  1. ??? moon
  2.
  3. City of Theris (39)
  4. 12281
  5. The dark forest surrounds the village from the northern side. The trail that
  6. sprung off the common road heads off to the north among the dense, impenetrable
  7. trees. Silver rays of moonlight shine down brightly but fail to illuminate this
  8. part of the forest there is a darkness here that does not sleep, even in the
  9. daylight. A cold wind blows from the north and the eerie still silence is
  10. broken every so often by the chilling sounds of howling animals.
  11.
  12. Ravenloft in Barovia (203)
  13. 62108
  14. This room is adorned only with bare necessities. There is a bed, a small desk,
  15. and a pile of straw that vaguely resembles a nest. The ceiling is domed and is
  16. actually a large skylight of stained glass. The glass is broken into many panes
  17. and each one depict a different stage of the transition from man to bird and
  18. back under the light of a full moon.
  19.
  20. Pagoda of Enlightenment (390)
  21. 132558
  22. The path has switched from white sand to large chips of wood. Lush green
  23. shrubs adorn the path, each with a different color flower blossoming in the
  24. rays of the sunlight or glow of moonlight. Beyond the shrubs are pools of
  25. almost crystal clear waters. Fountains spring up from the center of each of the
  26. five water gardens, each boasting its own attraction. Lanterns adorn posts
  27. throughout the gardens to provide a dim light in the evening.
  28.
  29. Pagoda of Enlightenment (390)
  30. 132683
  31. A throne takes up almost the entire hallway. It sits atop a golden fleece rug
  32. with a red and black dragon painted on it. The throne is a shrine to the diety
  33. of this hall. Next to the throne is an altar, made of brass and gold with
  34. embellishments of semi-precious gems mined from different continents. Three
  35. components make up the altar: an elephant, a lotus blossom, and the moon.
  36.
  37. Enea's Temple (147)
  38. 43001
  39. An ample walkway runs north and south through forested land. Sunlight shines
  40. through the foliage during the day. At night, when there is a full moon, the
  41. leaves on the trees take on a bluish tint. Animals call to each other through
  42. the stillness regardless of the time of day. The trail is twelve feet wide and
  43. made of hard-packed sand, but the forest floor on either side is a softer
  44. almost bog-like material. A grass hut straddles the walkway in the north. Its
  45. appearance is incongruous from this angle, as there doesn't appear to be any
  46. grass around here.
  47.
  48. Enea's Temple (147)
  49. 43019
  50. The haunting tones of a beautifully played viola carry on the wind and neatly
  51. fill the space between the myriad trees. Moss, mushrooms, and ferns, grow
  52. between the fallen leaves and pine needles that blanket the forest floor. A
  53. trail of sand and gravel runs east and west, neatly bisecting the space between
  54. two rows of trees. Daylight is turned dark green by the abundant foliage, while
  55. what little moonlight filters through the trees at night only makes the area
  56. seem calm and inviting.
  57.
  58. Enea's Temple (147)
  59. 43002
  60. An ample walkway runs north and south through forested land. Sunlight shines
  61. through the foliage during the day. At night, when there is a full moon, the
  62. leaves on the trees take on a bluish tint. Animals call to each other through
  63. the stillness regardless of the time of day. The trail is twelve feet wide and
  64. made of hard-packed sand, but the forest floor on either side is a softer
  65. almost bog-like material. A grass hut straddles the walkway in the north. Its
  66. appearance is incongruous from this angle, as there doesn't appear to be any
  67. grass around here.
  68.
  69. Enea's Temple (147)
  70. 43004
  71. Fallen leaves blanket the rich, loamy soil underneath. Moisture condensing
  72. on the vegetation glitters in the moonlight as it collects each night, and
  73. helps cool the space during the day. The haunting melodies of an expertly
  74. played viola fill the air. The sweet scents of jasmine, lavender and bergamot
  75. gently massage the mind.
  76.
  77. The Lost Cross (152)
  78. 44306
  79. Overhead, the night sky is dismal and starless. A pink moon hangs off the edge
  80. of the eastern horizon. The ground is blackened sand, which is coarse and blows
  81. past swiftly with each gust of wind. Sulfur taints the air, and the smell of
  82. blood and death is almost overwhelming. Upon the ground, a large six-foot
  83. circle lies drawn out upon the ground. Closer inspection reveals it to be a
  84. huge pentagram formed in blood, surrounded by many intricate runes and sigils.
  85. Five large candles burn in the center of the circle. A small white china teacup
  86. of blood rests in the center with a small match laying at its side.
  87.
  88. Dark Tiger Glen (519)
  89. 133746
  90. A very small and filthy hut is filled with a strange moon-like light that is
  91. pleasant for the eyes. Skulls linked into a chain hang from the low ceiling to
  92. the messy floor. Amongst the dirt and rubble on the floor it is possible to see
  93. mysterious words etched on it. The only evident exit from the messy shack is to
  94. the west where the trees seem to allow the passage.
  95.
  96. Port of the Crescent Moon (345)
  97. 72102
  98. The shops lining the town square give way to an enormous tavern to the north.
  99. Its shadow engulfs the marketplace, providing relief for the local merchants
  100. from the midday sun. Above the front door of the tavern hangs a rickety sign
  101. adorned with a painted half-moon. The paint on the sign has faded to a dingy
  102. yellow and the hinges have started to rust. In contrast to this neglect, the
  103. front door of the tavern is sturdy and relatively new. Under the shade of the
  104. infamous Crescent Moon Tavern, the town square spreads out towards the
  105. southwest.
