Chapter 58-Part 1

After school, Tomboy-kun, Cringe-kun, Shy-kun and I had stood in the middle of the Committee room.

Prez-kun briefs us with a terse, but thorough speech before we conducted our investigation.

"Students and Members of the Honorary Committee, as you are already aware, we have a problem at hand."

He proceeds to look over at Tomboy-kun, whom had a scowl on his face.

I also had a similar feeling of anger, but for a different reason.

Pursing up his square-rimmed glasses, Prez-kun clears his throat and continues giving his speech.

"Our client, present today, has come to us with a request to find an item: one wallet. This is a problem that has a solution, and we are the solution. We are to search at the last place where said client had seen the wallet, which is the town arcade. You are to split up into two groups."

(Uh-oh.)


"Motonoya-san and Kamamori-san, you two will take the west end of the arcade."

He points a rigid finger at Cringe-kun and Shy-kun as he says this.

(I knew it...)

My hand trembled with fear, as I knew who I had to be paired up with.

"The group that will check the east end of the arcade will be our client Nohara-san, and..."

He points his finger at me.

"You."
