- [15:05] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Well. I think this area would be suitable for the project, won't you? Far enough from town, still close. Situated between here and Obsidia. Lots of forest life, and the lake is lovely..."
- [15:05] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "And, above all, lots of room for growth."
- [15:05] Noel Elisheva says, ".. Definitely."
- [15:05] Ohtli stands at the lake's edge, inahling deeply. She smiles and seems...satisfied for once.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:05] Noel Elisheva says, "Hm."
- [15:06] Noel Elisheva asks, "Where would the Bird's Nest go?"
- [15:06] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "If you wish to put the gem to use today, I have it with me- ah...Good question."
- [15:06] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "There's a little rise to the west of here. Perhaps there?"
- [15:07] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "Somehwere...Up here?"
- [15:07] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "A good vantage point. "
- [15:07] Noel Elisheva says, "Okay. We can have the spirits get to work on it while we work on other things."
- [15:07] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Naturally."
- [15:08] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "You've been resting well I hope? I know you've got a lot on your docket with Thera."
- [15:08] Ohtli chops them trees real good like.
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:08] Noel Elisheva says, "Yeah! I'm more rested than ever."
- [15:08] Noel Elisheva says, "Finding that balance was important."
- [15:08] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "It is. But I'm glad you have."
- [15:08] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "I don't want to see any of you harmed or stressed."
- [15:09] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "As much as I didn't like the Hold coming to what it did...It is nice to be free of that duty."
- [15:09] Noel cuts trees.
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:09] Noel Elisheva says, "Someone else's dream."
- [15:09] Noel Elisheva says, "I'm glad we can all finally chase our own."
- [15:10] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "One I shared in part. When Eiphraem was awake. But now yes. There is room to chase a different dream."
- [15:10] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "I am looking forward to it."
- [15:15] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "Being the nature-magi-expert. How do you suggest we implement this gem?"
- [15:15] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "Or are there other preparations we can make beforehand?"
- [15:15] Noel Elisheva says, "It can power the forest."
- [15:15] Noel Elisheva says, "We can plant it deep in the ground, place a system to protect it, and let it grow to become THE tree."
- [15:16] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Well, yes- there we go. "
- [15:16] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "I actually have some pieces from an old project I did with Iosefka some years ago. Never got put to use in the Hold, but here? I think they'll be perfect."
- [15:16] Noel Elisheva asks, "Then let's do it, yeah?"
- [15:17] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "The tower here can be built, and this close to the settlement protecting the new growth will be simpler."
- [15:17] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Ah. Of course."
- [15:18] Normally there is much more fuss involved in patting down her pockets, searching through her coat. Not today. She knows -exactly- where that little life-giving bauble is. Ohtli plucks it from her coat, holds it betwixt her talons, and passes it over to Noel.
- "Here. Burying it far below you said. Yes?"
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:18] {Item} You drop Gem Of Life.
- [15:21] {GUILD} You contributed 1000 Wood to Levengard
- [15:21] {GUILD} You contributed 2000 Stone to Levengard
- [15:24] {Item} You picked up Bird's Nest Key. Dropped by Noel Elisheva. .
- [15:43] Thankfully, Ohtli puts his concerns about her having dementia to rest when she pulls out the orb without much effort. Somewhat relieved, Noel accepts the object beside the forming tower and makes his way back south a ways in search of a particular area with soil rich enough to use.
- "Right here should do."
- Amber eyes study the object for a while before the demi angel squats down and then rolls his left sleeve up, revealing a set of vines that were wrapped around his arm. As they twirl out to poke into and prod the dirt, the magi's slight smirk becomes a full on smile.
- "Alright. This would be a lot easier with an earth magi, but let me see what I can do."
- Three more large vines suddenly lash out from the ground around him and begin to strike at the lush grass, turning it upwards to reveal the soil beneath. And then? They drill down, down, and further down until several dozen feet have been cleared out.
- Then he looks back to ohtli dramatically and prepares to drop the orb.
- "Here we go. I was thinking about using the moss monster's talon to create a system of thorns that will protect and grow with the claw. How does that sound to you?"