  106.
  107. Port of the Crescent Moon (345)
  108. 72106
  109. Only a few merchant shops are located in the southwestern corner of the market
  110. square. The cobblestone plaza is instead dominated by an enormous fountain
  111. commemorating the cycle of the moon. The thrum of continuous chatter from the
  112. bazaar is drowned out by the gurgling of water from the mouth of the fountain.
  113. The cobblestone square continues to the north and east, while the market ends
  114. abruptly to the west and south to meet the office of the local authorities and
  115. the town hall.
  116.
  117. Valkyre Guilds (178)
  118. 51208
  119. Four large wooden tables are crammed into this modest-sized dining area.
  120. Benches that side the tables are chipped and splintered. During the day,
  121. windows on three walls are opened to allow the fresh forest air to rush in.
  122. Small mirrors that are brought in at night are strategically placed throughout
  123. the room to reflect the moonlight. Another room in the cottage lies west.
  124.
  125. Temple of Luna (259)
  126. 81932
  127. Large blocks of dark sandstone form the north and east walls. A single, huge
  128. slab of red granite fills a broad stone arch to the south. Sconces fashioned to
  129. resemble pairs of intertwined wyrms support softly glowing white spheres
  130. between their foreclaws. Each block forming the arch has been engraved with a
  131. phase of the moon, with the center block bearing an arcane sigil with the
  132. outline of a human palm in the middle.
  133.
  134. Temple of Luna (259)
  135. 81902
  136. A mirror-like continuous obsidian wall forms a hemispherical tunnel which
  137. extends north and south. A faint white light from within the wall illuminates
  138. everything clearly. Within the wall are varying phases of the moon from waxing
  139. crescent to waning, with the full moon in the center and a new moon at either
  140. end. An intersection of passages lies to the south and an open path lies to the
  141. north.
  142.
  143. Temple of Luna (259)
  144. 81964
  145. A portrait painting of Luna, goddess of the moon, lighting the way for a
  146. daring midnight attack hangs upon the wall over a simple wooden desk. To the
  147. rear of the room stands a wooden cot with a footlocker at the end. A thin plume
  148. of smoke drifts up from burning incense on the right side of the desk.
  149.
  150. Temple of Luna (259)
  151. 81922
  152. Sandalwood incense smolders in clay bowls on either side of a straw mat in the
  153. center of a small room. Small tapestries of Luna, the goddess of the moon,
  154. depict her watching over her followers as they live or die and descend into the
  155. underworld. The ambiance is peaceful and pleasant.
  156.
  157. Temple of Luna (259)
  158. 81901
  159. A perpetual night sky hangs above. Ample light is provided by countless tiny,
  160. yet brilliant stars and a full moon seemingly fixed in position above an
  161. enormous temple to the south. The air is still and cool, fragrant with the
  162. scent of lichens and toadstools, sprouting from and covering stones and
  163. deadwood beyond the border of the path. Wrought iron gates stand to the north
  164. and a hemispherical tunnel enters a wall of obsidian to the south.
  165.
  166. Temple of Luna (259)
  167. 81957
  168. A wooden door bearing the symbol of Luna the moon goddess stands to the north.
  169. Sconces hold flickering torches on opposite sides of the passage. Carved in the
  170. door is a prayer to Luna for blessing.
  171.
  172. Temple of Luna (259)
  173. 81966
  174. A shrine resides at the north end of this small dark room. Constructed of
  175. black basalt, obsidian and other black minerals, it is an arrangement of
  176. rectangular blocks each on inset with a mother of pearl lunar phase. The new
  177. moon, is to the middle with crescents expanding to a full moon to either side.
  178. A small dish set with smoking incense cones rests atop each. Above and to the
  179. rear is a black marble column with a simple black metal candle holder, sans
  180. candle.
  181.
  182. Darken Wood (182)
  183. 52120
  184. In the forest between a shadow-occluded glade and a ring of glowing stones
  185. stands a stella of obsidian stone, and it bears the sign of the Hourglass on
  186. its top. The sides of the stella are etched with unreal, impossible images of
  187. things no mortal man has seen. A place where fluxes of power meet and weave
  188. into the nexus of a net, it draws more energy than it can safely channel. It
  189. rises into the dark sky, to meet the six stars shining with a cold, empty light.
  190. The very earth seems to shudder and shake where the stella stands anchoring
  191. the net of magic. And still it fights to attract and gather more energy, be it
  192. life-force or mana, the battle cry of a hunter or the death cry of a hunted
  193. stag, laughter or grief, moonlight or starlight...
  194.
  195. Darken Wood (182)
  196. 52161
  197. Enormous trees - pines, oaks, maples, eucalypti - form a forest like yet
  198. unlike any other forest in Sloth. The trees are mighty, majestic, of a deep,
  199. rich green slightly tinged with gold. They tower, they soar. Through them
  200. creeps a breeze of fantastic and lovely fragrance. The grass among the trees is
  201. of a very, very bright green, and the fantastic trills of a thousand birds fill
  202. the air with a charming melody. The shadows in the wood do not appear to
  203. conceal dangers; they mischievously mingle with light. They flow and play with
  204. sun by day, and dance with moon by night.
  205.
  206. Darken Wood (182)
  207. 52118
  208. Only sprinkles of silver moonlight fall through the canopy of great vallenwood
  209. trees and break upon the dark forest floor. They are hardly enough to see by.
