  3. Note that I started writing Veronika as a unicorn because her race was undecided at the time or writing.
  4.
  5.
  6. >be currently unnamed Soviet pone
  7. >sitting by the midnight bonfire a few miles outside of a decently sized industrial city
  8. >you and 6 other ponies you've never met before just got shipped out to the outskirts of the town to stand guard from fascist ponies
  9. >you used to be a regular Citizen
  10. >but due to conflicts with the independent Nazi nation of Germaney you've become an unwilling mare of the hour
  11. >you had no experience with real-life combat but you loved your nation too much to cower before the better equipped, more experienced army of the Germanians
  12.
  13. >your band of comrades were playing music and singing songs from their villages
  14. >the chance of meeting any Nazis wandering this far north was unlikely to say the least
  15. >you weren't upset with your new-found comrades because of that fact
  16.
  17. >the heart of the Germanian people still lay closely affiliated with the Princesses
  18. >the Royal Sisters were cherished by them, the praise they got and how highly Germaneians thought of them blew Equestrian patriotism out the water
  19. >suffice to say encouragement to end the battle for ideologies from the princesses is the only reason Germaney hadn't launched a full on invasion
  20. >and you thanked the Celestial sisters for that fact every single day
  21.
  22. >despite the Princesses best effort though, the disgust your enemies held for anything not following their ideology still drove them to send out several Death-Squads who roamed your lands like a plague
  23. >killing anything resembling military stationed ponies
  24. >obvious scare tactics
  25. >but it worked on the general population
  26. >...and on you
  27.
  28. >the songs of home filled the chilling night with joy and vodka ran soothing like the Volga river
  29. >just when you thought this entire war thingy just might turn out O.K a low whistling sound could be heard
  30. >the singing and dancing stopped, the ponies around you frozen in their tracks
  31. >everypony knew what it was but it took a second to realize it
  32. >you yourself wanted it to not be what you knew it was
  33. >maybe if you wished hard enough..
  34. >no
  35. >this is a time for action
  36. >you howled out for your commands to duck and cover before hoping behind a log yourself
  37.
  38. >the blast of the artillery shell was deafening
  39. >your world turned to white
  40. >nyet
  41. >tonight was not the time to lose consciousness
  42. >tonight was the night you fought back the heartless monsters who murdered your fellow countrymen for fun
  43. >channeling the magic of your horn you grab a hold of your rifle and fire at the opposing threat who was baptized in the shadows of the forest
  44. >you see several of your comrades pick up arms as well
  45. >one shot, two shots
  46. >the more you fire the more likely you are to hit
  47. >even if you can't see them
  48. >you and your squad fire for a good thirty seconds at the forest flora were the Nazis were last seen
  49. >nothing
  50. "maybe we got them all?"
  51. >your comrades look amongst each other, the firing of their rifles seized
  52. >a beefy built stallion was the first to raise his voice
  53. >"Da, the fascist pigs cower behind the element of surprise, but are no match fo-"
  54. >you see his previous tired muzzle contort and twist
  55. >looking further down a tiny trickle of blood ran down his chest
  56. >accompanied by a massive exit wound by his left flank
  57.
  58. >vorrücken!"
  59. >a shower of lead hits your position and you flail to the ground behind your log on instinct alone
  60. >you can hear the agonizing screams of your comrades behind the sound of germaneian orders and machine-gun fire
  61. "T-they were not quick enough..."
  62. >you whisper under your breath
  63. >your breathing speeds up
  64. >after the machine guns had stopped mascaraing your squad you hear but a single pair of hoof steps approaching your position
  65.
  66. >this is it
  67. >your chance to take one of these monsters with you to hell
  68. >as silently as you can you cast a telekinesis spell, unsheathing your rusty, dull combat knife
  69. >it wasn't the sharpest, or the most resilient
  70. >but jam it into a Nazi's eye-ball enough times and it does its job just fine
  71. >once you heard the hoof-steps had seized just in front of your log you let pure, animistic instincts kick in
  72.
  73. >you swing over the log in one smooth motion and furiously slice and dice towards the Fascist pig standing in front of you
  74. >you saw red
  75. >nothing was gonna stop you from killing this deranged Fascist enemy of the Motherland
  76. >you swipe right and the pony dodges
  77. >you swipe left and the pony doges
  78. >you overclock your magic and let out a barrage of furious stabbings directly forward
  79. >the pony in front of you positioning herself so that your knife finds it's target in one of the many reinforced pieces of armor every time
  80. >ruing your blade for every strike that did not hit flesh
  81. >with your magic at the edge of burning out and your knife little more than a handle from hitting nothing but reinforced steel you weigh your options quick
  82. >seeing no other way out, you toss aside your shattered blade and jump the Nazi, hooves first
  83.
