  21. INITIAL ECWOLF CONFIGURATION:
  22. ECWolf supports WASD controls but it isn't configured like this by default. These keys can be assigned in the control options menu.

  24. Also, ECWolf comes with an automap function but it's not bound by default. You can set it in the same menu.

  26. When playing in windowed mode, the "Windowed Mouse" option must be ticked to enable mouse use.

  28. You'd probably also want to tick the "Disable Y-Axis" option to disable forward/backward player movement with the mouse.

  30. OPTIONAL CLEANUP - Relocating the game data files:
  31. If you don't want the base game data files cluttering the main ECWolf folder, you can move them to %AppData%\ECWolf.

  33. You can choose to move them to any other folder you like but you'll have to include the path to that folder manually in ECWolf's config file. This config file can be found in %AppData%\ECWolf after ECWolf has been able to start up successfully with a game.

  35. MOD USE:
  36. The included user made map sets can either be played as they are (drag the .zip to ecwolf.exe) or in combination with the Cosmetic Upgrade mod (drag both the .zip and wolfcu.pk3 to ecwolf.exe).

  38. ECWolf can run map sets made for the original Wolf3D provided that they are "pure" map sets and don't require any source code changes. Such map sets generally only have two files: MAPHEAD and GAMEMAPS which can have an extension of either .wl6 or .sod depending on what game they're for. To run them with ECWolf, put those files in a .zip along with a blank file with the extension of .wl6 (or .sod if it's for SoD).
