≫ PERSONALITY: Miki is a very optimistic person most of the time and believes everyone is born good, and those who don’t seem good are simply misunderstood. This is a downfall in a way for her as she tends to think of people too highly and meaning when a person does something bad to her she denies it as much as possible. She always makes sure things are fair for others, even if it means it’s not fair to her because she’s selfless in the way that if everything is okay for others it seems okay to her. Some people however take this the wrong way as it could look like shes pitying others for no reason or that she believes she’s better and doesn’t need as much help. Even if others view her as selfless she always thinks she’s being selfish because miki believes that others deserve more than what they’ve got or more than her. She has a habit of agreeing with everyone in even if she doesn’t want to in order to start no arguments. However if what she believes in or her ideas are disrespected then she will fight for her respect. Miki is naturally very creative and open minded, being able to see all sides of any story and explain each one in amazing ways. Because of this she manages to have the ability to change peoples perspectives on thing and their opinions. Despite this, she has a slight tendency to overwork others and herself in order to achieve her goal. When she wants to achieve something she’ll stop at nothing to get it, even if it means skipping meals or events for it. This to others may just look like a lot of passion and energy, which she has a lot of. When she’s around the right people miki can be extremely energetic and playful however she can be slightly insensitive or say the wrong thing and come off as rude because of that. Surprisingly she’s quite private, reserved and self-conscious. This makes her really difficult to really get to know, and her need for these qualities contributes to the guilt she often feels for not giving more of herself to those she cares about. Due to her introverted tendencies and not sharing her feelings often, she gets called rude a lot since it can seem like she’s ignoring people even if she really isn’t. All in all Miki is a usually optimistic but maybe slightly too idealistic, selfless, caring, energetic but is also rather introverted and can come off as rude or disrespectful sometimes

≫ BACKGROUND:
Growing up she never had much friends, she was a very introverted kid and spoke to basically nobody except the teachers and her family. Her mother’s job meant she wasn’t home very often and she didn’t see her much however miki didn’t really notice and thought it was just normal. She became really close with her younger sister due to the fact her father wasn’t there much either so her grandmother took care of them often. Apart from being extremely quiet she had an average childhood that was mostly filled with studying because she thought she had nothing better to do. Because of her lack of friends and only hanging out with her grandmother and way younger sister she found ways to get her sister to sleep, one happened to be singing. Despite knowing she didn’t have the best voice in the world, miki really enjoyed singing and was encouraged by her grandmother to audition for a company and “become a star before she’s gone”. Her parents didn’t care too much however it involved moving an 11 year old from Chuncheon to Seoul which wasn’t easy. Luckily YG has space in the trainee dorms so her whole family didn’t have to move but it meant she was separated from her family before her childhood ended. Her training experience was lonely to her, despite getting friends and becoming more outgoing, she was so young and it was rare for her to see her family. The only person that seemed to understand her struggle was ‘KOKO BOP’ since they were the same age. Miki was originally a vocal trainee due to auditioning with singing however the more she trained the more she realised that she wouldn’t be a good enough vocal to debut in a good position. The trainers recommended rapping and even if it took awhile for her to get used to it she eventually realised that she was actually pretty good at it. Knowing she was doing the right thing made her training a bit better and enjoyable even if it was difficult.

≫ HOW DID THEY GET INTO YG?:
Miki actually got through by an online audition. She knew there probably wouldn’t be any public auditions and if there were, she would’ve been to afraid to go so she noticed that there were online auditions open and decided to audition. What’s surprising is that she actually sang bigbang’s ‘blue’ for the audition. Two weeks after she submitted the audition form she was informed after school that she was actually accepted and would start training the following month. A few weeks after that she packed anything she might’ve needed and her parents took her down to Seoul to start training.

≫ HOW DO THEY ACT ON VARIETY SHOWS?: it fully depends on her mood, she stays the same as her actual personality but becomes 10x more funny. She jokes around but tends to try and stay in the background and let the others take part.
