Any% (Standard) Speedrun Detailed Notes

These notes are running under the assumption that the reader knows where some of the chests are, as well as have a very basic understanding of the route. If there is something unclear (i.e., a chest location), I recommend watching the world record vod, which can be found here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/398333364

Dive to the Heart
	- Pick the Sword, drop the Shield
	- Dawn route (pick top options when talking to Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka)
Destiny Islands
	- Darkside 2: The general goal of the strat is to deflect orbs into Darkside 2's arm with your air combos. The general timing is to
				  do 2 hits, then a full air combo, but the timing is pretty tight. I recommend watching a video to see how the fight
				  looks.
Traverse Town 1
	- Kill 5 Shadows, run to the Accessory Shop, leave. Shadows take 1 full air combo to kill
	- Leon: Combo him into the corner and kill him.
	- Grab the Green Room Elixir. Talk to Yuffie, open the chest, talk to Leon
	- Menu (Before Guard Armor (OPTIONAL))
		- Equip the Hi-Potions (ハイポーション) you got from Destiny Islands
	- Don't kill any Soldiers on the way to Guard Armor
	- Pre-Guard Armor Fight: Soldiers take 6 hits to kill
	- Guard Armor: basically the same as beginner, except it takes longer lol
	- Menu (before leaving Traverse Town 1)
		- Exchange Goofy's Ether with Sora
		- Equip Brave Warrior (スピルブレイヴ) on Sora
		- Equip Dodge Roll (ドッジロール) on Sora
	- Do the clip stuff if you're on English
Gummi Menu
	- Delete all the Gummi Pieces, equip an Engine (required) and a gun (optional)
Wonderland
	- Despawn the Heartless before grabbing the evidence rather than fighting them. Take a look at World Record vod to see how this is
	  done
	- Try to pick the Heartless box before Crank Tower (pick the first box that lands)
	- Trickmaster
		- Fight sucks. Good luck
Deep Jungle
	- Die to Sabor 1
	- Menu (After Sabor 1)
		- Unequip the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Abilities for Tarzan. Equip both of his Critical Pluses (クリティカルアップ)
	- Touch the Save Point before jumping down into Jungle Slider
	- Grab the Mythril Shard in the Tent
	- Save Warp as normal
	- After Save Warping after first Powerwilds fight, put Tarzan in your party over Goofy
	- Sabor 2
		- Similar to Sabor 1. Try to get Sabor staggered into a corner and go ham with ground combos
	- Menu (after Sabor 2)
		- Equip White Fang (ホワイトファング) on Sora
	- Clayton
		- Go for animation skip. In general, you want to do a similar strat to beginner, where you focus on not doing finishers.
		  However, if you can finisher Clayton into a corner and he won't fly away, go for it, because finishers do a lot of damage
		  here.
	- Waterfall Cavern
		- Grab the 2 chests that the World Record vod grabs. We use them to sell later on for Gummi pieces
Fly back to Traverse Town
	- Do Traverse Town 2 as you normally do. When you sell stuff to Cid, sell everything except for the Elixir (エリクサー)
Agrabah
	- Touch the save point in Aladdin's House after talking to the Carpet
	- Grab the Megalixir chest near the exit
	- Use Simba on Saving Aladdin
	- After Save Warping into Aladdin's House after Saving Aladdin, swap Aladdin into your party over Donald
	- Menu (After Saving Aladdin)
		- Stock Aladdin's Ethers (エーテル)
		- Equip Scan (ライブラ) on Sora
		- Unequip Sandstorm(ストームリーパー), equip Critical Plus (クリティカルアップ) on Aladdin
	- Pot Centipede
		- Fight sucks. Good luck. If you can Blizzard his ass and his head at the same time, go for it.
	- Tiger Head
		- Split damage strat, take a look at WR vod
	- Grab Elixir before Jafar (bit of a tricky jump, I recommend practicing this before you do your first run)
	- Jafar 1
		- Start the fight as usual, but before he flies away, try to get his health to a little bit under 1 bar. If you overdamage, you
		  won't be able to get 2 cycle
		- Dodge Roll to the back of the middle of the room to force Jafar to fly to middle platform. Do the opening of the fight again,
		  go ham and pray Aladdin goes all ham no cheese
		- This is a really hard fight, don't worry if you're not getting 2 cycle. If you don't get 2 cycle, make sure you dodge roll to
		  the back of the middle of the room to keep forcing Jafar to the middle platform, or you're going to have a bad time.
