  13. [19:39] Kim frowns when realization strikes in. That's Sugarboy? Almost couldn't recognize him from the distance, and how starkly different he looks.

  17. [19:40] His gaze would rest on Kim and Hayashi. "More ghosts from my past. Hm." He'd say aloud to himself in the same tone as he spoke to them, not changing the volume.

  27. [19:43] Kim doesn't understand what's going on. Still, he thrusts an arm upward towards Sugarboy, beckoning the man from the distance.

  29. "People worry about you. Come back to Huangzhou with us." he says, before Zeriel decides to act like a damn monkey and jump his way there.

  36. [19:46] "It's been... a couple years since I last saw you, I think? Thought you simply retired-- but here we are."

The words are murmured outwards, and there'd a pause before he'd tilt his head over to the side-- no words escape, then, and only an icy explosion follow underneath his feet before the young magus is launched upwards. It's a mere flash, if anything-- just an icy blitz before his feet would touch the volcanic grounds underneath all the while.

  40. Shifting, he'd turn around, glancing in Sugarboy's direction now. Features remain blank, for most parts.

  42. "Where have you been, now? Did they assault you-- tried to convert? Should probably head back home with us...""

  48. [19:52] Zeriel only groans a tad, though he shifts his attention in Sugarboy's direction now. Not his job to meddle with whatever went down there.

  51. [19:57] Sugarboy would take a step back as Zeriel propelled himself up the cliffside. The pupil-less dull blue hues would dart towards the only path he knew as an exit before returning to the ice magi. He would raise his hands, as a sign of peace.

  53. "I have been well. From what I gathered, I was captured by vampires and held prisoner. Something would happen inbetween that would leave me nearly fatally wounded, something traumatic enough that I would lose my memories.. But I would be rescued and saved by Lady Wright.

  55. I would then spend my time in dawn, assisting wherever I could. Alchemists are sparse there, so I became quite recognizable, helpful, even. I have taken up teaching.

  64. [20:01] "Your concern is appreciated, but unnecessary. I have recovered some fragments... And they are leading me to someone. But I do not believe it leads me to Huanzhao." He would pause, wanting to offer atleast something to the boy who seemed to care for him.
  65. "I will be sure to return when I can." That said the boy would vaporize into a cloud of scalding steam, and flee.

  73. [20:04] "We're so close to their settlement-- I can't waste much time here. People have seen us, and there are probably reports. Scouts will be soon sent after... the longer I stay, the more risk I put myself, and my friends in."

  75. There's a pause, and he'd tilt his head over to the side now.

  77. "People worry about you. Your family worries about you-- everyone does. You used to be so cheerful and optimistic... and now, you meddle with mongrels of Azrael? In a faction with the taint of undeath? Come, we'll take you home, and we'll fix whatever they did to you."

  79. Were the only words that escape him before the ice magus slowly, slowly closes those eys. A single hand reaches out, grasping along his own staff all the while, and there's just a moment of pause before the eyelids drift open yet once again.

  81. Surely enough, there's a bright shine-- just the softest, icy hue embracing along his eyes all the while. Visual casting-- and it's evident by the way icy winds would soon shroud along his own form.

  83. "I can't waste much time trying to convince you, and put everyone at risk though. If you refuse to come, I'll simply have to use force in the moment. Please, listen."

  85. A brief glance is spared in the direction of crowd back there.

  90. [20:09] He'd only attempt to make the air a tad bit heavier, aiming to prevent Sugarboy from vaporizing and fleeing all the while.

  95. [20:14] Sugarboy could feel gravity intensify around him, the cloud moving only as fast as a walking past. Sugarboy could no longer maintain it by the time the ice magi caught up. He would reach for the staff on his back and point it at Zeriel. He held it firm, his hand would be still, as if he were a statue.

  97. "I do not wish to fight you, but I am not going to return to Huangzhao."

  103. The grip around his own staff tightens, and he'd only aim it in Sugarboy's direction. Head does tilt over to the side, and only then would Zeriel assume a proper stance.

