. You are in control, but you have... needs. Failure to satisfy your new body's urges will inevitably lead you into an uncontrollable rampage until your body decides its needs are met. As your body is the product of tampering by demons, these rampages usually wind up messy, and no amount of willpower will end one early.
  6.
  7. You think you can eventually overcome these urges, but you need time – maybe up to a decade, and rampages will probably hamper progress. You can't make progress if you're in a constant rampage, but you're in luck. One of the surviving colonies is in desperate straits and is willing to cut a deal with you. If you help them fight off the mindless monsters nearby and help them scout out food and supplies, and they'll see to it that your 'needs' are met without bloodshed – but they're probably going to chain you down to do it. It doesn't look like you have another choice if you want to regain full control of your new form...
  8.
  9. Form: (Choose One)
  10. Five major types of monster were unleashed by Hell. Which one are you? (Attributes are measured against other transformed – all forms are more than a match for humans) (Impulse control governs how long you can fight your body's urges, and how much control you have over your actions while your 'needs' are being met)
  11. Bestial – Pick one or two furred or feathered creatures. You've become a hybrid of human and the chosen creature(s). Bestial demons can turn off pain receptors at will. Good fighter, very good scout, very poor impulse control. Repulsive.
  12. Tentacle – Mottled skin and tentacles from the head, back, and arms mark a tentacle demon. These creatures rapidly regenerate injuries and limbs, dying only when struck by a single killing blow. Poor fighter, moderate scout, moderate impulse control. Repulsive. Will almost never kill humans during rampages.
  13. Demon – These horned, four-armed monsters are terrifyingly efficient at using anything as a weapon. Demons are fueled by an inner fire – air and sleep are not required. Very good fighter, poor scout, poor impulse control.
  14. Snake – This serpentine form is entirely covered in scales, but they do still have arms. Their wide maws let them devour other creatures – even other demons. (They are always considered to have Infernal Skin on the lining of their stomach) Moderate fighter, good scout, moderate impulse control. Repulsive.
  15. Brute – Towering stacks of muscle, brutes look mostly human, but have bright red skin. Brutes can get back up once after taking clearly fatal wounds – but never from a decapitation.
  16. Moderate fighter, moderate scout, good impulse control. Rampages, if they happen, are extreme.
  17.
  18.
  19. Powers (Choose two)
  20. Infernal Strength – All of the transformed are strong, but you're a freak even by their standards.
  21. Infernal Skin – You go from immune to small arms to nearly indestructible.
  22. Infernal Speed – Your reflexes, dexterity, and speed are unmatched.
  23. Aura of Fear – Your visage is so imposing that even the other transformed fear to attack. Some powerful or organized foes may attack anyway. Has no effect on your actual combat skill. Cannot be taken with Soft Touch.
  24. Ascension – Your transformation into a demon continues even now, making you continually stronger over the next several years (equal to 50% of Speed, Skin, and Strength) but causing a decrease in your impulse control. You will be much harder to control during rampages.
  25. Telepathy – You can speak and listen to nearby minds, human or demon. May be turned off, but not while rampaging.
  26. Flight – You can fly. Cannot be taken by Tentacles.
  27. Improved Sight – Allows you to focus on objects up to a mile away – invaluable for scouting.
  28.
  29. You have 25 points to spend on Adjustments and Items.
  30.
  31. Personal Adjustments – More Power.
  32. [1] Gender Swap – The transformation changes your gender.
  33. [2] QT – The transformation went terribly awry. Any existing human features you have are delicate and feminine. This can have odd aesthetic consequences, but does not affect your abilities or make you look more human. Brutes require Soft Touch before taking this option.
  34. [2] Endowment – That's, uh, very impressive... and also a little terrifying. Friend and foe alike will find you more intimidating.
  35. [3] Reversal – After mastering your new form, your body will regress to what it looked like before the transformation. You still keep bonuses and powers. Cannot be taken with Ascension
  36. [3] Soft Touch – Makes you more human, and reduces flaws of your monstrous form. Removes the [Repulsive] tag. Does not affect abilities. Cannot be taken with Aura of Fear.
  37. [3] Know Thyself – You instinctively know how much time is left before a rampage will overcome you. Accurate to the half-hour.