  84. >before you even manage to land a single punch however, your opponent has smashed one of her steel-covered hooves into your ribs, the force trowing you back against the log you previously used for cover
  85. >from your position you could see a couple of other Nazi ponies near the forest clearing, accompanied by a walking siege-machine, all amused by the beating you were receiving
  86. >you shuttered
  87. >'shouldn't have had so much vodka' you think to yourself before the Nazi finally spoke up
  88. >a low murmur of a giggle could be heard from behind her fully guarded helmet
  89. >a movement of the neck, and some consecutive sounds of oiled metal clicks later and the mask of the beast came off
  90.
  91.
  92. >cold eyes met your own
  93. >heavenly blue eyes beaming confidence and superiority looked down on you while you clutched your previously kicked-in ribs
  94. >her mane and coat was like from the propaganda postera
  95. >fresh snow white coat, upon a buttery blond yellow mane
  96. >there was no doubt in your mind that this pony was a full-blooded Aryan
  97. >"Meine meine meine. Ist this the best the Red Army has to offer?"
  98. >you tried to get a word in but were interrupted by another surge of pain coming from your chest
  99. >the Nazi in front of you let out a smug giggle
  100. >"Aw, look at you, totally defenseless against might of Aryanne. I could have killed you minutes ago. Und now you're covering your broken rib, shrunken into ze fetal position with no way of retaliating. Pah! You are the perfect analogy for your pathetic leaders."
  101. >your chest was heaving in pain
  102. >even breathing hurt
  103. >but you needed to know
  104. "W-why?"
  105. >"Why what? Why have I yet to embed meine knife into your skull, showering myself in a fountain of your commie blood?! Ist that your wish little pony? Do you want momma Aryanne to make the pain go away?"
  106. >you could feel the rage inside you building up
  107. >if only you could do some cool explode'y head things with your magic
  108. >but alas your grasp on magic was lacking to say the least
  109. "Why are you guys doing this! The death-Squads, why are you such a heartless witch!?"
  110. >that seemed to... insult her?
  111.
  112.
  113. >her smug condescending look turned to one of legitimate confusion and anger
  114. >"Hey! We are fighting der good Kampf! We're ze good guys, YOU and your fellow race traitors would sooner see us mingle with ... Urgh, zebras unt other undesirables, than to march forward into the dawn as a pure, united Equestria under one Princess! Ein Führer!"
  115. "That is crazy! You can not go around and kill off anyone who disagrees with you. What happened to friendship? Comradery? Compassion?"
  116. >she lowered her gaze towards you
  117. >"Such thinking is not fitting of the master race, outdated primal urges to help the weakest of our society? Poor bewildered little commie. Now, do you want to finish this or are you to waste more of my time by talking. Get up!"
  118.
  119. >you try to get yourself back up on your hooves but your ribs are protesting
  120. >"Get! Up!"
  121. >Aryanne produces a knife from one of her armor's many pockets and sheathes, and kicks it over to you
  122. >"In the fields of justice, blood is the ink of the history books, now GET. UP!"
  123. >you eventually managed to stand on all four
  124. >your chest heaving in pain
  125. >Aryanne locked eyes with you
  126. >she's so close to you now
  127. >you're almost touching muzzles
  128. >that's just when her pupils turned to needle-tips
  129.
  130. >surprise and disgust could clearly bee seen on her face
  131. >"Ist that... the stench of Vodka on your breath?"
  132. "Why so? Can the fuzzy prunes from Germaney not drink anything that does not taste of herbs mixed with bird-shit?"
  133. >at least you had one last insult on her before you meet your comrades again
  134. >"Nein. I refuse to challenge a... Lowly DRUNK! To die in eine honorable death!"
  135. >she walked back to the Nazi seige-machine, stomping her hooves with every step and pulled out a first-aid kit
  136. >Aryanne angrily tossed the med-pack at your feet while snorting
  137. >"Come see me on ze frontlines when you've sobered up!"
  138. >she barked angry orders towards the rest of the Nazis who followed her lead out of the forest without question
  139. >as a last farewell you could hear Aryanne screaming with anger at the top of her lungs within the depths of the forest
  140. >"This is nicht over, Kommunist! I will find you unt drink your blood in the fields of justice once you're back to full health!"
