  12. Though psychic powers are more common among your bretheren than with other chapters,
  13. few are truly immune to outside influence. Whether from xeno mind-clouding or the taint of the Warp,
  14. one of your brothers fell from the Emperor's grace and became a puppet for dark forces. You fired the final bolt-shell,
  15. and in doing so delivered him from his unwitting sin.

  19. A comparative newcomer to the Chapter Librarium, Arkias still has not fully embraced the caution and analytic approach
  20. that defines the Blood Ravens approach to war. Contemptuous of those too weak to choose the correct path and who turn to
  21. heresy, Arkias often shows a worrying audacity and willigness to gamble, something that would doubtless have led to
  22. censure or even dishonour had not many of those risks been justified in hindsight. It is hoped that his time in the
  23. Deathwatch will either teach him the value of a more cautious approach or reign his more problematic traits in, in
  24. addition to removing a reminder of the fall of a well respected Raven.

  26. Young for a Marine, Arkias is gaunt and dark-haired, hair shaved away around the implants connecting him to his psychic
  27. hood. His gaze seems to always linger for a moment longer than would be expected. There are jagged scars across his
  28. temple, reminders of the death of the Battle-Brother Arkias had been forced to put down shortly before his secondment.

  30. Arkias is strongly (some would say worryingly) gifted in the ways of the Warp for one newly trained, something that did
  31. not go unnoticed by the officers of the Blood Ravens Librarium. They nurtured his burgeoning talent while keeping a
  32. cautious eye on his actions and demeanour. The Chapter's history (To say nothing of the Imperium at large) is littered
  33. with the names of psykers who delved too fast and too deep into their potential, after all...

  35. For all his willingess to gamble, Arkias is still a Blood Ravens librarian, and recognizes well the value of accurate
  36. intelligence and ritual augury. Indeed, the Lexicanium often engages in a reading of the Tarot prior to missions with his
  37. Killteam, the ritual serving as both forewarning and prayer. He is a firm believer in the tenets of his Chapter cult,
  38. and venerates both the Emperor as the Lord of Man and the Unknown Primarch as one of His sons and the lesser father of
  39. the Ravens.