  105. "I'll fix you-- even if I have to use force in the moment, I promise, it'll get better once we're back home."

  107. No other words escape, and he'd prepare to battle unless Sugarboy agrees to accompany him.

  111. [20:23] Sugarboy would grit his teeth with a scowl, something the boy had said clearly touched a nerve.

  113. "Fix me? The last 'friend' who tried to 'fix me' nearly burned me alive, and tried to corrupt my mind with their occultic flame!" his montotone voice would be accented with anger. His steely blue eyes would dull further with the escalation, into a gray.

  115. "I can tell you their name. You might even know them, if you don't, you can surely ask Angelo- or Eagleheart. The mad man who assaulted me while I was defensless was Epsilon, the blind fire magi." His voice now sounded hollow, and he would squat into a battle ready stance.

  119. [20:24] Zeriel Heifang says, "I'm not your last friend-- and I'm not Angelo, either."
  120. [20:24] Zeriel Heifang says, "But I won't waste words, for now."
  121. [20:32] Started out as overwhelmingly one-sided, to say the least-- though Sugarboy did manage to somewhat adjust by the end there. Not that it mattered, regardless-- the one to win was more than apparent since the start of it.

Eyes continue to glow just the softest of blues as Zeriel would practically zip across the volcanic lands underneath-- a snowy, icy blue trail of sharp wind is left in his wake, and a blows would shower Sugarboy from all the directions. Countless tornadoes of impactful winds, and typhoons of arcane waters embrace along, closing onto the older man's form-- from all the sides, limiting his movements, slamming into him.

  125. That, combined with the utter cold that'd run through his body, and the icicles that exploded from grounds underneath? Escape was impossible.

There'd be another flash of white, and he'd merely blitz behind Sugarboy's form all the while-- a single hand reaches out, palm planting itself against the blonde's back, before a gigantic wave of colder, pristine water explodes outwards, practically blasting Sugarboy a couple meters off in the moment.

  129. Leaving him somewhat unconscious-- or unable to move, at the very least.

  131. Not saying anything else in particular, he'd only waddle over to the fallen one, reaching out to idly hoist him over his own shoulders all the while. A brief glance is spared in Saomi's direction once she finally approaches, though.

  133. "I told you guys to leave without me... anyhow, I got him-- he's more or less uninjured, too. Let's head back."

  135. [20:35] He had just recently been refinding his power, and while it was powerful for an amateur, his reaction times were too slow as he was blasted with ice and water. His muscle would sinch and he'd be unable to move, however, he would still be fully conscious. Grey eyes scanning each face he saw as he was carried around.

  137. [20:38] Dirk exclaims, "Sugarboy!"
  138. [20:38] Bai Long says, "That's Sug."
  139. [20:38] Vee whispers something.
  140. [20:38] Dirk says, "Sugar..."

  142. [20:38] Hatsu Wvelven whispers something.
  143. [20:38] Zeriel Heifang asks, "Who knows him the best here?"
  144. [20:38] Dirk asks, "What are you doing back here?"
  145. [20:38] Bai Long says, "He gave us materials to start me off on my Alchemy."
  146. [20:38] Zeriel shifts a tad. Sugarboy is practically unconscious, flinged upon Zeriel's shoulder much like a sack of potatoes.

  150. [20:38] Dirk asks, "Is he a Prisoner, Zeriel?"
  151. [20:38] Hayashi Guren says, "I don't know him at all, I've just seen him around a few times."

  153. [20:39] Dirk says, "I do."
  154. [20:39] Hatsu Wvelven whispers something.
  155. [20:39] Hatsu Wvelven asks, "Why is he unconscious?"

  157. [20:39] Zeriel Heifang asks, "He's not injured-- we ran into him, and turns out he's suffering from... amnesia of sorts?"