  210. Actually, they magnify the darkness, granting it a mysterious, otherworldly
  211. quality. The air smells of hot sweat and anger, of spilled blood and fear. The
  212. leaves that cover the forest floor are of a deep red color, considerably bright
  213. as of fresh arterial blood. In the distance to the west, a clearing among the
  214. trees can be glimpsed.
  215.
  216. Tiger Glen (66)
  217. 19046
  218. A very small and filthy hut is filled with a strange moon-like light that
  219. is pleasant for the eyes. Skulls linked into a chain hang from the low
  220. ceiling to the messy floor. Amongst the dirt and rubble on the floor it is
  221. possible to see mysterious words etched on it. The only evident exit from the
  222. messy shack is to the east where the trees seem to allow the passage.
  223.
  224. The Heliopolis (441)
  225. 80516
  226. A large opening the ceiling of the circular room is angled with a mirrored-
  227. edge to reflect light into the room from the east. The room is somewhat
  228. brighter than the hallway outside, and a thin haze of incense hangs in the air.
  229. Trinkets of finery lay about the room - from goblets to bracelets, and small
  230. piles of gold coin that lay in heaps about the room and spilling off on to the
  231. floor. Great tapestries of luxurious silk woven with scenes of glory and myth
  232. flow down the sides of the walls to either side, displaying tales of greatness
  233. and victory - each decorated with images of the sun and moon.
  234.
  235. The Heliopolis (441)
  236. 80531
  237. Muffled voices echo through the halls of the Heliopolis, bringing with them
  238. the wispy traces of sweet-smelling incense. An open skylight above bathes the
  239. area in warm, golden sunlight, reflecting off the sheer-white marble of the
  240. walls and floor. Blue tapestries with golden thread at the ends hang upon the
  241. north wall, and is woven with thin silver threads that make out the outline of
  242. a moon transposed upon the face of the sun.
  243.
  244. The Heliopolis (441)
  245. 80509
  246. A grand, circular chamber is bordered by a wall of white marble to the north
  247. and west with shining, white marble blocks dominated by a large, ornate mirror
  248. in the center of the wall. The entire expanse of the room along the east and
  249. south edge is open to the air outside the Heliopolis, and a large open circle
  250. in the dome of the room allows for the sun to shine onto the nearly-reflective,
  251. polished tile. An extravagant mosaic of the cycles of the sun and moon are set
  252. into the center of the room along the floor in a circular patttern where, in
  253. the center, is set a tall pedestal with a great glowing orb in the top. Air
  254. blows freely into the huge chamber from the outside, continually refreshing the
  255. area with the sweet aroma of flowers and soft chirps of happy little birds.
  256.
  257. The Heliopolis (441)
  258. 80526
  259. A soft blue light beams downward through the center of the tower, and on to
  260. the wide floor of the first level where a series of runes and sigils have been
  261. painted onto the smooth stone floor. A winding wooden stair runs upwards along
  262. the outer edge of the room and into the upper reaches of the tower. A wide
  263. mural of the moon and sun enaged in a vibrant dance of cycles spans around the
  264. room upon the walls, and four large pyres burning with incense crackle and pop
  265. with softly glowing flames of blue, green, yellow, and white.
  266.
  267. The Heliopolis (441)
  268. 80521
  269. A shadow drapes itself across the floor of the hallway just to the north edge
  270. as a serpate corridor opens in the north wall. A large tapestry of red bears
  271. the large image of a woven half-moon rising above the horizon as the sun
  272. appears to dip below the same horizon. A red carpet travels along the center of
  273. the hall to the east and south where a faint noise not unlike a roaring fire
  274. can just barely be heard.
  275.
  276. Siren's Rock (197)
  277. 60002
  278. The beach is comprised of brilliant white sand with golden specks scattered
  279. throughout. Depending on the time of day, either sunlight or moonlight play
  280. upon the gold, making the beach resemble a magically enhanced treasure. Water
  281. laps methodically at the shoreline toward the south, wetting the entire beach
  282. at high tide but leaving the sand untouched during low tide.
  283.
  284. Irapuete (222)
  285. 69161
  286. Tall stalks of corn rise from the rich black soil here, whipping slowly back
  287. and forth through the air. The corn is bunched so close together that all
  288. directions become confused; the only hint as to the compass points comes from
  289. the direction of the sun and moon. Somewhere off in the distance the sound of
  290. deep voices in conversation can be heard.
  291.
  292. Undead Burial Grounds (117)
  293. 34966
  294. Clay statues and various ancient relics rest atop the freshly laid grave. A
  295. paulownian wood cross juts up from the ground at the top of the twelve foot
  296. long bed of black sand. The moonless sky is pitch black, void of the many
  297. beautiful stars that these lands are known for. The faint sound of footsteps
  298. can be heard, although it is impossible to tell from which direction they
  299. originate.
  300.
  301. Dark Valkyre Guilds (534)
  302. 135708
  303. Four large wooden tables are crammed into this modest-sized dining area.
  304. Benches that side the tables are chipped and splintered. During the day,
  305. windows on three walls are opened to allow the fresh forest air to rush in.
  306. Small mirrors that are brought in at night are strategically placed throughout
  307. the room to reflect the moonlight. Another room in the cottage lies east.
  308.
