  1. Hey there! :3
  2.
  3. I want to start off by saying this plot is absolutely beautiful! However, as this is an Apprentice plot, the critiques have to be very strong. Therefore, don't feel discouraged by the feedback at all.
  4.
  5. Firstly, terrain. I love the cliffs/small mountains you have, they look really nice! I'm loving the stripes of clay running through them; gives a look of flint through a mountain, like in real life. Or at least darker rock. I like the amount of terrain you have; I think it's a good amount. But because most of the plot is covered by structure, it hides a lot of it. So the terrain you have /open/ needs some more 'decoration'. I can see you've done a bit of this, with some grass and azure flowers in areas, and I agree that this is a nice look keeping it minimal. However, as you don't have much terrain on show, I think you're going to need to add more than this. If you want to keep to the gothic theme, you could add some really overgrown areas, with soulsand and nether wart, and coarse dirt with ferns/tall grass etc. Some small details that will increase the gothicyness! :3
  6. The water areas are cute! However, because you've left them as plain water, it's a little too simple in comparison. Some details on the water would be lovely! You could make some patterns in the water with other blocks, like obsidian (thinking gothic) or something lighter if you wish.
  7. I will admit, I do like the atmosphere the plot gives you when you're down on the ground. I loved walking around the town. But some areas felt a bit too open to be atmospheric. (I'll mention more about this in the structure section.
  8.
  9. Secondly, organics. You have some really lovely trees! However, you don't have too many organics after that. I thought you mainly built organics? :p
  10. Either way, I think it would be better to add some more trees, especially in the open areas.
  11. Or you could build some custom flowers. Keeping with gothic theme, you could make them dead, or dark, or you could build some 'poisonous' plants, like Venus Fly Trap(ish) plants etc.
  12. You could also fill some of the area in the sky with air organics! Crows? Vultures? Etc.
  13.
  14. Lastly, structure. As atmospheric as it feels, I do feel like there's a little too much structure on here that looks too similar. I understand it's supposed to be a large village, however you could change up the styles a little. Every roof is the same, and it gets a little too samey to look at (from above).
  15. From the ground view, everything looks a bit too grey. You definitely need some more colour in with the buildings, or at least around the buildings/on the pathways.
  16. Plus, most of your houses have only one layer of depth, and all appear very flat on the front. I would have suggested using a frame, like this:

  18. This would be in place of the corner stonebrick blocks (the logs in the image) and then the stone/cobblestone (the wool in the image)
  19. Your large structure looks really nice! I'm liking the gargoyle organic on the front; looks really spooky. It feels like a large door, which is really creepy and imaginative! The full block detailing is nice, however I think the top layer needs some more detailing. It's very flat and one layered - you could make some shapes from stairs/slabs, and add multiple layers instead of only one!
  20.
  21. Good luck!
