Poking guide

Once you unlock poking (model zero watch) you can increase catch rates of yo-kai dramatically. The idea is to poke an enemy yo-kai in their "heart spot," increasing the friendliness level increases by one for that yo-kai.

How to poke:

Once you have the model zero upgrade, tap the circle in the middle of the bottom screen and then "Poke."

Some tips on hitting the heart spot:

1) Only inspirited or loafing yo-kai can be poked. So, set up a defensive party that will do very little damage but spread inspirits to avoid killing the enemy.

2) Every time you initiate poking, the pokable spots on the yo-kai are randomized. One spot will output hearts, you have to find where it is and then just mash that spot. If you take too long to find it, just press B to cancel and try the poke again - there's no penalty for canceling in this way, and this guarantees you'll always get a friendship bonus.