  159. [20:40] Dirk says, "Zeriel... I think I know him best. As an investigator, would you be alright if I helped with this investigation>"
  160. [20:40] Zeriel Heifang says, "He mentioned that he lives in Dawn now. I beat him up a little, and dragged him back here."
  161. [20:40] Zeriel Heifang says, "I... just want to hand him over to someone competent-- who knows him well, too. Someone who can take care of him. "
  162. [20:40] Dirk says, "I'll do it."
  163. [20:40] Zeriel Heifang asks, "Will you, now?"
  164. [20:40] Dirk says, "Let me grab something."
  165. [20:41] Zeriel Heifang says, "Mmh."
  166. [20:41] Kim Yugao says, "He said competent, Dirk."
  167. [20:41] Dirk says, "Be back."
  168. [20:41] Zeriel Heifang says, "Harsh..."
  169. [20:41] Hatsu would also point toward Vee shortly after! "This lady here says that is her friend, and she seems responsible! She could look after him, if need be."

  171. [20:42] Zeriel Heifang asks, "I've not seen you before-- at least not much. Are you familiar with Sugar?"
  172. [20:42] Hatsu Wvelven says, "The one beside me, with the blue hair.."
  173. [20:42] Vee says, "I - yes. Friends."
  174. [20:42] Dirk says, "Yes, I am."
  175. [20:42] Vee says, "I think friends is safe to say."
  176. [20:42] Zeriel Heifang says, "Can I leave him to you guys? I don't want to put him in prison."
  177. [20:42] Hatsu Wvelven says, "Indeed."
  178. [20:42] Zeriel Heifang says, "He doesn't remember anything from his past, for whatever reasons."

  180. [20:43] Saomi asks, "Would that be really safe, Zeriel?"
  181. [20:43] Hatsu Wvelven says, "...Huh."
  182. [20:43] Zeriel Heifang says, "Treat him, fix him-- and make sure he doesn't run back to Dawn. "

  184. [20:43] Zeriel Heifang says, "Yeah, don't worry. They put him in restrains-- and he isn't really all that strong."
  185. [20:43] Zeriel Heifang says, "It'll be okay."
  186. [20:43] Dirk says, "That's precisely why I put the collar on."
  187. [20:43] Dirk says, "Let me take the kid."
  188. [20:43] Zeriel simply crouches downwards, plopping Sugarboy back onto the grounds underneath.

  191. [20:44] Dirk sighs at Zeriel's actions, picking up Sugarboy into his arms and over his shoulder. "You two, lead the way."

  193. [20:45] Hatsu would glance over at Vee, only to lightly nudge her arm in order to garner her attention. She would lead the way since this was her amnesiac friend, it seems! "Perhaps the clinic would be a good stop, to make sure he's not injured?" He suggests, in case Vee was too flustered by looking at her unconscious pal.

  197. [20:45] Dirk says, "Let's go."
  198. [20:45] Vee says, "I -"
  199. [20:45] Vee exclaims, "Okay! Clinic!"
  200. [20:47] Dirk gently places Sugarboy into the bed, the collar beeping. "You think he needs this?"
  201. (Dirk)
  202. [20:54] Dirk clears his throat, remembering his time in Dawn. "Since my bounty and the fact that I will not be returning to Dawn aside as an enemy... I feel like it's safe to reveal. I was a spy for the Tribunal for a short time, working in Dawn. While there, I ran into Sugarboy for a short while. He revealed that he had been saved by a prevalent family in Dawn who's name I cannot recall. He devoted himself to them, and could not remember me at all. This was about 2 years ago, I'm still not entirely sure what had happened since then. He's... either a thrall for the vampires or still human, but he is no longer the Sugarboy you remember."

  204. He plays with the remote in his hands, sighing and deactivating the collar to take it from him. "I bought this, but I have no use for it. If you'd like, I'll give you the collar and remote in case he tries to run or attack us, but pleasekeep a close eye on him. I am Dirk, by the way."

  207. [20:58] "I - I met him in Dawn, when I, uh."

  209. Vee doesn't look back, away from the side room that the four were occupying, but just motions to the rest of the floor behind her, signaling that there was just a tad too many people for her to be comfortable going into detail at full volume.

