AGDQ 2017 - Recap

GDQ this year was a pretty unique one for me! Just gonna ramble for a bit I think.

This was my fourth games done quick event and I still think this hotel/venue is the best one. I've heard the horror stories of the venue pre-foodtrucks and arcade, but my first agdq was last year so it's been great. Arcade was fun: SDVX owns, windjammers is great, bishibashi is im bad at it, nibbler is im terrible at it. I think it's cool that the hotel gets so into the event as well, even if some of the stuff is a bit cheesy.

Mystery tournament was really really fun, shoutouts here:
Bony: For making mystery tournament exist, at all, and for spearheading the tournament/event. you rock!!!
Sent: Same as above and I'm sure also a million things I didn't know you did, you own dude
Games Committee: Actually accepting this, it was risky (I think???) but putting faith in the organizers and the runners was a very nice gesture. Cheers.
Tech Crew: This was no easy feat, thanks for tolerating the very strange requests and doing it well and quickly, you guys rock
TMR/DP/And4h: For being up there with me. It was my first time on a GDQ stage and I was pretty nervous but when we were up there acting like idiots with the bongos before it got set up it really helped a ton, thanks guys :) Also congrats And4h! You earned it dude.

Shoutouts to wine, even though we were dead from the night before it seemed like everyone had a great time.
Shoutouts to karaoke, mike uyama is a god and knows how to get a group loosened up to really start singing, which is a rare but very very important skill

Sorry if it seemed like I wasn't around as much this year. I'm not really one to get sappy on Twitter, but I had the incredible fortune to spend this week with someone new, and honestly it was so much better than I had any right to hope. The future is bright; I'm a very lucky guy. <3