	- Jafar 2
		- Beginner strat
	- Menu (before leaving Agrabah)
		Equip Three Wishes (デザイアーランプ)
Monstro
	- Parasite Cage 1
		- Same as Beginner, but takes longer
	- Menu (after getting High Jump)
		- Equip Combo Plus (コンボプラス ), Counterattack (カウンター), and Slapshot (スラップショット) on Sora
		- Equip High Jump
	- Parasite Cage 2
		- See also: Parasite Cage 1
WARP TO TRAVERSE TOWN AFTER MONSTRO SPITS YOU OUT
Warp into the Accessory Shop, go to Geppetto's House, and grab Wishing Star
	- Menu (after getting Wishing Star)
		- Equip Wishing Star (ウィッシュスター)
		- Equip Ray of Light (オーバーレイ) over Brave Warrior (スピルブレイヴ) on Sora
Warp to Monstro, grab Watergleam, go to Halloween Town
Halloween Town
	- Grab Power Up
	- Menu (after getting Jack)
		- Stock all of Jack's Ethers (エーテル)
		- Use the Power Up (パワーアップ) on Sora
		- Equip all Ethers (エーテル) on Sora (should be 4)
	- Graveyard 1
		- Same as Beginner. Shadows take 3 Blizzards to kill. Ghosts take 2, Wight Knights take 5
		- Pop an Ether afterwards
	- Graveyard 2
		- If you get Wight Knights, kill the first Wight Knight with physical hits, then use fire to kill the other 2. Takes 4 Fires.
		  Continue as normal
	- Moonlight Hill
		- Same as Beginner
	- Menu (before starting Manor climb)
		- Equip Equip Brave Warrior (スピルブレイヴ) over Ray of Light (オーバーレイ)
	- Lock, Shock, Barrel
		- Spam ground combos. They'll do a lot of damage because of Slapshot + Wishing Star. I also opt to use Stop to make Lock calm
		  down for a little bit
	- Oogie 1
		- Kill the Heartless, make sure to trap Oogie without Donald and Goofy.
		- The first time you trap him, you want to do 2 full ground combos, then 2 Slapshots.
		- Attempt dice reflect. The second time you trap him, you want to do 2 air hits, then Slapshots for the next 8 hits.
		- Attempt dice reflect. The third time you trap him, you want to only do Slapshots
	- Oogie Manor
		- 2 ground combos or 3 air combos kill an Orb. When the Gargoyles spawn, use Stop to keep them immobilized. I recommend
		  watching WR vod to see what I mean.
Neverland
	- Anti-Sora
		- Similar strat to Beginner. 4 hits, full ground combo, get hit, 3 hits, full ground combo at the beginning. Loop him from
		  there. 1 hit, full ground combo.
		- Because of HP gates, keep in mind he will break out for seemingly no reason.
	- Menu (after Anti-Sora)
		- Stock Peter Pan’s Ethers (エーテル)
		- Equip Raven’s Claw (パルメットクロウ) over Brave Warrior (スピルブレイヴ) on Sora
		- Customize Gravity (グラビデ) on Sora
			- You could also choose to Customize Stop (ストップ) here, as it will make Dragon Maleficent easier.
	- Pre-Hook fight: We can't use Simba, so we need to fight out each wave
		- First wave: Use Stop and ground combos
		- Second wave: Air combos
		- Third wave: Use Stop on the Boat, Gravity it twice, air combo everything
	- Hook
		- Very strange fight on Standard. I tend to use 3 hit ground combos and mix in a bit of Stop usage.
