HOW TO SAVE ON COVID TESTING: POOL TESTING.

In Germany they are multiplying testing per day by doing POOL TESTING
They test 16 samples of COVID at a time in one test kit (1 test). If NEGATIVE then they are all NEGATIVE and saved 19 tests for other patients
If the BATCH is POSITIVE then they divide all the samples into TWO batches, they test EIGHT and EIGHT (2 more tests). Then FOUR and FOUR (2 more tests) then TWO and TWO (2 more tests)  then ONE and ONE ( 2 more tests).

Now if you ADD all the YELLOW parts and substract from 16: 16-9=7.

CONCLUSION:

In the WORST CASE SCENARIO you  SAVE 7 TESTS.
In the BEST CASE SCENARIO you SAVE 15 TESTS.
