  1. The Andrethi Civil War/Great Clan War
  2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  3. The Powder Keg: When Andreth reemerged from the interplanar void, the aftermath of the apocalypse of the old world finally began to effect the people of the FHS. With the loss of the most advanced portion of the city, all the airships in Andreth at the time having crashed and exploded violently, and the subsequent loss of a lot of Clan Varke's knowledge of advanced technology, the Daiimad scrambled to do something to ease the massive amounts of stress being put on the Clans of the FHS. The world around them was a new, alien one, and many were hesitant to leave the walls of the massive city for fear of what lay outside. What was outside that could be seen were the wreckage of a multitude of airships, who's crews that had survived had returned to the city as fast as possible. With that, the food stocks of the city began to decrease over the course of 4 years, until the Clan-Sah of the Daiimad reached a breaking point, until one fateful day when the Selvan-Sah attempted to assassinate the Vay-Sah over his reluctance to share his clan's similarly depleted food stocks. She was immediately killed by the Daiimad Guard of the Vay-Sah, which promptly escorted him out of the building. When Clan Taiida attempted damage control, both diplomats sent were turned back, and the 3 clans began to assemble their allies for the war they all felt coming.
  4. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5. War begins: Assembling their allies, stocks of weapons and supplies, the streets of Andreth erupted in open warfare as the 3 clan's forces opened fire on one another using what guns were left. In the meantime, Clan Varke scrambled to recover and safeguard what little information was left in the city that wasn't in the mind of some soldier already dead or some book not consumed in the flames of a flamesprayer. After 2 years, most of the handguns fell silent as the last of the powder stores ran dry, and after 3, the stocks of incendiary compound for the flamesprayers ran out too, reverting the 3 sides back to bows, spears and swords. Many battles were fought and some minor clans were wiped out in their entirety as the war dragged on for a total of 5 years, resulting in thousands dead, and many more wounded or crippled. The loyalty of the Awoo and Half-Awoo mostly lied with Clan Vay, giving them a decided advantage once the more advanced weapons fell silent for the last time, as their immense strength and stamina made them the most powerful of line breakers, which gave them more then a few victories. With a treaty signed earlier in the war, prisoners were treated well, and torture or execution almost completely unheard of, which would come to help the clans after the war ended.
  6. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7. The end of the war: After 5 long years of war, all sides were exhausted and looking for a way out. Clan Taiida ultimately decided to take a chance and signed an alliance with Clan Vay, with all clans under them either joining them or defecting over to the side of Clan Selvan. Finally, on the 5th anniversary of the wars beginning, a final peace treaty was signed between the Vay-Sah and the Selvan-Sah, ending the war finally. The aftermath of the constant fighting left much reconstruction to be done, and many clan's positions as major powers were shifted, with Clan Selvan being forced to atone for their actions in starting the war, and Clan Vay sitting as the most powerful of the remaining factions. The Vay-Sah, after careful consideration, chose to reform the Daiimad, returning the City to order and stability. The advanced but completely useless weapons of the old FHS were locked away, almost certainly never to be used again, and the now reclusive Clan Varke stepped in to guard the vault they were stored in, taking it upon themselves to guard the last vestiges of the old power they used to wield. Some of the surrounding countryside has been claimed, and the food stores have steadily replenished thanks to methods of farming saved by Clan Varke during the war. Now, finally, after much bloodshed and strife, the Free Human Remnant begins to pull itself out of the hole it fell in...
