  1. She scrambles!
  2.
  3. Perhaps, within the worst way. Upon stopping, she slides upon the very heels of her feet- before lightly tapping at her cheeks with the very palms of her hands. "Helloooo Hello everyone!" She says, her smile bright- wide...Perhaps, a little too childish for those that were around. "I've been lookin' for challengers so.." She says while making an open announcement.
  4.
  5. "Which one of you guys wanna battle me? W-We can talk and do stuff while we're fighting, yeah?" She just...well...Wants to do things. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!"
  6. (Bei Bei)
  7.
  8.
  9. Vanetti Mistore asks, "How can one join?"
  10.
  11. Nima Hatayer says, "I mean.. I could fight you."
  12.
  13. Juvia Shinka asks, "Is there somewhere I can sign up?"
  14.
  15. Nima Hatayer says, "Oh, to join you have to uh.."
  16.
  17. Nima Hatayer says, "Sign up."
  18.
  19. Bei Bei asks, "Oh? Then let's go...Yeah?"
  20.
  21. Vanetti Mistore asks, "Why would I want to fight you?"
  22.
  23. Bei Bei exclaims, "Why...Wouldn't you? Don't you wanna learn how to fight?--Actions action!"
  24. Bei bounces from one foot to the other.
  25. (Bei Bei)
  26.
  27.
  28. Nima Hatayer exclaims, "I like her !"
  29.
  30. Juvia Shinka asks, "Where do I sign up?"
  31.
  32. Vanetti Mistore says, "Psychopaths."
  33.
  34. Bei Bei asks, "P-Psychopath? Did you just call me crazy?"
  35.
  36. Vanetti Mistore says, "No..."
  37.
  38. Vanetti Mistore says, "Just a psychopath."
  39. Arthur turned his gaze towards Bei Bei.
  40.
  41. And while he decided to no longer fight the older ones that seemed as if they were far above him in raw power, she seemed young enough... she can't possibly be absolutely overwhelming to him like the rest, can she?
  42.
  43. Even if it wasn't for Tokens, the practice was still decent.
  44.
  45. "I suppose I could."
  46.
  47. "Least you prefer the lad over there, that is."
  48. (Arthur Rowan)
  49.
  50.
  51. Bei Bei exclaims, "Pfbbbt, -Those- are fightin' words...So, I'll handle -you- when I get back. Hmph!"
  52.
  53. Nima Hatayer exclaims, "Just sign up at the board right there !"
  54.
  55. Juvia Shinka exclaims, "Oh, okay!"
  56.
  57. Nima Hatayer says, "Oh- So Arthur wants to."
  58.
  59. Vanetti Mistore says, "Seems like a lot...I'll do it later."
  60.
  61. Nima Hatayer exclaims, "The sooner the better !"
  62.
  63. She wasn't certain as to which one of them had desired to fight her but as of yet...What more could she possibly say? "Alright, alright then, Arthur...C'mon, Let's go."
  64. (Bei Bei)
  65.
  66.
  67. Rangel Mistore says, "See baby girl. It's not that bad as you thought it would be. You're already making acquintances."
  68.
  69. Nima Hatayer says, "Baby-"
  70.
  71. Yver'atok says, "...Thank you."
  72. Nima holds his laugh.
  73. (Nima Hatayer)
  74.
  75.
  76. Vanetti Mistore says, "They're just acquintances..---"
  77.
  78. Vanetti Mistore exclaims, "It's not funny!"
  79. Bei Bei whispers: Are people always so mean here?
  80.
  81.
  82. Juvia Shinka says, "I think it's nice..."
  83. Nima falls to the grass, a hand by his mouth and the other by his stomach.
  84. (Nima Hatayer)
  85.
  86. Bei Bei whispers: They're all rude.
  87.
  88.
  89. Vanetti Mistore exclaims, "It's..not even that funny!"
  90.
  91. Juvia Shinka exclaims, "Behave!"
  92.
  93. Yver'atok says, "I will be going to speak to Lady Cho, for a bit. If you'll excuse me."
  94.
  95. Vanetti Mistore says, "Grrr..."
  96.
  97. Juvia Shinka says, "I'm sorry about him."
  98. Yver'atok would walk off.
  99. (Yver'atok)
  100.
  101. Juvia puts her hand out.
  102. (Juvia Shinka)
  103.
  104.
  105. Juvia Shinka says, "My name is Juvia Shinka."
  106. Arthur shrugged to that.
  107.
  108. "They're not exactly like this, no- at least, not all of them and not all of the time. Academy is a competitive ground, so most people are fairly--"
  109.
