You must not use xylometazoline if you have taken a medicine for depression.

  3. If you have an allergy to xylometazoline or any part of xylometazoline.
  4. If you are allergic to any drugs like this one, any other drugs, foods, or other substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had, like rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
  5. If you will be having certain types of surgery, such as surgery to remove your pituitary gland.
  6. If you have narrow-angle glaucoma.
  7. If you have a certain nose problem called rhinitis sicca.
  8. If you have a certain nose problem called atrophic rhinitis.
  9. If you are using another drug like this one. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
  10. If you have taken certain drugs for depression or Parkinson's disease in the last 14 days. This includes isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, selegiline, or rasagiline. Very high blood pressure may happen.
  11. If you are pregnant or may be pregnant. Do not use xylometazoline if you are pregnant.