  309. Rita's Temple (54)
  310. 14807
  311. It's a small room, comforting in its own plain way. The walls are composed of
  312. wooden planks. It smells of fresh pine pitch on a hot summer day, and of dry
  313. leaves on a windy autumn day, and of ginseng. On a pedestal of gold, upon a
  314. plate of platinum, shielded by the most powerful sorceries the mortal sorcerers
  315. are able to conjure, lies the sacred relic of an age of dark perfection: Rita's
  316. diary. She used to keep it when she was young, mortal, and full of desires. It
  317. is highly doubtful she meant it to become a relic, much less a sacred relic,
  318. and least of all for public view -- but Greater Gods aren't supposed to
  319. complain about their worshippers' actions. Besides, she doesn't care. Other
  320. than the diary, this smallish room boasts nothing extraordinary. A structure
  321. that may serve as a ladder looks like it has been woven of moonlight, dew drops,
  322. and stars.
  323.
  324. Temple of Neptune (241)
  325. 73039
  326. The glory of Neptune is manifested here as the ginormous idol in solid white
  327. marble. The immense statue radiates a frosty white aura as if the god himself
  328. is standing before his subjects. Gold bands are wrapped around the base of the
  329. image of Neptune, and an equally impressive altar stands regally at the front
  330. on the floor before the statue upon which rests a stone tablet. The dome above
  331. the main temple area is painted with a heavenly image of Neptune, and his
  332. creation of the waters, the sea, and all life within those borders. A hole in
  333. the dome allows for both sunlight and moonlight to bathe the idol.
  334.
  335. Tower of Nexialism (56)
  336. 14996
  337. The trees stand so densely as to prevent movement in any direction but west.
  338. Shadows cast as by dispersed moonlight school lazily amongst the many trees of
  339. the forest. Otherworldly things appear to stir and stretch amid them. Mists
  340. creep this way and that through the woods, heavy with odors foul and sweet. A
  341. particularly dark shadow seems to lie over the north- western section of the
  342. forest, as if cast by a tall, thin structure.
  343.
  344. Four Towers Arena (173)
  345. 49414
  346. Scuffed Metal rungs embedded in the wall, provide a way up to a hole in the
  347. ceiling. The hole in the ceiling has been carved in the shape of a half moon.
  348. On the opposite side of this chamber, a massive fireplace is set into the wall
  349. with a chimney leading outside. A crackling fire fills the room with heat.
  350.
  351. The Island (17)
  352. 7064
  353. Spreading off into all directions is a barren moonscope of solidified lava
  354. flows and mounds of volcanic ash. Protruding from the valley trail is a great
  355. number of ocher, red, and black tree trunks, petrified and seemingly charred.
  356. The air here is dry, and there are few signs of any vegetation. The trail
  357. continues to the north or west.
  358.
  359. Pagoda (108)
  360. 33463
  361. The room is circular with grey walls and a concave ceiling. Almost like a half-
  362. sphere, except for there is a distinctive point where the walls meet the
  363. ceiling. Hanging from the apogee of the ceiling is a glowing sphere that lights
  364. the area in a ghastly silver-blue color. Against the east wall is dull black
  365. shrine almost like a fireplace halfway up the wall. Inside of the shrine is a
  366. small spinning moon hovering in place. Set against the north wall is a glowing
  367. torii standing ten feet tall.
  368.
  369. Mana Pools (274)
  370. 86032
  371. Quicksilver walls undulate like a giant bubble and glow like moonlight,
  372. lighting an intersection of two tunnels full of wispy magical energy. Space and
  373. time are noticeably distorted at intermittent intervals. The tunnels bend away,
  374. and around the curves your reflection can be seen in the quicksilver.
  375.
  376. Mana Pools (274)
  377. 86037
  378. Around a bend to the east, the reflection of another tunnel branching from
  379. this one undulates slowly on the wall. Eerie moonlight emanates from the
  380. tunnels surface. The semi-weightlessness provided by the mana and the
  381. constantly shifting floor underfoot make walking a dream-like experience.
  382.
  383. Ruins of Old Thalos (512)
  384. 74614
  385. The western half of the central portion of Thalos's open market venue is
  386. graced with a now-cracked, but beautifully appointed, wheel-shaped mosaic of a
  387. smiling crescent moon face, opposing a similar sun-face in the eastern half.
  388. The mosaic's are almost otherwise perfectly intact compared to the surrounding
  389. mess of rubble lining the square, which is mostly clear of obstacles. A thin
  390. layer of pale ash, comprised no doubt of the charred bones of Thalos's
  391. mercantile inhabitants, sits atop the bright purples, greys, and violets of the
  392. mosaic tiles. The square is bordered by the western city wall to the west, and
  393. to the south by the ruined meat merchant's stall. Beyond the stall about fifty
  394. meters to the south, rises the southwestern guard tower.
  395.
  396. Ruins of Old Thalos (512)
  397. 74615
  398. Intact, well-made stone benches lining the edges of the eastern half of the
  399. central market square of Thalos mark an almost comic contrast to the
  400. devastation elsewhere in the city. Bright yellow and black stone tiling are
  401. rigidly and well formed, making up the bulk of the open area. In the center, an
  402. impressive circular mosaic of a smiling sun-face opposes the matching, moon-
  403. faced mosaic in the west-half of the square. A number of carven obsidian
  404. statues of Thalassan fauna alternate with the benches along the perimeter. To
  405. the south behind the benches lie the ruins of Thalos's produce store, and to
  406. the north are the remains of the city bank.
  407.