  110. "Tense."
  111.
  112. But turning entirely towards Bei Bei, he made a simple exclamation, one that clearly suggested he's ready to proceed with the challenges that she offered.
  113.
  114. "Let's go, then. Lead the way."
  115. (Arthur Rowan)
  116.
  117. Nima slowly gets back to his feet, trying his best not to laugh. 'Baby girl' got him by surprise.
  118. (Nima Hatayer)
  119.
  120.
  121. Rangel Mistore asks, "Problem with what I call my kid?"
  122. Rangel stares at Nima.
  123. (Rangel Mistore)
  124.
  125. Arthur was quick to shroud himself with the crackling lightning energy.
  126.
  127. It became quickly apparent just what sort of magi Arthur is, precisely - on top of the obvious energy of lightning, his fingertips were coated with water, and some with blood.
  128.
  129. Whether she was up against a true adversary to her combat style or not, that remains to be seen.
  130.
  131. "Ready when you are."
  132.
  133. A brief exclamation, and Arthur prepared himself.
  134. (Arthur Rowan)
  135.
  136.
  137. The truth of the matter is...Is that she's probably the smallest being within the academy. The lowest of the low due to her own stature and well...Attitude towards most things. But in the end, what more could she possibly say? They were within a melting pot of different cultures and had recently gotten out of the war...But as she had professed to the other, Iosif, her movement will always be key to her own victory. She cannot afford to stop..
  138.
  139. Otherwise, if she does- she'll fall like the rest of them. And getting up from a sunken place is the worst, more horrid experience that one could possibly have and so...She fights. And she pushes. And she tries her best!
  140.
  141. "Ready!- Don't go easy on me, okay?" It'll be rough, but...It'll be good. This will be good.
  142. (Bei Bei)

  183.
  184. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 1)
  185.
  186. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  187.
  188. The battle was over... faster than expected.
  189.
  190. It became evident right away that she was rather behind in terms of raw power - it's not something he'd blame her for, really, especially considering he has plenty of losses under his own belt, all against opponents that overpowered him by large margin.
  191.
  192. Maybe she'd catch up later on, too.
  193.
  194. To end the fight, all it took from Arthur was to summon the streams of air- and as the fight continued, just his ability to control the bodies of people via Bloodbending and shooting a watery beam was enough.
  195.
  196. He'd hoped he didn't hurt her too bad.
  197.
  198. "Um..."
  199.
  200. "Are you okay? Hope that wasn't too rough..."
  201. (Arthur Rowan)
  202.
  203.
  204. It wasn't what she had been expecting....To meet someone that was capable of locking her in place was almost terrifying, so much so- that, if only briefly, the fear could be reflected within her gas. "What the- auarhuhughughsuhgsg!" And yet again- is she sent tumbling across the realm, the two gigantic buns forced to become lopsided and messy...Her lithe being laying flat upon the ground, chest heaving as she looks up...
  205.
  206. Pant, pant, pant.
  207.
  208. Why is everyone here so strong? What could they possibly have that she doesn't? If only for the moment, does she open up one eye--- a slow smile appearing upon her features, which is soon overshadowed by a Cheshire grin. "Rough?-..No, no, no! It's fine..." Slowly, does she get up once again-- her legs weakened, wobbling as she gets back within her fighting stance.
  209.
  210. "Again please.." The blush of embarrassment stays upon her features, almost...Shamed of what has occurred. This is...Tough.
  211. (Bei Bei)
  212.
  213. He wasn't sure if she wasn't lying.
  214.
  215. Truth be told, it did seem that he had gone too rough on her... and because of that, he decided to tone himself down. How? By not using the terrifying power of simply taking possession of someone's body, of course.
  216.
  217. "Well, alright!"
  218.
  219. "Suit yourself, I'll... I'll still be very powerful in my attacks."
  220.
  221. What a liar. At least, the lie was sweet, and made to bolster her confidence at least a little - he knew that there was no way she could overpower him, but at least if she lasted longer, that'd probably make her feel better.
  222.
  223. Right?
  224.
  225. "Ready when you are!"
  226. (Arthur Rowan)
  227.

  267.
  268. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 1)
  269.
  270. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  271.
  272.
  273. Bei Bei asks, "What are you doing?"
  274.
  275. Bei Bei exclaims, "FIGHT ME!"
  276.
  277. Arthur Rowan exclaims, "Um... what do you mean? I am fighting!"
  278.
  279. Arthur Rowan exclaims, "This is called... turtle technique!"
  280.
