Patch 4.4 Theory

"Reach out as I may, I could not sense in him the spark of life that is his soul."

This seems to be the biggest red herring in the patch trailer. Who is Kan-E-Senna talking about? The trailer leads us to believe she's referring to Alphinaud, but why is she searching for him? Outside of reports of an attack (leading to why we go to The Burn in this patch), there's no reason to.

My guess is actually she's referring to Zenos, due to the conflicting reports between us and Maxima in the last patch about him being alive/dead. By sensing that his soul is not there, maybe we can guess that an ascian is involved?

Or maybe Kan-E-Senna is a terrible soul reader. See you in 4.4.

Edit: Well, the characters definitely know that Zenos is just a skin for an ascian, but I was wrong as to who Kan-E-Senna was referring to. Oh well. It's just a theory. A GAME THEORY. Thanks for reading.