  408. The Spire of Good and Evil (327)
  409. 37456
  410. A flat boulder, encircled by sand, has candles stuck to its surface in various
  411. stages of meltedness. Beside it is a simple doorless shelter with a wooden
  412. bench. Tucked away close to the spire's core is another small house with a moon
  413. and star cut into the door as some kind of special designation. The altitude
  414. here is high above the sky valley canyon with the port of Lyme visible to the
  415. southwest and the great Lymean volcano stands to the south streaming black
  416. smoke.
  417.
  418. Temple of Mnemosyne (481)
  419. 42561
  420. A wide set of three windows brings starlight in from the west as a gigantic
  421. moon drifts across the scene shining pale light upon the immediate area. A
  422. shiny brass telescope stands in the center of the area pointed at the star-
  423. filled sky, bearing a tiny inscription near its eyepiece. Dark shadows overtake
  424. the edges and corners of the gray-white walls of plaster as a dangling string
  425. of costume jewlry glitters and paints the alcove with colors of flickering red,
  426. blue, and green.
  427.
  428. Plane of Smoke (488)
  429. 25293
  430. An eerie moon shines above everything here with brilliant white light, bathing
  431. the tops of the smoke and energy masses with its beauty. The air is deathly
  432. cold unlike the rest of the plane, and seems to whisper infinite torments and
  433. reminders that death is near. The plane of smoke as it borders the Abyss is a
  434. desert reserved for abyssal fliers and extraplanar beings, gods and devils
  435. placing the universes pieces in place like a great puzzle unbeknownst to
  436. mortals.
  437.
  438. Plane of Smoke (488)
  439. 25290
  440. Te environment takes upon a quicker moving mass of dark smoke and and eerie,
  441. translucent gray color. The mass moves like a strange glittering fluid, waving
  442. like the tops of storm clouds in the night illuminated by the bright moon above.
  443. The toxic nature of the plane of smoke subsides in part with the introduction
  444. of the abyssinian influences, and the heat of the bordering planes gives way to
  445. the icy death that can be found emanating from the Abyss below.
  446.
  447. Plane of Smoke (488)
  448. 25294
  449. As if a huge astral whale burst out of the smoke, a large arm of smoke and
  450. abyssal energy bursts through the plane blocking the light of the moon and
  451. stars above, causing shadow once again to fill the area. The mixtures not only
  452. choke the light, but choke the breath of all lower creatures. The daemonic
  453. energies of the undead leand a most unhelpful set of hands to the planar
  454. travelers, drawing them closer to death and madness.
  455.
  456. Valley of R'Lyeh (132)
  457. 39512
  458. Ivory statues depicting the ritual of the moon stand in the center of this
  459. room. A small table with a wooden chair next to it is piled high with papers
  460. and scrolls. The flag of Cthulhu has been hung on the eastern wall and a small
  461. window watches the comings and goings on the street beyond the high stone wall
  462. that surrounds the courtyard of the building.
  463.
  464. Castle Black (206)
  465. 65072
  466. This room appears to be the honeymoon suite of the guest wing. The bed is
  467. huge, and there is a chair and a dresser with a mirror on each side of the room.
  468. A pink curtained window in the south wall is shuttered against someone flying
  469. up from the courtyard and peeking in.
  470.
  471. *Empty (454)
  472. 70678
  473. The Lunar Temple has been made out of blocks of a strange silvery-black
  474. material that appears to be stone, but in the main chamber of the temple itself,
  475. it appears that the blocks themselves are actually made out of glass. The
  476. blocks seem to be storing some sort of black silvery energy that swirls
  477. incessantly inside them. The blocks emit showers of magical sparks in time with
  478. the speed of their internal swirling, almost as if the blocks were designed to
  479. capture and store the very essence of magic itself. A painting of the moon
  480. fills the entire ceiling of thetemple, with overturned pews made out of marble
  481. strewn around the chamber. A marble altar can be seen to the north built to be
  482. the focal point of the temple, with the entranceway of the temple to the south.
  483.
  484. Saurian Frontier (446)
  485. 73516
  486. The rocky pathway splits into two separate paths traveling north and south
  487. into other canyons stemming from this larger one, and disappearing into the
  488. chalky environment spotted with small scrub. The lack of vegetation provides no
  489. shelter from the sun shining above. When the moon shines at night, the entire
  490. canyon shines white with the minor reflection of the white light from above,
  491. creating a ghostly aura about the place.
  492.
  493. Saurian Frontier (446)
  494. 73508
  495. The side of the mountain is covered in a precarious, but passable arrangement
  496. of stone leading higher towards a rocky precipice a few meters above. The odor
  497. of water and the sounds of it running can be heard from below the rocks
  498. somewhere, but no moisture can be felt to the touch while climbing the rocks.
  499. The wind picks up as travel continues higher and forces itself along the side
  500. of the mountain, as the mist hanging in the air swirls about causing odd
  501. effects in the moonlight.
  502.
  503. Saurian Frontier (446)
  504. 73486
  505. A large mountain covered with green grasses and small, frail trees rises from
  506. the ancient landscape to the northeast, and casts a shadow across the land as
  507. the sun and moon moves across the sky. Rocks of varying sizes have settled at
  508. the base of the mountain, and fan out over the ground here covering the ground.
  509. Ominous screeches and roars echo through the environment from several
  510. directions warning of the creatures that roam the frontier, sharing tales of
  511. misery and delight equally.
  512.
