Awesome Humans Rescue A Beached Great White Shark

On Monday, a great white shark was stranded on a Massachusetts beach. Instead of leaving the shark to die, a group of concerned beachgoers rallied around and helped to return him into the water!

Boston Globe reported that the animal was struggling to breathe after it washed up on the shore.

Bystanders helped throw water on the shark to keep it alive. Later on, a group of rescuers from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy arrived and they were able to tow the fish back into the sea using a rope. They were guiding the shark into deeper water via boat. This awesome footage was posted on YouTube.

Because of the help of humans, the shark returned to the water alive and swam away, those gathered on the beach cheered and clapped with excitement.

Chatham Harbormaster Stuart Smith, who was called in to help, said: "Twenty, 25 years ago, they wouldn’t be exactly helping the shark. They’d be harming the shark, but now every single person on that beach was trying to assist it. The people on the beach made the difference."