  281. Bei Bei exclaims, "It's not real fighting!"
  282.
  283. Bei Bei exclaims, "COWWWWARRDD!"
  284.
  285. Arthur Rowan exclaims, "Yes, it is!"
  286. Arthur did as best as he possibly could to stay covert in his act. Occasionally trying to dodge the strikes, he'd pretend that she was too fast for him to actually evade most of these things... and unironically, he actually used up literal bubbles in fighting, constantly throwing them against her body.
  287.
  288. One bubble. Two bubbles. Three bubbles. And four, and five, and six... all until she's worn out from the fact how magical bubbles hit her, leaving her too exhausted to continue the fighting.
  289.
  290. And while there were scraps and scratches on him due to attacks that he let happen, once more, he'd pretend it was just... his defence that failed.
  291.
  292. "Wew!"
  293.
  294. "You got me there... I suppose that... turtle technique isn't very effective against you! Good job!"
  295.
  296. Hopefully he wasn't too obvious...
  297. (Arthur Rowan)
  298.
  299. Mina has emerged victorious!
  300.
  301.
  302. She might be young and effervescent, but she isn't stupid. When one loses drastically and then, suddenly, things change...It's not as terrifying as she had once felt. The adrenaline rush- the feeling of losing everything all at once....And then getting up again. It's different...But despite that, she takes out her anger on him within every way that she possibly could...Even when the bubbles collide with her being.
  303.
  304. "G-Gah!Girochinkikku!" Her leg sweeps across the lands- cutting through the air, terribly fast before...well..The last bubble collides right within her fast, knocking her off of her balance and forcing her to hit the ground with a terrible thump.
  305.
  306. OOF!
  307.
  308. But despite that, "..." There seems to be a terrible silence within the moment. Her hands would drift upwards, fixing her hair as she finally breaks it. "Why are all of you the same..?" She questions, perhaps, a little too bitter for what it's actually worth. "All of you literally do the same thing..." She talks low, the frown upon her features beginning to deepen as she moves to a wobbly stand once more, brushing the dirt off of her little gi.
  309.
  310. "I don't fight to just-...To just be toyed with. How am I suppose'to learn anything if you guys just...Don't even try." She murmurs. "It must be 'cool' for you to act 'cool' and hardly try, huh?" she murmuvrs.
  311.
  312. "Showin' off infront of people because you know you're stronger and better-...But don't worry." Just as the darkness had come, the light soon shines afterwards. "Because I'll beat all of you eventually." A light smile appears. "Each of ya' are stepping stones...Just wait'n see.." Just wait for the power.
  313. (Bei Bei)
  314.
  315. That's not what Arthur did it for.
  316.
  317. But he could realize now why it was wrong to do. To go easy on her meant almost as if neglecting her, even disrespecting her with the fact that she's not worth his full power. Perhaps he should've considered that earlier before he'd try and act far lighter on her, but alas, that mistake was already made.
  318.
  319. It made him fall silent, if at least for a bit. How could he just overlook that sort of detail... why didn't he realize it right away? Of course, it would offend her.
  320.
  321. "I, uh--"
  322.
  323. "Sorry... I didn't mean it that way... I actually wanted to let you practice with your strikes proper, to actually gauge how far you can go with dishing out what you can do... instead of just, you know, immediately going down."
  324.
  325. "Unfortunately, most people around here are far above your raw power. In fact, even the same thing applies to me - there are many people out there that can overpower me easily just because they possess greater mana volume inside of them."
  326.
  327. "So you're not alone on that."
  328.
  329. He scratched behind his head. This was more than likely a lame move from the get-go, but what can you do? What's done is done.
  330.
  331. "No hard feelings, I hope."
  332.
  333. "Just wanted to... I don't know, make you feel better and give you more time to practice?"
  334. (Arthur Rowan)
  335.
  336. The lad watches from the shadows. He'd intended to find Arthur and apologize to him again, in a less autistic fashion, but it appeared he'd stumbled onto the scene of the boy engaging yet another child at the academy in combat instead - something which he feels awkward even watching, frankly. The lad kind of stares, scratching his chin, sitting nestled within some small flowers. He was plainly visible.
  337.
  338. Just dumb.
  339.
  340. Curiosity is evident on his face if either of them looked, though, that same wild-child curiosity that had lead him to embark on this continental journey with Zenkichi to begin with. He's intrigued by seeing other kids just talk, get along..
  341.
  342. Something he couldn't seem to get the hang of, no matter how hard he tried.
  343. (Tlacaelel)
  344.
  345.
