  1. On the drow and their lies. by Hyldan the Ironface.
  2.
  3. What shall we do with this ancient pestilence set upon our ancestral caverns and halls of stone; the drow? Centuries of misfortunate dealings have informed our people all too well on the treachery and dishonesty of these rascals! Pray tell, who among you has made an honest wehrgild by way of commerce with those accursed dimwits! It would be unwise for us to listen to the fools who live among us, as they beseech our illustrious King Imdar the second, to look away and permit these curs to continue in their plotting and blasphemy! What fortunes have we lost, slid between our fingers by way of the centuries of drowish usery! This cannot go on, lest their scheming hands drain the final Wehrgild from the dwarven money hole!
  4.
  5. I will herefore offer my counsel to my kinsmen on the solution to the drow problem.
  6.
  7. Firstly, we must set fire to their unholy temples and then bury and cover whatever ruins survive incineration. We must take this as our holy charge, that our lord Saerin may know that we Dwarfs are not party to the blasphemy and villainy of these wretches, and we tolerate such acts no further! Saerin in his mercy hath forgiven Dwarven kind for allowing this kingdom of rats to flourish beneath our feet in our ignorance, but from this day I lay upon you the truth, and the way is clear! Their stupid elf writing will be as kindling, their stupid elf statues will be as concrete!
  8.
  9. Every hour that we offer hesitation, is yet another hour that the vulgar profanity that is the Drow cult of Lloth spreads through the hearts of our mountains. Hereforth it shall be made clear that Drow faith is nothing more than a myth. It's tenants fundamentally lend themselves to the legendary usery, huckstering, and trickery of the Drow in their efforts to abuse and extract wealth from the good Dwarven folk! A drow sermon stopped today is a wehrgild saved tomorrow.
  10.
  11. Secondly, we must take efforts to destroy every place of dwelling used by the Drow. They must be driven out from these places, that we may begin to cleanse our lands of their infestation. It is the way of the Drow to sit in opulent decadence and look down upon their victims of trade and sword as masters upon slaves. In the age of SAERIN, so shall they be made to reside in temporary dwellings, and in caverns and holes, and barns and stables, like animals. So that they may never again look upon themselves as LORDS in our realm. They shall be rendered nothing more than guests, and their conspiracy to hide in these dark places shall be the proof that they have been defeated, and shall be our claim to all that they once thought their own.
  12.
  13. Thirdly, Drow writing is the worst writing. All of the objects that the Drow claim to be books should be seized and destroyed. We can purge the realms of every last drop of Drow blood, but if we do not destroy their books, then the legacy and tradition of their villainy will live on to be rediscovered. We can ill afford the grief of yet another generation of filthy drowish hucksters in our streets. Tradesmen have already reported the absurd rate of seven wehrgilds for a buffalo foot of cave wheat being offered in Ril'auven. What will it be in another century? fourteen wehrgilds? Our patience has worn thin, and this loonery can continue no further!
  14.
  15. Fourthly, from hereon it should be decreed that the Drow may no longer engage in commerce within our realm under the penalty of death! These Drowish vermin come to places of Dwarven reside offering """deals""", when in fact they only come to take advantage of the good conscience and lawful obedience of the Dwarven folk! These villains inflict wanton suffering upon all things they touch, upon all unfortunate blaggards who are so foolish as to talk trade or coin with them! Nay, no more. I would sooner see our folk conduct trade with the likes of Mongbats.
  16.
  17. Fifthly, it should be decreed that free passage through the caverns and mountains be forbidden of these Drow. They have no business wandering about to such places that they wish to inflict more suffering either with their daggers, or their huckstering. Nay, let them stay home. That they do not aimlessly travel our lands looking upon our folk and lords with jealous and envious eyes, scheming with their mongbat brains the best way to part us of our wealth, good standing, and indeed the very blood within our veins!
  18.
  19. Let it be that each Drow knows only the good and wholesome labors as assigned to him by his new Dwarven masters. The charge that they shall face will be the fabled good day's work that they spend so much of their time trying to avoid. Let it be that any Dwarf who protects Drow from this fate shall be seen party to their blasphemy against Saerin, for their ways are a profane abomination in the sight of our LORD.
  20.
  21. Sixth, let all wealth and coinage possessed of these Drow be seized and committed back to the Dwarven Money Hole. It is only by way of centuries of usery, deception, and theft that they have come upon such treasure. Indeed, their traditions of lies and mongbat scheming have made them wealthy beyond measure. But nay, nary again shall their loathsome coffers ever fill at Dwarven expense! Let it be that their usery, huckstering, and scamming be driven from our realm by the whip and the sword ONCE AND FOR ALL.
  22.
  23. Seventh, let us put to these insolent dogs the spade, the axe, the hoe, the distaff, and the spindle. Let them earn their place by the sweat of their brow. Never again shall it be that good Dwarven folk toil in their numerous trades as these filthy drowish swine sit in their opulent places of hiding, feasting and farting as is their custom. As do they lust for the loins of he-drow and our precious wehrgilds, they shall now lust for labor and industry as the good lord Saerin commands of us.
  24.
  25. It would herefore be reasonable to assume that a great number of these Drow who may come to be indentured into servitude will act as bitter worms, sabotaging whatever projects they may be given. Making prey of our womenfolk, our children, and our livestock beneath our very feet! Of these Drow, let us swiftly give them the cudgel. Or mayhaps we should banish them to the surface and let the braggarts fend for themselves. Should my words find their way into policy, then we must be careful in following these proposals that we assert ourselves as Masters, and they as Beggars. These Drow should never be underestimated, for it is their way to begin a beggar and then by way of deceit and trickery, take advantage of the good will of their neighbors till they have squeezed their victims dry of all wealth - indeed the very marrow from their bones!
  26.
  27. Drow are a distinctly uncivilized vermin. This is self evident in all things pertaining to their culture. Truly, ----[UNFINISHED]
