- The Original Night Stalker is a media epithet for an unidentified serial killer and serial rapist who committed 50 rapes in Northern California during the mid-1970s and murdered twelve people in Southern California from 1979 through 1986. Other monikers include the East Area Rapist, the Diamond Knot Killer, and since 2013, he has also been referred to as the Golden State Killer.
- The crimes initially centered on the then unincorporated areas of Carmichael, Citrus Heights and Rancho Cordova, all east of Sacramento, where at least fifty women were raped between June 18, 1976 and July 5, 1979.[2] In 2001, several of the Northern California rapes were linked by DNA to murders in Southern California. All of the DNA-linked assaults occurred in Contra Costa County but the distinctive modus operandi (MO) of the rapist makes it very likely the same man was also responsible for the attacks in the Sacramento area. His last crime, the only one after 1981, took place in 1986.
- Steven R LeFair seems to be a Prime Suspect in these murderous killings. He lived in all of the areas of the killings and later in life when he was sick he would terrorize people online and with the people of his apprentice Eric. Stephen had a Heart Attack in 1981 around the same time the attacks stopped before he was diagnosed with diabetes in 1986 after the last murder. After that he lived a life of business crimes against artists and musicians in the bay area. There is a ton of information about how this guy would go after people and even records of his voice when threatening to kill and have people attacked. He was never arrested and lost any court cases against him yet he would brag that he had 12 notches in his gun to victims of harassment. In record calls he threatened to beat people to a pulp and would do assume the identities of his victims to inflict massive financial damage on people he considered targets. He died in 2015 and left a legacy on the internet and 2 brothers. I believe it would be wise to test his DNA against the Golden State Killer to see if this man could be living embodiment of evil. This has been submitted to the FBI for verification.