	- Grab Flare-G before leaving Neverland
	- Menu (before leaving Neverland)
		- Equip Fairy Harp (フェアリーハープ) on Sora
		- Equip Ars Arcanum (ラストアルカナム), Guard (リフレクトガード) on Sora
		- Equip Glide (グライド)
Traverse Town 3
	- Same as Beginner
Hollow Bastion 1
	- Do everything up to Riku 1 as normal
	- Riku 1
		- Weird fight. I like to spam ground combos and use Ars as it becomes available, Counterattack also makes this fight a little
		  bit better.
	- AFTER RIKU 1, WARP TO AGRABAH
		- Warp into Storage
		- Go into the Cave of Wonders, do the White Trinity, open the chest for Ifrit Belt
		- Fall down and go up the Waterfall, grab the Cottage, warp out and go back to Hollow Bastion
			- The cottage is the far chest
	- Warp into the Library
	- Menu (after getting back into Hollow Bastion)
		- Equip Elixirs (エリクサー) on the 1st and 3rd slot of Sora's Items, and Ethers (エーテル) on the rest
		- Equip Ifrit Belt (イフリートベルト) over White Fang (ホワイトファング) on Sora
		- Unequip Slapshot (スラップショット), equip Hurricane Blast (ハリケーンピリオド) on Sora
	- Do everything up until Maleficent as normal
	- Before Maleficent, pop an Ether (エーテル)
	- Maleficent
		- Start off by using a full air combo. Do 3 ground hits, use an Ars.
		- Do 3 ground hits, use an Ars again, pop an Elixir (エリクサー)
		- Immediately after popping Elixir, use an Ars, pop an Ether
		- Use Ars twice (I tend to use the finisher on the second Ars, as it does a lot of damage and doesn't seem to stagger
		  Maleficent)
		- (Hopefully) finish Maleficent off with an air combo or two
		- Straight up, this fight sucks. Whenever it goes wrong, it never is clear why. If you're having trouble with this fight, don't
		  sweat it too much off the bat. I also recommend watching WR vod for this fight to see what they do.
	- Menu (before Dragon Maleficent)
		- Equip Cheer (召喚MPアップ), Leaf Bracer (リーフベール), and MP Rage (ダメージアスピル) on Donald
		- Equip Tornado (グーフィートルネド) and Cheer (召喚MPアップ) on Goofy
		- Goofy customize - Top 4 left
		- Have 2 Elixirs (エリクサー), 1 Megalixir (ラストエリクサー) and 2 Ethers (エーテル) equipped on Sora
	- Dragon Maleficent
		- Full air combo, 1 hit, stop, repeat
		- Use Elixirs/Megalixir as needed
			- Optimally, you should only use the 2 Elixirs and Megalixir. However, you have the Ethers if you need them for safety.
	- Riku 2
		- Same as Beginner
Traverse Town 4
	- Same as Beginner
Hollow Bastion 2
	- Put Beast in your party over Donald
	- Grab the Megalixir chest in Rising Falls
	- Do Dumbo Skip as normal
	- Menu (before the Elevator fight)
		- Equip Slapshot (スラップショット) and Hurricane Blast  (ハリケーンピリオド) on Sora
		- Unequip Ferocious Lunge (フェロシアスランジ), equip Critical Plus (クリティカルアップ) on Beast
	- GRAB ROYAL CROWN
	- Grab Oblivion using the specific movement (watch WR vod), use a Fire right before equipping it, then equip
	  Oblivion (過ぎ去りし思い出)
	- Behemoth 1
		- Similar to Beginner, use Ars a lot and smack em a lot
	- Menu (before leaving Hollow Bastion 2)
		- Equip Omega Arts (オメガアーツ) on Sora
		- Equip Ray of Light (オーバーレイ) on Goofy
		- Unequip Goofy Tornado (グーフィートルネド) on Goofy
		- Equip MP Gift (MPギフト), MP Rage (ダメージアスピル), and Second Chance (ラストリーヴ) on Goofy
		- Equip MP Haste (MPヘイスト) on Donald
End of the World
	- Invisibles
		- Gravity and pray
	- Use a Cottage (コテージ) after Invisibles
	- Angel Stars
		- Do a similar strat to Beginner, except go "around the loop" again and Gravity each Angel Star twice, then smack em
	- Grab Elixir chest right after Angel Stars fight
	- Use a Cottage (コテージ) after Angel Stars
	- Grab Cottage chest before Behemoth 2
	- Behemoth 2
		- Same as Beginner. Gravity and Ars
	- Menu (after Behemoth 2)
		- Equip Oathkeeper (約束のお守り)
		- Equip Royal Crown (ロイヤルクラウン) over Raven's Claw (パルメットクロウ)
	- Both Olympus Coliseum Portal and Atlantica Portal are exactly the same as Beginner
	- Menu (before Hollow Bastion Portal)
		- Equip Oblivion (過ぎ去りし思い出)
		- Equip Raven's Claw (パルメットクロウ) over Royal Crown (ロイヤルクラウン) on Sora
	- Hollow Bastion Portal
		- Same as Beginner. Use Gravity, finish them off with physical hits, grab the Elixir chest in the second room
	- Chernabog
		- Make sure you have Aero up while he's fire walling. Don't do finishers
	- Menu (after Chernabog)
		- Equip Superglide
	- Final Rest
		- Behemoth
			- Gravity and Ars. Right after you kill him, Superglide over towards the Heartless Emblem door and start pause buffering.