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:49] Ohtli, thankfully, isn't dealing with dementia just yet. Borderline? Maybe, but technically? No. She follows a few paces behind, offering space but staying close enough to observe. This forest will be under her watch, after all.
- "Haven't known many earth magi these days. Well, I suppose Windsor would count. But we're here now and you've handled it well," she comments, watching as the vines handily create the hole needed. His smile is mirrored, albeit smaller and with far more wrinkles in her weathered face.
- "That sounds excellent, honestly. Where were you thinking to put it? Here to protect the sprout? Or closer to the settlement?"
- Logistics are always a concern. Best to discuss them here and now if possible.
- "I'll need time to get the old totems up. Then I suppose I'll have to get Thera out here for help with the egg itself."
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [15:52] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Cal. Evening."
- [15:52] Calael Kang says, "Evening, Miss Ohtli."
- [15:55] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "I hope you're well?"
- [15:58] Calael Kang says, "Oh yeah, just... tired."
- [15:59] Calael Kang says, "We have the little one running around now. Keeps me up a lot, haha.."
- [15:59] Calael rubs his eyes.
- (Calael Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [16:00] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Aha. I remember those days. Tiring, perhaps...but be sure to treasure those days too."
- [16:00] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "They will be gone sooner than you think."
- [16:01] Calael Kang says, "Yes I... am very grateful for the chance to start a family somewhere like this. Even if he's given me sleepless nights, I only want the best for my son."
- [16:02] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "I'm sure things will even out. You will get your sleep...Eventually. Ha."
- [16:03] Calael Kang says, "Once Sima decides -he- can sleep through the night as well, I guess."
- [16:04] Ohtli Tezcacoatl asks, "How old is he? Teething?"
- [16:04] Calael Kang asks, "You know when they're trying to take their first steps but just can't quite manage to balance?"
- [16:05] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Mhm. I do. Four times over."
- [16:05] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "You know, the trouble -really- starts when they can move around on their own."
- [16:05] Calael Kang says, "Oh I'm certain. I already have to ensure he doesn't crawl off into the grass to eat plants."
- [16:06] Ohtli Tezcacoatl says, "Pfah. The plants won't do him harm. Most of them, anyway."
- [16:06] Calael Kang says, "Probably not haha. Either way, can't leave him alone yet."
- [16:26] "If we put it here, it will have room to grow, right? If it is closer to the settlement and Academy, more people will be in it and around it constantly. And while they may be a good thing in some situations, I really think that you might prefer to not have hundreds of kids swarming and playing in the tree."
- With that, Noel moves to sit at the edge of the large hole, legs dangling over what seems to be a large pit.
- In one hand is the claw from the Moss Demon, still radiating the potent energy of nature that it always had.
- "And it's protector should grow with it."
- He drops the seed down, then the claw right after it.
- Soon after, the parted ground begins to seal itself, dirt moving to cover and seal what was once below.
- "Maybe a blessing from the tree's mother would be in order here, Ohtli? And hello, Calael."
- He works to water the planted seed with his own magic now that things had been said and done.
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [16:36] "It will, yes. And that's the idea. Close enough to the settlement to be safe. Far enough away to prevent...well, children from doing something amiss," she says with a soft chuckle.
- "Visitors won't be unwelcome, but swarms of them aren't ideal."
- She shuffles forward to supervise the burying of the gift of Asena, along with the thorn-hooked claw. Her head cants and her wings rustle as she ponders.
- The tree's mother. What a thought that is.
- The Elder meanders over and crouches over the freshly covered items and crouches down low, drawing out her knife. For great offerings to the spirits it's never been uncommon for her to give blood in great amounts.
- This time however she only dashes the old blade across her palm, dribbling a few dots of blood onto the soil. The individual droplets ripple, quiver, and sink down into the ground. A strangely warm wind passes through the leaves; new sprigs of grass rise from the disturbed dirt already, reaching up for the outstretched hand that still bleeds.
- "Ah...don't worry, little one," she croons softly.
- "You will be cared for. You will be given all you need. I swear it."
- Another oath in blood for the life to be grown here. A smile as warm as the breeze that passes through is given to Noel as she lifts her head.
- "And I have you to deeply thank for your help here."
- (Ohtli Tezcacoatl)
