Vulpines tend to be a relatively common sight around Layleaux, one more shouldn't immediately stand out.  Though somehow, this one does.  He stands relatively short, about 5'4" from the ground to the top of his head, with his ears sticking a few inches further than that.  He has no 'hair', the top of his head covered in the same fur as the rest of him.  He doesn't have the traditional colors of a fox; while his ears, limbs, and 'mask' around his eyes have the same russet orange of most foxes, the rest of his fur is grey, his guard hairs a light foggy color, with a darker smoke along his undercoat.
He's mixing up his usual outfit today, having traded in his usual robes for a woman's kimono.  The red silk covers him from head to toe, patterned with blossoms of peach and gold.  A broad obi cinches tightly around him from his chest down to his waist.  He's certainly pretty enough that he could pass for a woman, though he still retains his mannerisms enough to dispel any ambiguities, his demeanor still quite comfortable in the effeminate outfit with his tails swaying behind him with each confident step.
Yes, tails, plural.  Kitsune are much more uncommon than mortal vulpines, but still not too uncommon around these parts.  While traditionally creatures of fire, many are more closely attuned to other elements, and Ido's affinity for Time is no exception.  As such, while typically he bears six tails, he might have anywhere from one to the full nine depending on what point of his life he's currently in.  Age is such a fickle thing to a time traveller, after all.
He smiles warmly as he notices you looking at him, giving his head a polite nod.  Despite kitsune's nature as trickster spirits, he seems approachable enough.
