- Problem 4.
- Those who dont understand some of the math heres a simple breakdown of a problem: this is how i did my homework (except for the process part)
- Note: ^3 = to the third power.,you might not understand by computer but write it down and it will turn out correct.
- (x-ab)^3
- Ok first you need to set up the basic equacion that is going to be used for these types of problems which is:
- (_)^3+3(_)^2(_)+3(_)(__)^2+(__)^3
- First blank contains first term of the equation which is x.
- second blank contains the first term of the equation which is x.
- Third blank contains the second term of the equation which is -ab.
- Fourth blank contains the first term of the equation which is x.
- fifth term contains the second term of the equation which is -ab.
- and finally the sixth blank contains the second term of the equation which is -ab.
- After that all you need to do is fill the empy blanks
- so from the equacion its (x-ab)^3
- If its confusing Look at it like this way: (in 4 seperate parts)
- (x)^3 + 3(x)^2(-ab) + 3(x)(ab)^2 + (-ab)^3
- now solve it
- processo:
- x^3 = first part. x to the third power
- 3(x)^2 (-ab) = 3 ab x^2 = second part 3ab x to the second power
- 3(x)(ab^2 = 3x a^2 b^2 = third part 3x a to the second power b to the second power.
- (-ab)^3 = -a^3 b^3 = Fourth part. -A to the third power b to the third power.
- result:
- x^3 + 3abx^2 + 3 a^2 b^2x - a^3 b^3
