punk vs othersubcultures

Being punk is weird because when you’re punk, you like a ton of other sub cultures but feel far superior to all of them. I always think I see a punk and then am let down when I realize that it’s actually a metal head, or even worse, someone in a Sons of Anarchy jacket. Goth pretty much died out, but it was replaced by emo, which is practically indistinguishable from punk- sorry punk elitists. I don’t want to be the cause of any black shirt on black shirt crime, but honestly the main difference between Nofx and Taking Back Sunday is that Taking Back Sunday play songs written for 14-year-olds and Nofx play songs written by 14-year-olds.
