His successful mindset started already as a kid. He hated school with a passion because if you want to make money, you can't sit in school every day. His father offered him a job as salesman at his company but this was not to Roberts liking. Instead, he went on a vacation to Spain where he bought a pair of trousers that he thought looked good. This gave him the idea to start the clothing brand "Uncle Sam" in the 80s. He later started traveling to Turkey, buying cheap clothes there and selling them expensively back in Germany. After a few years of business he sold his company for 140 million.

At this point, he took a 10 year break to live a luxurious lifestyle, with a house in Monaco and flying private jets everywhere. He has since been an avid investor in the stock market. He's built a few houses that he rents out. His brother bought back Uncle Sam clothing and is yet again the CEO. Robert Geiss has also become somewhat of a celebrity in Germany. He's had his own TV show. A reality TV-show about the Geiss familys life of luxury.

He's also sustained a lot of criticism during his years in public. Once he was caught not picking up the droppings from his dog. The press scolded him for months calling him lazy, ungrateful and rude. He later apologized and promised to always bring a plastic bag with him from now on. He was also in the spotlight after he saved a local girls life. A truly amazing story, where Geiss ran into this woman at a restaurant, and she told him all about her life story. How she was extremely poor and in debt. Geiss decided to take her under his wing and teach her the ropes in business. A few months later she actually quit her job at the restaurant and started working for Geiss directly.

Robert himself says that the experience of helping others has been incredibly rewarding for him, and this new path of giving and helping is Roberts way forward in life. He says he is going to devote the rest of his life to teaching, helping and saving the less fortunate.