  211. " - We had some of the same problems, and we bonded, I guess. I never knew him before he was in Dawn. Was he... better than this?"

  213. She visibly cringes at her own choice of words. This was a situation she was utterly unprepared for.

  216. [21:02] Dawn.

  218. The name brings a gentle scowl to his face, if only due to the unsavory meeting he had with the various people there. They did not hesitate to bring harm upon himself and Daichi when they had accidentally wandered there. The memory was still fresh in his mind, but he sets aside his personal grudge as his eyes close and he sighs gently. Listening to Vee's brief story, he would eventually remove his gaze from her and focus on the collar-bound youth.

  220. "What I want to know is how he wound up like this, and what he was doing in Dawn. If he's indeed a thrall, he needs to be dealt with accordingly. Keeping the collar would be a necessity, and he'd have to be..cleansed by experts."

  222. He still doesn't know what that means, but he could discern that Vee was clearly disturbed. Unfortunately, he couldn't figure out a way to comfort her, and instead he just stares at the unconscious man.

  228. [21:04] Dirk nods to the two and puts the collar back on to Sugarboy, putting the remote into Vee's hands. "He was a good person before Dawn. I trust you can take care of him. I'm going to see what has happened with Lady Igleta. I trust you can take care of this man?"

  232. [21:05] Dirk says, "Take care."

  236. The word Hatsu said flickered into her mind, echoing. Thrall.

  238. Vee skips over it, looking over the remote in her hand instead. It wasn't familiar to her, but it... certainly looked complicated, like something that should fly wildly over her head.

  240. "Neither of us remembered anything, and I guess he had a similar situation to me. I don't know this conflict, I don't know Huangzhou or Dawn or anywhere, I just... was there, and they didn't kill me."

  242. It's unclear whether she's speaking for Sugarboy, herself, to Hatsu, or what.

  244. "...I don't know. I want to help people. Him included. I just need to know the best way to do that."

  247. [21:15] The pale boy would lie motionlessly in bed. Not even the occasional stir of an unconscious person would do. His breathing would be shallow, before he would inhale sharply. His eyes would open to show that they were gray and pupil-less. His gaze would sporadically scan the room around him, his head not even moving.

  249. They would stop on the teen with a sword, and then jump over to a girl he recognized. Suddenly his grey hues would develop some color to them, a steel blue.

  251. "Vee?" He would sit up straight out of bed, he would turn and take note of the architecture and lanterns. "... This is a Huangzhao clinic.. I take it your memories led you here?"

  254. [21:18] Hatsu remains vigilant in the face of the prospect that this young man could indeed be a Thrall. He seems to slightly jolt when he awakens, perhaps due to the fact that he had not expected a quick recovery from whatever had left him in that state! His eyes drift toward the youth's exposed flesh, surveying it with a small frown as he tries to discern if there were any oddities about him. He certainly was pale, but that was not much to go off of, in the grand scheme of things.

  256. "You're awake, now. My name is Hatsu Lee, and you seem to know Vee. Could you answer a few questions before you proceed to a reunion? You came here unconscious, and I was hoping to figure out how and why."

  258. He got straight to the point, at least. He does offer the young man a glass of chilled water, as well.

  263. Vee sits herself down on the floor, with her back against the wall. This had spun so far off-course, and already had so many twists and turns, she'd lost track of everything.

  265. Her head hangs in her hands, as she softly rubbed her knuckles against her temples, speaking towards Hatsu with a frown.

  267. "This. This is too much for me, right now. Too fast. Can you ask the questions to him, whenever I don't have to?"

  271. [21:23] Hatsu nods, gently frowning as he stares down at the exasperated young lady.

  275. [21:31] Sugarboy would frown, seeing the state Vee was in, he found her in a completely different culture with very different laws. He understood that it was overwhelming, and turn to Hatsu.

  277. "Hello Hatsu, my name is Sugarboy. I was on the volcano trying to collect amber when I saw a youth being assaulted by a Huangzhao official. I stopped to investigate, the youth had a broken nose, but I believe it will result in permanent scarring. However, a couple more Huang scouts emerged from a cave, two of which recognized me.