  346. Although he explains himself- some things are harder to swallow, especially when it comes to pride in general. But despite all of these things, the young girl would have done nothing more than shrug. "I would have believed you...If you didn't lie to me and say that you were practicing another style...I'm not dumb." She murmurs, her gaze beginning to drift elsewhere-- her smile widening. "I don't accept your apology, but I tell you what." She adds, closing her eyes...Only for a single one to open while 'side glancing' him. "You can make it up to me." She murmurs before shrugging.
  347.
  348. "Sounds like life...But I'm not sad about it. It just means that it gives me more things to do- and makes me happier for when I actually beat them all up...Pretty easy, right?" she questions, quirking nothing more than a mere eyebrow.
  349.
  350. "I've got all the hard feelings,by the way...If you want to make me feel better, you should've just went all out again....otherwise, if somethin' like this happens again- what am I supposed to do?" She questions.
  351.
  352. "We gotta get stronger, you know...And sometimes, it takes two weak people fighting each other to their fullest potential to beat everyone else. So...Let's do it, yeah?" She asks, quirking an eyebrow before noticing the boy within the background.
  353.
  354. "Hey hey..! What about that guy, huh? He seems cool. Maybe he can join our group."
  355. (Bei Bei)
  356.
  357. That didn't go as expected.
  358.
  359. But at least she was willing to listen. The fact that she didn't want to accept apology was somewhat understandable, and while it did look to Arthur as if she was making a bit too much of a deal out of it, well--
  360.
  361. -- perhaps that's what she was, at her core?
  362.
  363. "Mm... well, I suppose I'll make it up to you, then. Depends what you got on your mind."
  364.
  365. It wasn't uncommon of people to take advantage of such things, and while Arthur was certainly among the people that were fairly kind, he was also not that foolish to let someone guilt-trip him and take advantage of it.
  366.
  367. Assuming they were trying to do that, in the first place.
  368.
  369. "Ah-- that's... one of the people I fought previously. He's quite strong, yes..."
  370.
  371. Shifting his gaze to Tlacaelel, the redhaired Valmasian eyed him for a while, thinking as to why he would even come here. Was it to challenge Arthur,or was it to speak to him?
  372.
  373. Time to find out.
  374.
  375. "Yes? Something the matter?"
  376. (Arthur Rowan)
  377.
  378.
  379. Gil asks, "Excuse me, would you be willing to challenge me for a token?"
  380. Gil patiently waits for the man before him to respond to his offer. The shinobi was having fun with the battles, learning different battle styles from everyone around. He lacked the strength to bring most down, but he was getting lucky with avoiding some moves here and there. The Shinobi favored this kind of system.
  381. (Gil)
  382.
  383. Gil whispers something.
  384.
  385. The boy who is currently laying on the ground looks dead at Gil the moment that he arrives. The Gehennan had been made privy to a rule meaning he didn't have to accept challenges for awhile since he'd just won one, and so...
  386.
  387. "Nah," he says, rather casually in response to Gil. Just nah. He had known pretty immediately that the only reason he'd be getting approached by one of his fellow classmates was for this very reason, and the disappointment on his face is palpable. His expression is pretty sour, actually.
  388.
  389. Turning back to Bei Bei and Arthur though, he's visibly surprised that they can see through his foolproof ninja illusion. He doesn't express as much audibly, but his face betrays his thoughts - as it often does. He was an expressive boy. He just couldn't help himself.
  390.
  391. "Your...group?"
  392.
  393. They were going to try to make an alliance in all this mess? But before he can continue addressing Bei Bei, he feels that he has to respond to Arthur, first and foremost. That -was- why he'd come here, afterall.
  394.
  395. He looks to Arthur, surprised(er) to see he didn't seem mad.
  396.
  397. "Sorry for what I said about your brother, I uh, it wasn't my place, yanno'?"
  398. (Tlacaelel)
  399.
  400.
  401. Gil says, "Thank you anyway."
  402. Gil whispers something.
  403.
  404.
  405. What would be a good way to repay her for the crimes that he has committed against her pride and being? Well... "There are a few things that you can do..." She says while beginning to smile briefly. "Since you're so good at fighting and stopping stuff, then you must be good at cooking, hm?" She questions while beginning to tilt her head. "You know what I want from you? Pancakes. If you get me those, then maybe...Juuuust maybe, I might forgive you." Didn't seem too outlandish, right? Sure, it might require a bit of work.
  406.
  407. "And I want you to make them." But it would be good in the end. Either way, she would visibly take a step back to see the scene unfolding between talelalcan and Arthur...Terribly curious as to how these things will be. Hm, hmm, hmmm..