  513. Temple of the Sun (254)
  514. 80021
  515. A large chamber opens into a circular room with a huge skylight in the center
  516. of a large, patially darkened dome. Spanning the inside of the dome are scenes
  517. of an anthropomorphic sun smiling and drifting across the sky, shadowed by a
  518. glimps of the moon as it rises or falls below the horizon. Great warriors
  519. riding flaming chariots appear throughout the scene, along the walls and dome.
  520. The room is quite warm as the sun blasts through the skylight, reflecting from
  521. shining plates of bronze and gold set into the walls and floor. A large semi-
  522. circular archway, ornately decorated as the sun itself opens to the east.
  523.
  524. The Argosian Wreckage (443)
  525. 73200
  526. The weight of the dock above is held by two massive poles covered in barnacles,
  527. and extending downward into the shallow sand of the bay. A warm, lazy current
  528. sweeps the water in a counter-clockwise manner around the circumference of the
  529. area, and small schools of brightly covered fish can be seen darting back and
  530. forth as if they are slaloming the rays of light piercing the surface. The
  531. water is bright blue, and easily penetrated by the bright light of both the sun
  532. and moon equally, and the air is misty with the rising water droplets on the
  533. horizon from the tropical heat.
  534.
  535. The Argosian Wreckage (443)
  536. 73232
  537. Standing atop the forecastle gives a better view of the surrounding island's
  538. bay, and is now verily visible that the bay is shaped in a half moon sort of
  539. orientation opening to the northeast about six hundred yards behind the rolling
  540. tide. In the distance, a large marlin jumps into the air with a trail of water
  541. rising behind its body before it plunges back into the ocean's depths. As the
  542. deck of the forecastle tosses from side to side with the rushing tide, water
  543. collected from the ocean spray spills over onto the main deck.
  544.
  545. Ch'ung Kuo (107)
  546. 33169
  547. The front hall of Emperor Yao's palace is filled with sculptures and paintings
  548. of the moon. The hall has a dull gray tile floor and ocean blue walls. Pictures
  549. drawn on the walls with infinite detail illustrate the moons affect on the
  550. ocean tides. A large terracotta statue of a beautiful woman holding her right
  551. arm above her head stands in the middle of the hall. A glass case against the
  552. wall holds a precious pearl resting on a black silk pillow. To the north, a
  553. large oak door leads outside the palace. An exit to the east leads to a
  554. brightly lit hall.
  555.
  556. Ch'ung Kuo (107)
  557. 33185
  558. Yellow walls and a bright red carpet light up this lively and well decorated
  559. room. On the east side of the room a large oak bed with silk sheets rests
  560. against the wall. A picture hangs on the wall above the bed. At the foot of the
  561. bed there is an empty quiver and a sturdy wooden chest. Framed medals of gold
  562. and silver hang on the north wall in an impressive display of honor. Next to
  563. the door there is a silver stand cupping a half-moon shaped bowl.
  564.
  565. Ch'ung Kuo (107)
  566. 33036
  567. The first noticeable feature of this hut is the floor. It is covered in black
  568. tiles with white tiles inlaid to create a picture of a quarter-moon. A silk
  569. painting is hanging on the wall over the majestic brass bed. Next to the door
  570. there is a silver stand cupping a half-moon shaped bowl.
  571.
  572. Planar Nexus (493)
  573. 25600
  574. A wide area with rubble rounding the edges of a flat, red sand is dominated by
  575. a huge black, shining monolith of what appears to be onyx. As the alien moons
  576. revolve around the sky, the shadow of the great structure swivels like the
  577. shadow of a great sun dial. The sky is forever dark, spotted by thousands of
  578. tiny points of light varying in hue from white to dark purple, each twinkling
  579. with their own regularity like the facets of a wondrous gem. Footprints of all
  580. types mark the soft, dry sand, and lead into all directions, as they disappear
  581. into the alien landscape.
  582.
  583. The Web of Lolth (391)
  584. 132010
  585. A vast expanse of glossy obsidian serves as the floor of this immense chamber.
  586. A thick white dust slowly filters from above as the room occasionally shakes
  587. and shivers. Suspended upside down from the ceiling, a few small and decrepit
  588. branches shrink into the chalky cloud and shadowed darkness. A man-sized statue
  589. stands on its head in the center of the room. On the north side of the statue
  590. is an image of a burning sun while a portrait of the moon opposes it from the
  591. south. There are no visible exits from this lair.
  592.
  593. Lothlorien (375)
  594. 49829
  595. Tall trees tower over smaller Malorn and Evergreens. Large roots which are
  596. coated with a thin layer of moisture, and are hidden under a light mist, make
  597. travel slippery. Sunlight beams through the leaves on the branches overhead and
  598. reflects off the moist ground. The forest glitters in daylight and sparkles in
  599. moonlight. A trail leads west and south.
  600.
  601. The Rainbow Valley (374)
  602. 73115
  603. A new set of gates seems to have been erected at this spot marking the
  604. southern entrance to the Galavan community. The rounded archway stands about
  605. twenty feet high, and strange runes are engraved in the half-moon sign made of
  606. wood and banded with iron. The smell of the gates gives the indication that the
  607. structure has been built very recently, and it's dark stain still glistens in
  608. the sky's light. The cityscape stops completely at this point, and the savanna
  609. opens to the south signifying the demise of the stone roadway leading into the
  610. town.
  611.