  279. One of them would try to convince me to return. I told them I was busy and tried to leave. He would pursue me saying he would not allow me to return to Dawn. I would try to avoid a confrontation, but he would not allow me. It came to blows and well- oh. My magic is gone again. Bothersome." He would answer compliantly, trying to call forth a small ball of water in his hands, but finds that it doesn't appear. Suddenly he realizes the weight around his neck, it was familiar to him, another magical restraint.

  282. [21:36] The white-haired youth attempts to not groan out loud at the prospect of having to deal with a report of this information. From what he had gathered from the story itself, it would appear Sugar was indeed a denizen of Dawn, and had been properly apprehended after he had attempted to interrupt an altercation. They had wound up battling shortly after, and the results..

  284. Well, that's how he wound up in Huangzhou! Based on the information provided, it sounded to Hatsu that it was likely a case of this individual being under the influence of the Vampires. This was a baseless assumption at the moment, but he could not fathom why people would wish to reside in such a dark, carnage-filled place such as Dawn.

  286. "I see, so you were taken here against your will. But at the same time, you lived in Dawn, which would certainly complicate the situation. I believe an official would need to be brought here to discern the proper course of action. They wanted to avoid putting you in jail, though, so that might be a good sign. Do you have an estimate on when you believe you acquired amnesia?"

  290. [21:37] Vee asks, "...Why here? Why Dawn? Why. Anywhere?"
  291. [21:37] Hatsu Wvelven asks, "What do you mean, Vee?"
  292. [21:37] Vee says, "I don't know what I mean. My head is spinning."
  293. [21:37] Sugarboy says, "Dawn and Huang are much like Dark and Light. Each capitals of the other."
  294. [21:38] Sugarboy says, "They have never gotten along, as far as I have read."
  295. [21:38] Hatsu Wvelven says, "I'm not saying this place is the greatest city known to man, but Dawn is notorious for dangerous people, and their willinngness to harm outsiders. I can not speak for the outside view of this city, but I've experienced Dawn first-hand."
  296. [21:39] Sugarboy says, "I could say the same for Huang, of willingness to attack outsiders."
  297. [21:39] Sugarboy says, "But I am not going to delve into Politics."
  298. [21:39] Hatsu Wvelven says, "That would be a valid argument. Either way, I am not the deciding factor on your fate."
  299. [21:39] Vee exclaims, "I don't know any of the politics!"
  300. [21:39] Vee says, "I don't know these places."
  301. [21:39] Vee says, "I just know some of their people."
  302. [21:39] Ume Kimyona asks, "H..huh?"
  303. [21:40] Hatsu glances over at Vee, curiously studying the distressed lass. "And what is your opinion of them?"

  305. [21:40] Vee says, "I - I don't know."
  306. [21:40] Vee says, "I don't think I've met anyone I dislike."
  307. [21:41] Vee says, "...Maybe Julian. Maybe..."
  308. [21:41] Hatsu Wvelven says, "I wonder if you're capable of disliking people."
  309. [21:41] Sugarboy says, "I lost my memory about... Over two year ago? I have been informed I was captured by vampires. Something traumatic would happen, and I would be left fatally wounded, only to be rescued by Lady Wight. She would save my life, and in return, I served her house and the people of dawn."
  310. [21:42] Hatsu Wvelven says, "I am sorry you had to suffer by the hands of Vampires, but I would definitely need to involve an Official, if that is the case."
  311. [21:42] Sugarboy says, "Do what you must."
  312. [21:42] Vee whispers something.
  313. [21:42] Hatsu Wvelven says, "This isn't a decision to be made by me, you see! So we'll need to find an Official or someone of higher rank than myself to decide on that."
  314. [21:42] Sugarboy says, "If I can request one, bring me Eagleheart."
  315. [21:42] Saomi says, "Speaking of which, we have an officer present right now."