  408. (Bei Bei)
  409.
  410.
  411. Theodore Rowan exclaims, "Oh, Arthur!"
  412.
  413. Theodore Rowan exclaims, "You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend!"
  414. While Arthur wasn't exactly in the mood to see Tlacaelel just yet, simply because it was a reminder of his fresh defeat--
  415.
  416. -- he didn't hold it against him. The fact that he came here to apologize could already mean something. After all, there's no point to bear the grudge for the challenge he issued and he lost - the only real hurt from it was not even related to him at all.
  417.
  418. "Mm... apology accepted, but there wasn't any real need. That conflict, it was... not related to your success, but something between me and my brother."
  419.
  420. His gaze was turned to Bei Bei. It's an odd offer to get her to forgive him that she had - to bring her pancakes, cooked by him. Now that's a trouble... sure, he could muster cooking those, but he didn't own a farm.
  421.
  422. Or at least a house, where he could actually cook these. He'd need to get tricky.
  423.
  424. "Uh huh... well, I suppose I'll see what I can do, then."
  425.
  426. And then, Theodore arrives.
  427.
  428. As always, here to embarrass his younger brother with a statement worth of at least flustering the young boy.
  429.
  430. "That's-- that's not my girlfriend..."
  431.
  432. A slight jade of crimson washed over his cheeks, but he met that statement with a small frown, regardless. He took it as Theodore's attempt to embarrass him.
  433.
  434. And it might've been one, after all.
  435. (Arthur Rowan)
  436.
  437. Theodore giggled, looking at his brother becoming a tomato, holding his stomach slightly leaning backwards while he still flied - he defied gravity, so he didn't really fall on his back.
  438.
  439. "Man.... You look so adorable when you look like a tomato, Artie." Then Theodore snorts, finding it all too funny for him to stop.
  440.
  441. "No... Really, if she's asking you to cook for her, that means she likes you. Go for it!" Or not, Theodore gave Arthur a gaze that he knows very well, it means eternal mockery.
  442. (Theodore Rowan)
  443.
  444.
  445. There is a brief silence- her eyebrows beginning to furrow slightly. "Whaa-...Just because I ask'em to do something doesn't mean that I'm his girlfriend or that I like him!" She says, crossing her arms- her cheeks beginning to puff up. "They're pancakes! Pancakes of forgiveness, otherwise, I'll just beat him up again!" Not that she had won the first time...But still! It's meant to be that way..
  446.
  447. But to digress, the young girl just looks elsewhere...How troublesome. "Besides, we're rivals- you just can't date your rivals."
  448. (Bei Bei)
  449.
  450.
  451. Juvia Shinka asks, "Are...you a student here?"
  452.
  453. Crow Irving says, "Huh? Yeah."
  454. Tlacaelel rubs the back of his head awkwardly. He had intended to come just speak to Arthur, but he didn't do well with crowds. He understood girls and shit even less, so that part was extra weird to him. This was proving to be quite the struggle - intermingling with all of these folk and everything.
  455.
  456. He just awkwardly watches.
  457. (Tlacaelel)
  458.
  459.
  460. Crow Irving asks, "Need somethin?"
  461.
  462. Juvia Shinka asks, "How long does it take for the application to be accepted?"
  463.
  464. Crow Irving asks, "Depends. Did you talk to the old lady running the place?"
  465.
  466. Juvia Shinka asks, "What's her name?"
  467.
  468. Crow Irving says, "Cho...something."
  469.
  470. Na'atl asks, "Lady Cho?"
  471.
  472. Juvia Shinka says, "Oh, I've talked TO her."
  473.
  474. Juvia Shinka says, "But...not about joining..."
  475.
  476. Crow Irving says, "If you wanna speed it up, let her know you applied."
  477.
  478. Zio says, "You.."
  479.
  480. Zio asks, "Have tokens to wage, yes?"
  481.
  482. Juvia Shinka says, "Okay, I think she fell asleep on the bench."
  483.
  484. Sora exclaims, "Nope!"
  485.
  486. Zio says, "--"
  487. Arthur sighed.
  488.
  489. It was always Theodore's job to embarrass Arthur like this infront of everyone, so he just learned to live with it, and held no grudge against this particular scenario. Even if it did feel wrong to be basically thrown at someone else so early.
  490.
  491. "Right, uh--"
  492.
  493. "What she said... I assume you came over to check up on me, Theodore? Or have you been fighting someone else?"
  494.
