Daydun's OWoP Rules

Info:
We only give moderator to people we know and trust, there's no point in asking for it.
Admin is given to the people who create the game. Programmers, artists, bill payers.

Try to keep discussions in their corresponding channel, this is not strictly enforced though (example: off topic discussions in #off-topic)

To get your world protected, you need to provide the world name and requested password to an admin. Admins highly dislike setting world passwords though so it is suggested that you only request one if you really really need it.

Rules:
:one: Don't spam.
    :dot: Don't send the same message over and over again.
    :dot: Don't send repeated pointless messages meant to annoy others.
    :dot: Avoid typing messages in all upercase letters.
    :dot: Don't explicitly advertise competitors to OWOP.
:two: Don't grief.
:three: Be nice and act mature, jokes should be tolerated.
    :dot: Don't deliberately provoke others. And don't be annoying.
    :dot: Don't draw or post anything inappropriate in public spaces. Things like nudity.
    :dot: Don't talk or draw anything explicitly political.
    :dot: Take what people say with a grain of salt, it's not always true.
    :dot: Don't get offended by what others say, it's just pixels on a flashing rectangle.
    :dot: Don't take part in patriotic activities at spawn, like repeatedly drawing flags.
:four: Please speak English in the main world.
:five: Don't impersonate other people.
:six:Don't share or trade anything that could be used for griefing. Don't share bots, this is to eliminate script kiddies, I hope you can sympathise
:seven: Don't do the job of the moderators.
    :dot: Don't clear regions in OWOP using bots out of altruism or based on it's content.
    :dot: Don't moderate what others draw and express.
    :dot: Please inform the staff if anyone is violating the rules instead.
:eight: Don't connect to OWOP using proxies or vpns.
:nine: Bot rules:
    :dot: Don't bot near spawn (roughly a 1.5k pixel radius)
    :dot: Don't paste non-pixel art images
    :dot: Don't paste large images
    :dot: Preventing others from drawing (Protecting an image for example)
    :dot: Bots are more strictly regulated, they need to follow all the regular rules.

Examples:
    :white_medium_small_square: Don't repeatedly draw large obnoxious flags. It is annoying, spam, politics and often griefing.
    :white_medium_small_square: Don't use bots to draw obnoxious images without permission from staff.
    :white_medium_small_square: Don't be patriotic or try to impose your world view on others
    :white_medium_small_square: Don't fill huge regions of a single color (voids), it prevents new art from flourishing and sometimes it's used to wreck already existing art.

Exceptions can be made if permission is given from the staff, examples:
    :white_medium_small_square: sharing bots with the permission of the staff.
    :white_medium_small_square: connecting using proxies with the permission of the staff.
    :white_medium_small_square: making a joke about daydun being fat with a daydun fat joke license

The rules may change at any time, it is your responsibility to stay updated. This should only affect you if you're doing sketchy stuff, using common sense usually keeps you from not being banned.

Protection rules
If you want to get your art protected, it needs to follow all these criteria:
:one: It needs to have required talent. Pasted or "traced" (copied, pixel by pixel) images won't be protected. Just because your drawing took a really long time to make doesn't mean it required talent, gradients and huge shitty drawings won't be protected.
:two: The closer it is to spawn, the better it has to be. Closer to spawn the space is limited and more people see it, this space is reserved for only the best art.
:three: It should not be upscaled, if it's scaled up it's just larger than it probably needs to be. It takes up unnecessary space.
