- This is a simple guide on how to get Famed/Zealot demons in SMTIV Apocalypse between the range of roughly level 34-54. The only unfortunate thing is that because of the nature of it, you likely won't be able to quickly (or easily at least) get the skills you want on those demons if you plan on using them.
- What you absolutely need:
- Sick ailment on Nanashi.
- Mad Gasser, Ghoul, and Night Stalker in the Compendium. Mad Gasser is a level 37 Foul, Ghoul is a level 49 Ghost, and Night Stalker is a level 22 Foul.
- What you optionally may want:
- Misfortune Earring on Nanashi. It's an accessory that costs around 330k Macca, and you can buy it at the Black Card Weapon Shop in the Ginza Shopping District, after you get the black card from a lategame challenge quest called "The Guard of Midtown". The accessory reduces Luck by 100, and makes you weak to the Sick ailment. I'm unsure whether or not it has a bearing on fusion mistake chances, but I saw a large number of them without having to kill or get my demons sick to improve fusion chances.
- To kill the Mad Gasser, Ghoul, and Night Stalker before fusing, or to get them sick. I really didn't see this as a requirement, though from what I've read elsewhere it makes the chances of a fusion mistake more common. This is also a pain to do because of partners, unless you purposefully find demons that block an element and throw it at them until your demons die.
- Summon Discount 1-4. This makes Ghouls only cost 5026 Macca, Mad Gassers cost 6050, and Night Stalkers cost 2336. Without these, you'll spend quite a lot more on getting the demons back after fusing them.

- The method is quite simple. Go into your compendium and sort by race, and the demons you need should be anywhere from one to four left presses (on the d-pad) from the very bottom, depending on your compendium progress. Summon all three, and make sure you have a good number of slots left in your stock afterward. This will be important shortly.
- Go to basic fusion under the fusion menu. Fuse the Night Stalker and the Ghoul, and you'll receive a Tlaloc. Fuse the Tlaloc and the Mad Gasser, to create another Ghoul. If you get no mistakes, then you can simply buy another Gasser and Stalker to fuse again, and again, and again. This method is a bit costly, but if you're at the point where you're actively going for mistakes, Macca shouldn't be much of an issue.
- If you want the best chances of getting the fusion mistake demon that you want, KEEP ALL OF THE OTHER MISTAKES THAT YOU GET. This will gradually shorten the pool until you eventually get exactly what you're looking for, as it can no longer give you a demon that you've already got in your stock.
- It's as simple as that. Using this method, I was able to get every fusion mistake demon within the level range in a bit under an hour total, not counting time spent getting Macca for the fusions beforehand.
- Of course, there's probably a better way to go about this, but I haven't cared to look around yet. The same method might be applicable to higher or lower levels, as well, but I'm unsure as I haven't tried to find any fusion chains similar to this one yet.