  612. The Rainbow Valley (374)
  613. 73174
  614. The odd odor of burning incense has found its way into this area, and mixes
  615. with the heavy air of the sewage that flows through the tunnels below the
  616. Galavan town above. The darkness of the tunnels blankets the area,
  617. extinguishing any and all chance light that comes into the tunnels from
  618. elsewhere. Only the man-made light can pierce the darkness, by torch or by
  619. lantern, but the sun and moon have been given no quarter equally by the evil
  620. darkness that covers the aqueducts.
  621.
  622. Opera Symphonia (440)
  623. 19339
  624. Constellations of crystal dust wink in and out of existence in the faux night
  625. backcloth. A faintly glowing conjured moon hangs suspended in the air, adding a
  626. sense of depth to the artificial firmament. In the wing to the west of the
  627. stage are three vertical curtains that obscure the backstage from the audience.
  628. Small footlights disguised as seashells line the apron of the stage. In front
  629. of the proscenium are several low steps descending to the main auditorium.
  630.
  631. Valley of the Mage (44)
  632. 13320
  633. The smell at the top of the stairs is highly acrid. A shelf full of vials
  634. rests against a wall that is coated with a rainbow of stains. The western wall
  635. is covered with paintings depicting the moon in various stages, surrounded by
  636. figures representing the major constellations.
  637.
  638. The Crypt (248)
  639. 78059
  640. A small spec of light resembling a moon in a starless sky stares down from
  641. above. The ladder is hard to grasp due to trace amounts of slippery slime on
  642. several rungs. Immediately downwards, the ground can be seen.
  643.
  644. The Raven's Roost Inn (328)
  645. 37345
  646. A large, soft bed with an ornate silver and gold frame has been wedged into
  647. the southwest corner, and rests against the edge of a set of colonial blue
  648. curtains that span all the way to the east wall. Peering from behind the large,
  649. heavy curtains are several obscured shelves that appear to house books and
  650. trinkets of special interest. A skylight opens to the Thalassian moonlight
  651. above the inn, and bathes a stark white animal fur that covers a large portion
  652. of the gray stone floor.
  653.
  654. The Moon Temple (119)
  655. 35252
  656. The night sky rotates slowly across the doomed ceiling of the chamber. The
  657. walls and floor of the chamber are pitch black, creating the impression of
  658. walking on nothingness. Above, the moon circles in orbit around an elegant
  659. silver altar that rests in the center of the chamber like a planet in the vast
  660. sky. No single sound echoes in the placid chamber, and the only light is a
  661. faint bluish illumination that radiates from the altar.
  662.
  663. The Moon Temple (119)
  664. 35245
  665. A wise man surrounded by a nimbus of silver mystical energy looks down from
  666. the stained glass window covering the ceiling. He watches with a slight smile
  667. as smaller figures commence with ritual preparations. Shafts of moonlight
  668. coming through the window splinter, giving an ethereal feeling to the room as
  669. shadows and light twirl about each other upon the walls. The stairway stops at
  670. a door hovering in the center of a shining portal.
  671.
  672. The Moon Temple (119)
  673. 35253
  674. The full moon blazes brightly in the reflection of the sun's rays. Millions of
  675. miles below, the bright blue pearl that is Jared rests on a soft cushion of
  676. clouds as it floats through the empty space. A soft breeze blows through the
  677. nexus, but carries with it no smells or sounds. Absolute silence spreads across
  678. the expansive, star-filled sky.
  679.
  680. The Moon Temple (119)
  681. 35229
  682. A large marble building with thick pallid marble pillars spaced evenly along
  683. the front wall is directly to the south. A symbol of a white gold waning
  684. crescent moon sits above the archway. To the west lies the central dais and
  685. behind it an immense tower of white marble rises.
  686.
  687. The Moon Temple (119)
  688. 35241
  689. On the west wall, a tapestry shows a man in silver robes and a woman in
  690. crimson robes arguing with each other. They both point to a pale waning
  691. crescent moon hanging in the sky above. The tapestry has an elaborate border of
  692. embroidered stars and planets. A door stands in the east wall while the stairs
  693. spiral up and down.
  694.
  695. The Moon Temple (119)
  696. 35204
  697. Directly to the south is a large marble building with thick pink-hued marble
  698. pillars spaced evenly along the front wall. Above the archway is a pink gold
  699. waxing crescent moon symbol. The central dais lies to the east and behind it an
  700. immense tower of rose marble rises.
  701.
  702. The Moon Temple (119)
  703. 35213
  704. The encompassing circular wall of the tower stretches up toward heaven. In the
  705. center of the floor is a detailed tile mosaic of Jord and her two moons. Pale
  706. pink light telescopes down the shaft of the tower dancing across the floor.
  707. Limestone steps spiral upward.
  708.
  709. The Moon Temple (119)
  710. 35220
  711. The ceiling consists of a huge stained glass window showing a saintly woman
  712. surrounded by a halo of pale pink light. She looks on benevolently as smaller
  713. figures kneel around her in prayer. The glass fractures the moonlight creating
  714. an otherworldly scene as light shifts and moves along the walls. The stairs end
  715. at a glowing portal floating to the east.
  716.
  717. The Moon Temple (119)
  718. 35237
  719. Stretching far out of sight above, an exquisite tower of pale marble dominates
  720. the southern area. It seems to have been made from a single piece of marble and
  721. refined to a near mirror finish. Reflecting moonlight cascades the effect on to
  722. the neighboring structures and bathes the entire area in a silvery glow.
  723.