			  If you do this successfully, you will be able to access the menu
				- On PS4, the blue menu pops up too quickly normally after this Behemoth fight, so pause buffering near the Emblem door
				  is the only way to consistently get access to the menu. This can be tricky, and I recommend practicing it a few times
				  before you do this in runs. Also worth noting: If you don't feel comfortable doing this, it is optional, and if you
				  choose not to, you can simply do the menu I'm about to describe before you enter Final Rest.
		- Menu (after Behemoth (or before Final Rest))
			- Equip Oathkeeper (約束のお守り)
			- Equip Royal Crown (ロイヤルクラウン) over Raven's Claw (パルメットクロウ) on Sora
			- Use a Cottage (コテージ)
		- Darkballs
			- Same as Beginner, 2 Fires kill each
		- Invisibles
			- Same as Beginner, Gravity spam and finish them off with physical hits, but keep in mind your physical hits do VERY little
			  damage because of Royal Crown.
	- Menu (after Final Rest)
		- Equip Oblivion (過ぎ去りし思い出)
		- Equip Raven's Claw (パルメットクロウ) over Royal Crown (ロイヤルクラウン) on Sora
		- Equip Royal Crown (ロイヤルクラウン) on Goofy
Final Fights
	- Ansem 1
		- Same as Beginner, just with less Ars
	- Menu (after Ansem 1)
		- Use a Cottage (コテージ)
		- Equip all of your Megalixirs (ラストエリクサー) and Elixirs (エリクサー) on Sora (should be 4 Megalixirs and 2 Elixirs)
		- Equip Tornado on Goofy (グーフィートルネド)
		- You need a bit of "orange bar" on your MP to quick kill Darkside 3. If you don't think you have enough, use Fire until you
		  get a lot of orange bar, then use an Ether from your stock
	- Darkside 3
		- Do 3 hits, 1 hit, Ars. 3 hits, Ars again. Then air combo spam
	- Ansem 2
		- Same as Beginner, except make sure to save your Ars for DM skipping, because you don't have enough MP to use Ars all
		  willy-nilly
	- Ansem 3
		- Keep Aero up at ALL TIMES. No finishers, use an Elixir in this fight to get a free heal (hard to explain, I recommend
		  watching WR vod for this fight)
	- Shadows Core
		- Use 1 Ars, then physical hit the rest
	- Artillery
		- Use Aero and smack em
	- Darkball Core
		- Use an Elixir as soon as you enter
		- Use Aero at the beginning, then use a little bit of Blizzard. Use Ars when they come in close
	- Face
		- Hop up on top of the face and use Ars. Use a Megalixir when you see fit.
		- Use a Megalixir after this fight
	- Invisibles Core
		- Pop Aero at the beginning, then Gravity spam like Beginner
		- Aero is (technically) optional here, but HIGHLY recommended
	- Weird core
		- Gravity 3 or 4 times then smack em
		- Use a Megalixir after this fight
	- Ansem 4
		- Same as Beginner; no finishers, keep Aero up at all times, use a Megalixir during Ansem 4 DM
