  1. Never would I have thought that a portion of my name would be recognized around the world. The “Bergenbuild”, a play on words used to describe a community. One based around online computer games and internet forums, and the idea that such a clique should be self-regulating. This small group of like-minded people consumed a sizable portion of my younger years. Growing into an even larger assembly of close friends with the goal of having a place to congregate without issue. Eventually leading into a conglomerate of various forms of digital media, I would have to consider this one of my greatest achievements, especially when I take into account the number of people that have been affected as a result.
  2. Beginning with a variety of online computer games and their players, we were brought together by mere chance. Sifting through the thousands of otherwise useless opponents, a small number of players managed to include me in their pre-existing community. Years passed with my newly acquired friends, despite the distance these people were some of the greatest companions I have had during my youth. Only to be further strengthened by the addition of my lifelong friends. Unfortunately there were complications, as the select few who governed said community did so in ways we found unfair. A portion of ourselves believed that the very members where what made the populous meaningful. Not so much those which provide the virtual domain in which we reside. Plans had begun to branch apart into a new group.
  3. Over a period of a few days the number of daily users began dwindling, we had begun migrating to a new series of servers and domain names. In addition we had agreed to share the financial burden in an attempt to keep everyone at the same level. Those which paid for a larger portion of the bill did so on their own merit. Without feeling the need to broadcast it to others, we once again felt like a group a friends who's only interest was the continued ability to enjoy our interests with eachother. Without having to worry about petty issues, our alliance had quickly started picking up speed. We had covered a much broader audience, multiple games were added to our library, multiple game servers were now running constantly thus recruiting more like-minded people. Some had begun taking an interest in programming and game design. One had even used their skills gained to pursue an interest in engineering, and mechanics. From this point on it was no longer based soley around video games.