  724. The Moon Temple (119)
  725. 35212
  726. A massive tower of rose marble dominates the southern area, stretching to
  727. reach the clouds. It seems to have been hewn out of a single piece of red
  728. marble and polished to a near-mirror finish. The moonlight reflects off of it
  729. cascading the effect onto the surrounding structures and bathing the entire
  730. area in a pink glow.
  731.
  732. The Moon Temple (119)
  733. 35216
  734. A tapestry hanging on the east wall pictures a woman in pale pink robes
  735. feuding with a man dressed in white. A waxing crescent moon with a red tint
  736. passes in the sky above their heads and both figures point to it. The spiral
  737. stairway winds clockwise up and down and a door provides access to a western
  738. room.
  739.
  740. The Moon Temple (119)
  741. 35238
  742. The circular tower wall stretches up toward the heavens. A detailed map of the
  743. craters of the lesser moon is in the center of the floor. The pale silvery
  744. light telescopes down the shaft of the tower, reflecting figures of light
  745. across the map in the floor. A stairway spirals around the interior of the wall.
  746.
  747. High Plains (100)
  748. 30818
  749. A large volcanic cone rises sharply to the east, peaking in a wide smoky
  750. crater. Far to the south the moons of Jord sail over the great southern ocean.
  751. The dry brown grass of the high plain stretch out to the west and north.
  752.
  753. High Plains (100)
  754. 30817
  755. The sky is a wide expanse that extends in all directions. Jord's two moons
  756. cross paths against the southern sky. Down below on solid ground, large slow
  757. moving, shaggy mammals ammble around grazing.
  758.
  759. High Plains (100)
  760. 30801
  761. The top of the high plain is visible just above this vantage. Hiding in the
  762. shadow of the tall plateau are a number of smaller outcrops and beyond that a
  763. few fertile valleys. The area appears to be well inhabited by some sort of
  764. humanoids. Spanning across the southern horizon is the Great Southern Ocean.
  765. The moons of Jord are visible crossing thru the southern skyline at opposite
  766. trajectories to one another. A warm updraft of salty ocean air flows vertically
  767. upward parallel to the hard granite cliff to the north.
  768.
  769. High Plains (100)
  770. 30815
  771. The moons of Jord crisscross across the late day sky. The high plain of
  772. Thordfalan is the penultimate vantage from which to view the continent that
  773. spans out to the north and west. The great southern ocean, cold, blue, and
  774. deadly. Far on the edge of the southern horizon there is what appears to be a
  775. shoreline.
  776.
  777. High Plains (100)
  778. 30819
  779. An ocean vista spans the southern horizon. Jord's two irregular moons along
  780. with it's sun create an ever changing skyscape over the southern ocean. Warm
  781. arm drafts upward along the cliff face.
  782.
  783. Kara'sa (286)
  784. 91028
  785. Delicate cribs of carved moonstone stand empty at the far end of this small
  786. room. Dainty mobiles of stars and planets, made of precious gems, twirl
  787. melodically in a slight breeze that gusts from an unseen source. The faded
  788. carpet is patterned in a colorful design that shows two young children playing
  789. in a forest. Tiny, delicate playthings lie scattered haphazardly on the floor,
  790. as if they were suddenly left behind.
  791.
  792. Tomb of The Forever King (124)
  793. 37235
  794. A huge, cold ash filled firepit stands in the center of this large circular
  795. chamber. A wrought-iron spit and several slowly disintegrating logs lie around
  796. the base of the pit. Broken wooden work tables line the walls, fitted with one
  797. half-moon shaped side that allows them to fit the contours of the room. Rusted
  798. knives and other abandoned cooking utensils are scattered about the room,
  799. making walking treacherous. Wide darkened portals exit this room to the north,
  800. south and east.
  801.
  802. Kingdom of Jrontauq (33)
  803. 11186
  804. Enclosed by large branches and many smaller limbs, this area remains separated
  805. from the rest of the kingdom. Numerous vines seal every tiny crack in the walls,
  806. inside this web of nature. A beam of moon or sunlight illuminates this pocket
  807. of tangled branches through a small entrance on the north.
  808.
  809. Lycanthropia (95)
  810. 30012
  811. You are walking along a dark alley south of the manor of Lycan'thropia. It
  812. runs north and south. The cloudless sky is a velvety gray, uniform and unbroken
  813. by sun, moon or stars. The unnatural color has to be the product of very
  814. powerful sorcery.
  815.
  816. Palace of Thalassas (126)
  817. 38019
  818. The hallway heads north and south. There is a door of lead glass east. It
  819. shows a rainy day, with strands of bright ivy framing grey skies. To the west
  820. there is a stairwell, an iron rail decorated with climbing vines protects
  821. passerbys from what could be a nasty fall. The floor is made of marble. A frame
  822. of black marble surrounds a great red slab, apparently seamless, which contains
  823. several symbols of the moon in cream marble.
  824.
  825. Palace of Thalassas (126)
  826. 38005
  827. Multicolored slabs of marble have been used to decorate the floor with
  828. geometrical designs. It this particular spot they form a white sun on a white
  829. background, surrounded by the four phases of the moon. An aromatic torch has
  830. been placed on the western wall. It gives off a pleasant odor, not too heavy,
  831. just a suggestion of summer gardens and lime.
  832.
  833. Palace of Thalassas (126)
  834. 38020
  835. The four walls are glass doors, protected by wrought iron railings. The
  836. railings simulate twining vines, and the four doors are different but similar.
  837. The eastern door shows sunflowers, dew shining on their petals; the southern