  495. It was worth checking up on his older brother too, even if he pulled things like that. They were a family after all, and surely petty things like that wouldn't change it.
  496.
  497. Momentarily, his gaze turned to Bei Bei once more, adding to her previous statements.
  498.
  499. "I do not really have a house of my own, so making pancakes might take a bit. I'll uh... see what I can do, maybe use one of these public kitchens in Academy for all of the students."
  500.
  501. Sounded like a plan, didn't it?
  502.
  503. "So that might wait a bit."
  504. (Arthur Rowan)
  505.
  506.
  507. Crow Irving says, "A bit of a wait's not a problem."
  508.
  509. Theodore Rowan says, "I've fought August, his magic proved too tricky for me to fight him."
  510.
  511. Juvia Shinka says, "No it's not."
  512.
  513. Theodore Rowan says, "He won, but it was really close."
  514.
  515. Juvia Shinka says, "Just wondering if you knew."
  516.
  517. Theodore Rowan says, "If I hadn't been blinded by his attack I would've won easily."
  518.
  519. Juvia Shinka asks, "So, what're these tokens they're talking about?"
  520.
  521. Crow Irving says, "It's a tournament going on right now."
  522.
  523. Crow Irving says, "Everyone gets three tokens to wager on fights."
  524.
  525. Crow Irving says, "If you win, you get the other guy's token."
  526.
  527. Juvia Shinka says, "Oh..."
  528.
  529. Crow Irving says, "At the end of a certain time limit, you get prizes based off how many tokens you have."
  530.
  531. Juvia Shinka says, "Well, I'm gonna go try to talk to lady Cho."
  532.
  533. Na'atl says, "<Why the hell am I even here?>"
  534.
  535. It's funny how things often come to be. Regardless of such a thing, the young girl found herself blushing still- to think of things on that level seemed entirely foolish. And...They were all so different, so terribly opposite that it probably wouldn't end well anyway. These little things of 'going' steady and being within school seemed sorta gross...And well, for now, she just wanted to get better- to prove her worth. Not just to anyone...
  536.
  537. But to herself.
  538.
  539. "I don't want to wait." She says softly, nodding briefly. "You've gotta get them to me two days from now- otherwise, I think I might just starve to death." She says. "Do you really want to be the cause of me dying in the academy?- I'm sure you wouldn't wanna be known as a murderer or nothin'." she offers a smile before looking towards Theodore with a curious glance. Huh..?
  540.
  541. Seems like there was always abit of trouble in paradise, huh? But to digress..
  542.
  543. "In any event, I think that the lot of us should ah...Well...Form a group up or something for the academy. Maybe, if we stick together, we can all win and everything'll be easy peezy." Mhm, mhm, mmmmhm.
  544. (Bei Bei)
  545.
  546. Turning to Bei Bei slightly shocked, he asked "The lot of us... Including me?"
  547. He hadn't been a part of any groups so far, so this surprised yet excited him.
  548. (Na'atl)
  549.
  550. Starve to death?
  551.
  552. Now, it's not that Arthur actually bought entirely into that, but she can't possibly be serious that she has absolutely nothing else to eat. She can't be serious that she would actually starve to death if she wasn't fed those pancakes. Or can she?
  553.
  554. Regardless, it wasn't a pleasant thought. Odd that he felt that way, really - for someone who planned to dabble in Life and Death with the Art of Necromancy, for someone who wished to obtain the knowledge of Riftmancy and defy the world laws--
  555.
  556. -- he's got some positive moral outlook on people that treat him well enough. Or maybe he's just too young.
  557.
  558. Who knows what he'll grow up to be?
  559.
  560. "I, uh--"
  561.
  562. "Suppose I better hurry, then. I do know where to get eggs, hm... but wheat might be a problem for that."
  563.
  564. He already began thinking. Where he could possibly get those? There should be at least someone selling that sort of thing, right?
  565.
  566. "And, um... group? I assume you mean partners. I was already assigned to be with Theodore, so that's that. Unless you plan to simply band together, then--"
  567.
  568. "Sure! That actually sounds like a good idea. I did get singled out by stronger people last time..."
  569. (Arthur Rowan)
  570.
  571. A group..? That'd stick together, and win? Triumph, overcome all odds, that sort of shit?
  572.
  573. Well, looking at the currently amassed group, they all looked to be children. He was a child too, in the eyes of some, but like, an older teenager - he was actually one of the older students, despite his relatively low strength level. Wouldn't it be odd to hang around a bunch of children?
  574.
  575. But then again...
  576.