  337. [21:45] A gesture of his hand is given toward Sugar, only to recline against the wall as he appears relieved. Placing someone elses fate in his hands did not set well with him, in the least. He was too inexperienced, a bit on the younger side, and he held a lot of empathy toward others despite himself. He was not a battle-hardened warrior, but he was accumulating experience and had his fair share of horrific, traumatic events.

He seems to have made a fair enough recovery to stay in there. We'll have a Qilin judge him. If it were up to me... I'd release him. Unfortunately, only the Qilin are allowed to make those choices. Not even Eagleheart could do that." He crosses his arms. "For now, the Prison. I'll get a Qilin to head in there and make the final choices. Come along, Sugarboy."

He holds his hand out for the remote. "I'd like to unlock his restraints."

  380. [21:54] Hatsu stares at Vee with a raised eyebrow, but he would reluctantly take the remote if it was offered. He had little idea how to actually use it, since this was his first time holding such a device. Even so, he was an intelligent young man, and would look into it at a later time. Or just face-roll the buttons and hoped one of them worked.

His heart would begin to race, he came to recognize that sensation as the incoming of a trigger. He would step forward onto the bench and stand there idly for a moment, his hand would reach up to clutch at his chest.

  451. [22:06] One hand rises, two fingers batting against his forehead and waving at Hatsu in a rather untrained salute. He was a man that embodied a lot of aspects of war and combat, but certainly, his posture and demeanor weren't part of these.

  453. And then, one hand raised towards Sugarboy, blind irises still staring forward aimlessly. "I'm glad to see you again, Sugarboy. What brings you here?" He asked, calmness taking over his voice -- Although certainly there was some concern hidden underneath.

Half-lidded golden hues settled on the three, then, lingered on Sugarboy. Someone she hadn't seen for quite some time. If the reports were right... well, he wouldn't recognize her, not that they'd spoken much.

He would turn to look at him, his dull blue eyes scanning the two people from the ground up, slowly noting their armor, equipment and posture. It would take a couple of seconds before he would respond.

But to answer your question, I am not entirely here of my own accord. But I can promise you that I will be of no trouble." His voice was dull and dispassionate.

Eagleheart and Koume would notice that Sugarboy had paled greatly since they last saw him, they would spy a scar that spanned across his collar bone, and down the center of his torso through the opening in his loose shirt, reminiscent of a dissected frog, but someone was kind enough to atleast put him back together. His posture was more stiff, nothing like the relaxed demeanor he had before.

  484. [22:18] Certainly, he would notice all that if he could see. Could he see? No. So, more than anything, he only noticed the dullness on his voice and posture than anything else. The soothing chime resonated on the surrounding ambient, a soft breeze, unlike any sort of wind and more akin to a very soft pressure against their skin, ran over the trio in front of him.

She figured Eagleheart's question could be answered if her asked one of the other two. Perhaps they brought Sugarboy in, from the woods. Maybe he'd wandered in on his own and they just saw him.

A glance toward Vee is offered as she quietly speaks toward him, offering an uncharacteristically solemn nod of his head.

  680. "I was told we were friends, before, Angelo. By a mutual acquaintance of ours. Epsilon had told me you two had talked." There would be a pause as he chose his next words very carefully. Even mentioning Epsilon's name caused his eyes to lose their color, becoming gray.

  687. [23:12] "Concerned with Epsilon..." He spoke, quirking up an eyebrow. It seemed that the phrase by itself was enough to bring concern to his voice, even if it was almost impossible to make out from the utter calmness that he continued speaking.

  689. But that simple, slight frown that nearly appeared on his face was enough to raise concern to anyone that had talked with him for long periods before. "Why?" He couldn't help but question.

  717. [23:24] Sugarboy's dull gaze, while not seemingly focused on anything, pick up the slight movement. He had developed quite the observant eye during his time. He would continue, his voice now sounding hollow rather than the monotone it had before when his eyes were blue.

