  1. On the walk over to the school I discovered an open manhole. Usually this sort of thing wouldn't catch my attention, but as I turned away from it I heard a blood curdling scream. Thinking perhaps I could play the role of a hero, I dove into the manhole. This was not the best idea, seeing as how I cannot swim and the sewage water was somewhere between 10-15 feet deep. I was choking on shit water and piss for about 2 minutes trying to flail my arms in such a way that would keep me afloat, until finally I hit the end of the section of the tunnel, it split into two however and where it split in the middle there was a metal grate. I clung onto it, and was able to pry it open, it was so rusted from all the pisswater. I climbed inside, drenched with sewer water. I stood up. Took a wiff of, what at the time was supposed to be fresh air as opposed to water flooding my lungs, and smelled probably the worst smell you could possibly fathom. And threw up. Everywhere. You couldn't really tell because of all the sewage water in this smaller tunnel, the water only up to my ankles. I realized in the middle of my chunk-blowing process and that the smell was me. Well anyways I carried on through the tunnel, caring not about the scream but finding my way home. Than almost on cue from my thoughts, I heard the scream again, louder this time, coming from ahead. Pure luck, I thought to myself. I ran ahead, hoping to find the source of the agonized scream. I saw darkness up ahead, through an open door-way. I burst into it, on foot in front of the last one, again, and as I put the next one forward I felt nothing. I instinctively jumped back with my other foot, landing hard on my backside. I let my eyes focus to the darkness, not so dark now. I saw that there was nothing in front of me, but a large open space. I looked below and saw rushing water. Surprisingly it was clear water. What I wouldn't have given to have swam freely within the crystal water, clean. This was not to be. I looked up ahead across the open space to see another part of this chamber exact to the one I stood upon. A ledge, and 5 feet from said ledge a doorway. This doorway was dark, and I could not see beyond. Knowing the fall into the water would be fatal, and that my last encounter with deep water ended with survival only out of pure luck, I tried to find a way across. Jumping was impossible as the open space stretched a good 50 feet. I can jump pretty far but certainly not this far. I remembered something I saw in a movie, and looked on the far side of the open space, all the way over. I couldn't see a thing, so I walked over to where I'm referring. Sure enough it was there. A ledge out from the wall, only 3 inches at the most. My heart was pounding, my brain was surging, and I had to piss. No time for that now. I decided it was now or never. Now sounded better, I wanted out of these shitty clothes, no pun intended. So I took my first step. And my second. And third. And to be honest Hollywood is full of shit. Thew ledge didn't crumble beneath me, I didn't fall and catch the side. I just simply inched across. Inched across fifty feet. It took a while but I was there on the other side. Whew. I step through the doorway, and this time I let my eyes focus to the darkness. A little brighter in here, not that you could tell before you step in, but brighter nonetheless. I take a step forward and feel something slimy underneath me. I look down and see a dark trail. It's dark, it's moist, but I'm not sure what it is. Still covered in god knows what and not caring about any new scents, I lean down and dip my fingers into it. I sniff. Bad idea, because my hands still smell like god knows what. I threw up a little more, and still don't know what the liquid is. I figure it might be blood so I follow it, as if with choice down a one way corridor. A little down the ways I spot light flickering at the end, but this light is bouncing off a wall. A turn in the tunnel. I start creeping closer, just in case someone awaits me at the end of the would-be-blood trail. At the corner I hold my breathe and slowly look around. A room. I breathe. Oh a room. From what I can see, there are torches lining the walls, and a table in the middle of the room. I creep closer, and closer, and hold my breathe once more.I peak my head in. Empty. I breathe, and step inside. I see no one, and hope that no one sees me. Along the walls are torches, two to each wall to the left and to the right. In front of me is a door, closed, a torch on either side. Behind me the way I came, also lit by two torches on either side. On the floor my theory is strengthened. the liquid is heavy, dark, red. It leads to the door from the darkness behind me. I had come this far. There was no way back. And I needed to shower. So without any further delay I opened the door, expected to be shot, stabbed, tackled, beaten. Nothing. Just a hallways. Torchlit.
  2. Blood on the ground. Such a long trail. Whoever it belonged too is probably dead by now, and the screaming stopped. I'm sure that I was too late, if I ever had a chance in the first place. With my newfound realization, I decided it was time to go home. I'm sick of doors. And yet another one is in my way at the end of this hallway. I opened it. And up above. light shown in through a grate. In front of me a ladder. I climb, I climb. The grate in my way and I push it open. I climb through. Where am I? Looks like a building. It took me a second to figure it out. Looked like a ruined house. I looked around and only 3 feet from me, a dead body. I puke again. Hopefully for the last time. Looks like I was too late after all. Where was the killer? I'm not sure. Where was I? Apparently down the street from my house. I stepped out of what used to be a doorway on this ruined house and found I was three streets over. I walk to my house. flipping off those who stare. They had reason of course. But I didn't care. I walk into my house. I shower, change, walk to school. Ignore the manhole, get into school, signed in, came here, and that's my story. That's why I'm late. Can I use your phone by the way I should probably call the cops..