  577. A part of him had been drawn to Arthur's passion. That conviction he'd displayed in stalwartly challenging others despite the fact he'd likely lose. The determination exhibited had been what made the kid so fascinating, and Bei Bei seemed to exhibit a lot of those tendencies, that drive that naturally compelled him to want to help.
  578.
  579. "I'm down."
  580.
  581. He'd throw his cards in the hat of fate -
  582.
  583. If the kiddies really wanted a group, he was interested.
  584. (Tlacaelel)
  585.
  586.
  587. Theodore Rowan says, "Uh, yeah, sure Jink girl."
  588.
  589. Theodore Rowan says, "You can be in my gang."
  590.
  591. It was all meant to make him hurry- besides, without a good meal every now and then, someone could actually wither away and die!- especially for a young, growing girl who couldn't help but to eat. In any matter, to digress though.. "I think that it'll be a good idea- we group up, protect one another against those big guys...Maybe even beat'em up and take all of their tokens.." They can refuse a challenge..
  592.
  593. But can they refuse four people?
  594.
  595. Of course, it could land them in trouble but...Isn't that what makes the game much more fun and demanding? "I've got juuuust the plan." Heh. This is gonna be good...
  596.
  597. "But we'll talk about that later, yeah? For now- we should ah...Just see what we're gonna work on together. Any of you guys got any cool projects or no?"
  598. (Bei Bei)
  599.
  600.
  601. Theodore Rowan says, "For now I have a cloud to catch and a dream to run through."
  602.
  603. Theodore Rowan says, "Later."
  604.
  605. Bei Bei says, "...'Jink'.."
  606. Bei seems unsettled by the word. Oof.
  607. (Bei Bei)
  608.
  609. Bei Bei whispers something.
  610.
  611. Jink doesn't settle right with him either. There's a slight frown, but not much else in the way of response.
  612.
  613. "What about you?" He asks instead. "What are -your- projects?"
  614.
  615. The girl'd come out of nowhere, talking about cheating and unity -
  616.
  617. But he didn't know a damn thing about her.
  618.
  619. "What's your name, anyway?"
  620. (Tlacaelel)
  621.
  622. Such a shady suggestion.
  623.
  624. But he knew that wasn't going to work, at the very least because it violated the rules of Academy - certainly, someone was going to hear about it eventually and actually discard their tokens, right? At least, considering the fact that each acquired Token required a report, it wasn't hard to figure out that the process was heavily monitored.
  625.
  626. "Mmm..."
  627.
  628. "There are things such as free-for-all fights, and that's when people are allowed to gang up in however big squads they want. But--"
  629.
  630. "About challenges: they can always decline challenges, unless they had no fight for over two days, and that's for solo combat. For group fights? Only two-versus-two is not allowed to be declined, assuming the partners are actually present."
  631.
  632. "So, yeah... I don't think that's gonna work."
  633.
  634. As for projects? Arthur didn't have any 'global' projects, obviously. He was too young to actually do something very large! And too weak at that.
  635.
  636. Regardless, there were some plans he's had anyway.
  637.
  638. "I plan to weather the Storm, personally. I also wish to learn Necromancy and Riftmancy, and--"
  639.
  640. "One day, when I grow up, I want to attempt tapping into Arcane."
  641. (Arthur Rowan)
  642.
  643. Tlacaelel is now observing Louis Jager
  644.
  645.
  646. "O-oh...Well...I was thinking more along the lines of doing really bad guy things, you know." Like, actually robbing people of their tokens. But then again, if someone does get caught...well...they could get in trouble. In the end though, what more should she say about the matter? All in all, she just shrugs. "Guess I didn't think that one through- oops." Both hands press upon either side of her features as she quirks an eyebrow...
  647.
  648. "Storm, Necromancy, Riftmancy..?-A-and Arcane?" It seems that Arthur had a full plate of things. Surely, he knew that it wouldn't be easy. Surely, he knew that this path...Would lead to some dangerous, dangerous aspects. In the end though, the Drakanite girl merely nods slightly..
  649.
  650. "I suppose that I, too, wanna learn the arcane stuff..." But she wants to be different. She wants to be better. "I'll do it some day, I think.." Maybe..
  651.
  652. "Other than that, I'm sorta...Jealous of you. I guess you've given me a lotta stuff to think about, Arthur-- a-and I forgot to introduce myself." She says, bowing slightly to him.
  653.
  654. "I'm Bei Bei- it's nice to meetcha...But err, I should get going. We'll talk later, yeah?"
  655. (Bei Bei)
  656.
  657.
  658. Na'atl says, "Sheesh, looks like someone has a crush."
  659.