  719. "He is corrupted of the mind. You may not have picked up on it, for he is quite tricky, hiding behind the guise of frailty and a calm smile. However, I can assure you that he is not sound of mind."

  721. Sugarboy would raise an arm, allowing his sleeve to fall off, revealing purple burns from an occult flame.

  723. "After talking with you, he would return to me and try to 'fix me'. He asked me what the first gift he gave me was. Having no memories, and my knowledge of him being a fire mage, I deduced it was perhaps the fire rune branded on the back of my neck.

  725. He would say that I was close, but infact the first thing he gave me was a lesson. A lesson in /pain/. He would then try to 'fix' me by reeducating me with his fire. Keep in mind, at this point I was wearing a magic restraint and was unable to defend myself.

  727. He seemed all too happy to harm someone he claimed as a friend, as he would laugh maniacally. Unfortunately, I would inform him half way through the assault that I was incapable of feeling such a sensation, and that would only cause him to be more vicious.

  729. When I had sustained too many injuries to stand, he would then try to channel his corruption into my mind in an attempt to fish a memory out." His empty voice was not quite enough emphasis on the words he wanted, so he would lean forward slightly to emphasize his point. However, some emotion breaks through when he says 'Fix', and it is nothing but anger as he almost snarls the word.

  734. [23:30] All the while, Vee had seen the conversation between Eagleheart and Sugarboy as something past her, over her head. She leaned towards Hatsu, alternating between proper whispers and a tone closer to a mumble, but still listened to Sugarboy.

  736. When he broke into that dead, grey, monotone rant, reciting his history, she cracked - although, it was delayed. A solid two seconds after he'd finished, she opened her mouth to say something, some word of support or sympathy, but all that she managed to make was...

[23:33] Hatsu kept his arms folded along his chest, a gentle frown present as he watches the exchange between his..Well, it was hard to say what Sugar was, but he was charged with keeping an eye on him, for the moment. The monotone recollection was certainly on the depressing side, and the energetic youth felt his enthusiasm slipping away as his eyes close.

  747. "Talk about a mood-kill- *Cough* It would appear that he's been through quite a bit. Does this not jog any of your memories?" He inquires, leaning toward Vee as he spoke quietly.

  757. "I might not be. I'm a bit... Well, I might be going insane due to that. But well..." He said, before shaking his head from side to side. And then, he turns again towards Sugarboy, with a wide smile.

  780. [23:39] Taro exits the Shogun's abode with a hilarious amount of pancakes all stacked on a single plate. It is SO large, in fact, that he can hardly see anything directly ahead of him.

  782. The ninja walks over to stand beside Eagleheart and Sugarboy, Vee and Hatsu both eclipsed by the man's late night snack for the time being.

  784. "SB! Glad to see you. All is well, I hope?"

  786. He lingers around for a few moments, glancing between the two of them. For a moment he considers heading north, but the intimidating lineup of Yukiko, Hidatsu, and Kim make him second guess himself.

  788. Somehow, Hatsu is still not seen.

  792. [23:41] Hidatsu immediately sniffed those pancakes and a soft blush came over to their face along a mischievous smirk over the samurai.

  794. "All will be well when you invite us to eat those, Full Taro!" the doctor said as they placed both hands behind their back, shifting their weight from heels to toes back and forth. Though it absolutely looked they could get some rest after the entirety of the surgical night they had.

  796. "Mm, I hope you remain entire altogether Master Eagleheart, if you're not I'm going to miss the theft attempt over those pancakes." shamelessly they said, moving a hand to point over to the plate Taro was holding.

  798. "-But are you alright, Suggy?"

  802. [23:42] Taro Wvelven says, "<My cakes..>"
  803. [23:42] Hatsu releases a low sigh of relief as he realizes Hatsu's precious stack of pancakes had blinded the ninja to his stealth. He slowly shifts from behind Vee, standing tall beside her once more. With his arms fold along his chest, he would do his best to remain natural.