  38. [4] Pheromones – You emit pheromones which get nearby humans physically aroused. Doesn't do anything for their mental state – they might not thank you for this.
  39. [5] Immortality – Everyone wants to live forever, right?
  40. [5] Fertility – You become fertile again. Your children will be human, but have a 50% chance to receive one of your chosen powers.
  41. [5] Intellectual Integrity – Your willpower is unbelievable; you will be able overpower your urges entirely in only 5 years. Succumbing to rampages will still set you back.
  42.
  43. Colony Adjustments – By default, the colony barely tolerates you and upholds their end of the bargain grudgingly, and with unconcealed disgust if your form is [Repulsive]. They'll most likely keep you chained up during this time, too. Trust can be earned, but it'll take time.
  44. [1] Ship Chain – The colony already has very heavy metal chains to hold you down if you can warn them before your urges overcome you, but if you have Infernal Strength you might need something a little heavier.
  45. [2] Public Relations – The colony gets used to the deal quickly, and is much less likely to turn against you. Cannot take with Impressions drawback. If you have moderate or better impulse control, they might decide they don't need the chains...
  46. [3] Altering the Deal – If the colony becomes self-sufficient, you can cut another deal with them to stick around until you have mastered your new form.
  47. [3] Isolated – The colony is isolated from others – including the transformed. Scavenging might be difficult, but fighting will be uncommon.
  48. [3] Supplies – The colony has some extra supplies stored up. It'll take longer for them to dwindle if search parties come up empty.
  49. [4] The Volunteer – There's at least one person in the colony who isn't bothered by your appearance. In fact, they seem to show up surprisingly often and well prepared. Half-price with Soft Touch, can be taken multiple times.
  50. [4] Reservoir – A nearby dam has survived the Apocalypse. Provides water for drinking and irrigation.
  51. [5] Heavy Metal – The colony has a very limited stock of heavy weapons, including some high-explosives powerful enough to take down even the strongest of the transformed.
  52. [5] Sorority/Fraternity – The colony is a single sex group of survivors who banded together during the apocalypse and survived against all odds. They're tight-knit and efficient, but still need your help – for now. You'll have a hard time gaining trust, but people found in the wastes cannot change their opinion of you.
  53.
  54. Items – This is what you had on you when you came to your senses...
  55. [3] Sword – A blade made of a demon bone – can cut through nearly anything with enough force behind it, but can slip out of your hand if you hit something hard without a firm grip.
  56. [3] Shield – A shield made from demon bones, melted together. Basically indestructible, but can be knocked out of your hands if the attacker is forceful enough.
  57. [5] Ring - This ring grants you another power - at 1/8th its normal strength.
  58. [5] Chlorr's Mask – You awoke with a bronze mask somehow riveted onto your face. The mask enhances the strength of your two chosen powers. The rivets hurt constantly, even if you switch off pain receptors.
  59. [8] Collar – This red leather collar cannot be removed by you, but humans can undo it. While wearing the collar, you never rampage. You become deeply weakened if your needs are not met, barely strong enough to move your own weight. Removing the collar causes an instant rampage.
  60.
  61. Drawbacks
  62. Ravenous – You've got more than one appetite. If you fail to bring in more food from the ruins of civilization than you consume, both you and the colony are going to be in serious trouble. [+3 Points.]
  63.
  64. Impressions – Your first meeting with the colony wasn't on great terms. They don't trust you, and probably never will. Better hope you're worth more to them both alive and free. [+2 Points]
  65.
  66. Neoteny – Some unpleasant force in Hell steered your transformation for his amusement. You look fairly young, and your physical abilities reflect that. [+3 Points]
  67.
  68. Annihilation – Looks like the Apocalypse isn't over yet. Hell has sent a real Demon, not a pale imitation from Earth, to finish the job. He can command the transformed, has all three Infernal powers, Telepathy, and Flight, and he will not rest until every human is dead. You can resist his commands as long as you do not rampage. If you can somehow kill him, there will not be a replacement. [+10 Points] (And good luck)
  69.
  70.
  71.
  72. Just remember, if the colonists end the deal or all die before you've mastered your form, you'll be stuck as a mindless beast until someone puts you down for good.