  660. Chrom Sigma says, "I'm in the contest now, if you're looking to lose one still."
  661.
  662. Bei Bei says, "---Crush? "
  663.
  664. Bei Bei says, "-..."
  665. Bei puffs up cheeks again!
  666. (Bei Bei)
  667.
  668.
  669. Arthur Rowan says, "I... don't think he was talking to you."
  670.
  671. Bei Bei says, "O-oh.."
  672. Apollo is now observing Mina
  673.
  674. The boy nods, leaving Arthur and Bei Bei to their own devices. He'd offer his own name later, when things weren't so busy.
  675.
  676. For now, he meanders off, as was his way.
  677. (Tlacaelel)
  678.
  679. It was indeed quite a plate of things to learn.
  680.
  681. Necromancy alone was the sort of magic that defied the Death itself, and has led to many dangerous aspects that one must deal with this world- especially, the sort of things that Arthur has planned for himself.
  682.
  683. And Riftmancy? The power to rip through the tether of the world, to actually bend the rules on how reality works, it wasn't... really a safe thing to practice. Dylerun has already demonstrated just what Riftmancy can do in one of the lessons--
  684.
  685. -- and it's not something that Arthur would forget, ever.
  686.
  687. "Oh, yeah!"
  688.
  689. "I was actually interested in soul-transference aspect of Necromancy. One day, I saw the weapon with the bound soul of a woman to it. And she was actually speaking!"
  690.
  691. "But they say it's not exactly a safe process. It's something I plan to fix and further develop. After all, Lady Cho developed means to consistently resurrect people in perfect condition!"
  692.
  693. He was inspired by people like her. To achieve such greatness, despite not even being from the nation that practiced Necromancy for several centuries?
  694.
  695. It was worth commending.
  696.
  697. "As for Arcane--"
  698.
  699. "It is the power to control the world itself, or so I've heard... I've seen an Arcane mage just ripping through entire reality once, just by thinking about it! How cool is that?"
  700.
  701. With a pause, he realized something. They didn't even properly introduce to each other, and with that, he spoke.
  702.
  703. "I'm Arthur! But... you probably heard my name from my brother Theodore, anyway."
  704. (Arthur Rowan)
  705.
  706. Laphicet is now observing Mina
  707.
  708. Setzer Azahara is now observing Mina
  709.
  710. Setzer Azahara is now observing Chrom Sigma
  711.
  712.
  713. Soul transference. It seems like a terrible, terrible thing to get involved in. But in this case, she wouldn't bicker or say anything against the Rowan. Instead, she would become terribly quiet-- both hands pressing upon either sides of her cheek, tapping it more. "I hear that all of those magics tend to change people, you know..." She murmurs. "They always say stuff like that- and I think I've seen it one or two or three times, I unno." She was just terribly, terribly weary.
  714.
  715. "You seem like a good friend- and well...I hope you never really change, I think?" She knows that growth is something but still...It's always a little difficult to come to that realization, especially when they're all so young in the first place. But in the end..
  716.
  717. "Yeah, I did...But ah, yeah- I'll speak more about things later, right? I think we've got a lotta cool things to do soon.." And well..
  718.
  719. "Maybe we can practice more too- so that we can get a haedstart on the others." Atleast, to get the upperhand despite being so weak. "See yah around though, Arthur. Try not to get punched up by anyone else other than me."
  720. (Bei Bei)
  721.
  722. Gil watches in awe, what was this going on? the shinobi could not believe what was happening.
  723. (Gil)
  724.
  725. Gil whispers something.
  726.
  727.
  728. Gil asks, "... huh?"
  729. Power always changes people.
  730.
  731. A cheerful, kind and nice boy that she meets today could grow up to be something entirely else in the future, especially considering the sort of magics he intends to learn. It was almost too controversial to believe that a child like him could ever succumb to dark nature of these magics.
  732.
  733. Maybe he's willing to use it for good? But everyone has their own view of good these days, don't they?
  734.
  735. But he was far from being changed. His path was only starting, and the events that would mold and shape him into something entirely else have yet to happen. For now, he was still the innocent, young Valmasian boy - and would likely remain that way for few years to come.
  736.
  737. "You're a good friend too, Bei! Even if you make me cook pancakes."
  738.
  739. A short smirk added to the last statement, before he'd continue.
  740.
  741. "And sure, see you around! Coming to think of it, I do have some things to do on my own, so... I'll see you later!"
  742.
  743. With a wave, Arthur was leaving, headed somewhere south.
  744. (Arthur Rowan)