  805. "Mister Taro took me in when I was just bumming on the streets. I tried pick-pocketing him, but I wound up feeling guilty. Now I don't get paid at all, and wonder if I actually made progress in a profession. Maybe I should learn a trade from someone.." He explains to Vee, partially musing to himself near the end.

  809. [23:44] Sugarboy's pupil-less gray eyes would sift through the forming crowd, he would hear his name spoken, but they were just more ghosts from his past he couldn't recall.

  811. Something about what Angelo had said stirred something inside him. 'I would never allow any harm to come to you, Sugarboy' would echo through his mind, as if he were some damsel in distress. It fell into the same category in his mind as people who wanted to 'fix' him, or when Epsilon had called him a Broken toy. It was not quite as unnerving as the latter two, but it was a red flag.

  813. His blank expression would not lend itself to this, as he would simply nod, "I appreciate the sentiment, Angelo." He would look over to Taro and Hida, "I am doing well enough."

  817. [23:45] Vee says, "I. Fell into the middle of something big, and then stumbled along into several more big things, all in a row, and I'm - I can't do this much. In one day."

  842. The plate is given to a single hand as he slowly shuffles by, offering Xian and Yotanwa a weak smile on his way. He stops to hear her response, and turns back to glance over his shoulder in the meanwhile.

  844. "As for you, Hatsu. Your punishment has ended. Feel free to take your friend to the Inn tonight if she needs a place to stay. I'll cover the tab with Genner myself."

  858. [23:55] Sugarboy would listen to Hatsu off to the side, not turning his head. He said a couple of things that interested him. Firstly the way he mocked fate, something about it amused him. Secondly was rolling with the punches, it resonated with him, but something was off about the phrasing. He would shirk the thoughts off as he'd look back to Angelo, "So am I permitted to leave, or am I going to be asked to stay?"

  866. [23:55] Hidatsu faked a furrow of their brows, puffing their cheeks and standing on their toes to lean against Taro's shoulder and stare at the samurai with a literal feigned anger that would fool absolutely no one.

  868. "Mm...MM!! My smile is saved...For now..." they said literally squinting at the man, but eventually opening up into a brief chuckle as they stood normally once more besides Taro and Yuki.

  878. [23:56] Eagleheart says, "Because it is a line of thought that makes no sense, and often leads people to a road that takes them too far."

  886. [00:04] Sugarboy would take a moment to ponder, not just the question, but the situation as a whole. It seemed as if he had an actual way out, but his thought process would quickly shift to Angelo's question. His stare would move over to the bench that had drawn him over here, giving him a complete memory that he only had a piece of. How many more could he find in Huanzhao? Something was compelling him to return to Dawn, he felt as if something would come about staying there. He told Zeriel that his memories did not push him towards Huangzhao, and he still felt it was mostly true... But that bench.

  892. [00:06] The response given by Sugarboy was one that would likely be met with a small frown from Hatsu. It would appear that the young man had been stationed within Huangzhou, at least long enough to acquire memories that remained scattered about the area. Even so, this 'Sugarboy' would be intent upon returning back to Dawn, which would have essentially made the process of returning him here moot.

  894. A glance is given between Eagleheart and Sugarboy, only to eventually fall upon Vee as if to silently inquire what her thoughts on the conversation were. He was not wholly engrossed as he had been earlier, but the decision made was ultimately up to the physician in question.

  898. [00:07] Eagleheart asks, "Of course... May I ask for you to return, eventually?"
  899. [00:09] Vee meets Hatsu's glance, and takes an unsteady step forward, swallowing. She folds both of her hands together and tries to find her voice.

  901. "I - I feel the same way, sort of. I just want to help people, but I think the best way - for me - is to travel, only stopping for rest."

  903. She takes a look towards Eagleheart, silently studying his expression for any reaction to her.

  905. "...That might not be the same for you, though. Maybe you are best in Dawn. I don't know."

  909. [00:10] Some color return to Sugarboy's eyes, and he would nod, a small smile would creep across his face. "You would not need to. I already planned on returning once I was content enough to leave Dawn. I said this to Zeriel, but he insisted quite forcefully."
