Design: Proto is more compact than his siblings made by Kirijo, however he is much heavier. Redundancies galore exist in him as the Self Defense Force tried to make the ‘boy’ almost fully autonomous and self-reliant. He has two computerized brains, one where his stomach would be and the other in his head. In the events of massive head damage the system can still function and return to a base. Along his body Proto has exhaust ports and panels designed to aid with cooling in an attempt to greatly offset the problem found with Orgia Mode.

In an attempt to make the machine less scary to soldiers it was designed based off the humanoid weapons of Kirijo fame, however it was designed around a male frame.

Shoulder length light yellow, almost white, hair that is longer at the back than at the front (goes halfway down forehead, nearly touching eyebrows). Thin eyebrows that could be easily mistaken for being drawn on. Thin oval eyes (think Eye Of Horus) with Tyrian/imperial purple irises. Body type is sort of thin athletic, but not ‘cloth like’ in the vein of Aigis. More metallic with ports and gaps along it like some manshaped metallic cabinet. All along his back are vents (like on some car hoods) to release excess heat and steam. His arms are slender and his hands are oddly well shaped for a male, looking almost dainty. His legs take on the more traditional Kirijo approach or being balanced in form yet aesthetically pleasing. Ending the tour are his feet. Like his sisters the boy has square peg looking feet with the added addition of two front spikes on each ‘hoof’.

Personality: Coeus suffers from the unique personality trait of being heroic. Loyal to a fault and confident enough that nothing can go wrong the android tries his best to see things positively. In an odd way he sees Aigis and Labrys as his sisters and despite being the newest model he tries, rather fruitlessly, to act like a big brother. Around those two he becomes protective and almost jealous of those they hold in high regards, i.e.: Minato and Yukiko. However he will never do anything against them, and his intentions for his “sisters” are good at heart, he simply has no experience with the idea of a ‘significant other’. If either of the two weapons are damaged though, Coeus will either kill whatever it is that did so or be stopped by the two.

On a whim Coeus can deactivate his personality returning him to being little more than a walking gun and when his ‘killing drive’ in a sense has been turned on, his personality turns off. However thanks to a few.. glitches there are times when he is unable to return to normal and this runs the risk of injuring or even killing innocents.

History: A joint effort by former Kirijo scientists and Japanese Self Defense Force, and the first of a planned long line of androids. Coeus is the alpha of the program, the first successful artificial intelligence made by the government and a huge step forward in mechanized infantry. The idea behind Coeus is that soldiers could be replaced by him, thus lowering casualties of human lives. Only recently finished the project proved to be a success, however luck has not been on their side.
