➤ PERSONALITY :: Mina really believes because she studies hard and is in all of the advanced classes that she is smarter and superior than everyone else. She can be snarky at times when people lack to understand her sophisticated talk, but doesn't always try to prove her intelligence constantly—she doesn't have to, everyone knows it. Mina only talks to the other smart rich kids, mainly because they're the only ones who can understand her plus she has to maintain a good reputation, and talking with dumb kids definitely doesn't display that.
If once in a blue moon she is wrong about something, she won't admit it and continues to make excuses because she refuses to accept that she was wrong. She is a part of the wealthiest Park family and failure is not an option. Her older sister is the only person she confides in, but her sister has moved away recently and gone off to college, leaving Mina alone. She constantly stresses about everything that it looks perfect though she never shows it.

➤ BACKGROUND :: As stated before, Mina comes from the wealthiest Park family in Busan and takes immense pride in her heiritage. She is constantly fighting to prove herself to her judging parents, who push her to be the best in her class, but nothing ever seems to be enough for them. Her older sister was their prized jewel and got into the best colleges in South Korea, and though she wouldn't say it, Mina was jealous of her. Her mom is quiet but headstrong and is huge on manners and discipline, while her father only cares that they present the allusion of absolutely perfect.

➤ REASON FOR ARREST :: A boy in her class was hitting on Mina only for what she could offer him (money and sex), and she wasn't having any of it. Eventually after he threatened her continuously, she decided to tell him off once and for all by exposing his family background to the whole school—his parents were drug addicts and alcoholics and both lost their jobs, so he had to be taken in as a foster kid at a young age. She also used her hacking skills to search the dark web and show the whores he'd hired for sex and his sex tape he made to watch himself. Mina was ruthless. Humiliated, the boy reported it to the principal and Mina was arrested and expelled.

➤ FIRST IMPRESSIONS :: Mina thought he was an obnoxious bad boy who probably slept with everyone (which he didn't actually) and he thought that she wasn't supposed to be here—"I think you came into the wrong building

➤ RELATIONSHIP :: She dislikes him at the start, and he wonders why the heck she has a huge problem with him, all the while becoming attracted to her. Later, he shyly asks for help on his math homework, and after being pestered to help him, she rolls her eyes and agrees. While she helps him, she realizes he's not that terrible at all, and somewhat relaxes around him. Eventually, she snoops around his student folder online and finds out he's an orphan, witnessing his parents die in front of him while they were being robbed when he was nine. Too young to truly understand, he grabbed the gun the man had dropped on the floor and killed him. Instead of arresting the boy for his crimes, though he's young, they decided to send him to this school for the rest of his school years. For the first time, Mina felt her heart soften and ache for someone, and after confronting him about what happened, realizes she likes him. She doesn't know what to do with her feelings because she is so afraid of falling in love that she avoids him until he finally finds her and asks why the hell she's avoiding him, and after denying it several times, she breaks down and admits her feelings for him. He admits his own feelings as well and kisses her, asking her out a moment later. She reluctantly says yes, but he smiles and says that they can take it slow. By the end of the book, Mina loosens up a tad and begins to let some non-important things go, though she still will be an up-tight girl at heart. She and Jungkook lay on the grass watching the sunset and she explains "I don't pay attention to the fancy oranges and pinks, I like to look at the faded blue that contrasts against the bright colors." The last scene they share is their kiss underneath the stars.

"No, I actually DON'T." He mumbled, turning around to walk the other way.
4. "Thanks for the help." Mina started, and the boy cocked his head at her. "What? What'd I do now?"
"You said thanks," she murmured. "I didn't think people like you knew what those words were."
"Well, you're proven wrong once again!" He cried gleefully, and she narrowed her eyes at him.
"Watch it, boy."
5. "Mina! Park Mina!" She kept walking, not acknowledging his calls. She could hear him fight against the crowd to get to her, and she sped up. "Why are you ignoring me? Stop! Wait!"
I wish I could, she thought.
He finally caught up to her. "Mina!" She halted when she reached a dead end, slowly turning around. The boy panted when he ran up next to her, but she averted her eyes. "Why do you keep avoiding me?"
"I-I'm not avoiding you," she stammered, then mentally kicked herself. She never stuttered.
"Yes you are," he retorted, and she could see the hurt behind his eyes. "And I'm wondering why. Tell me at least what I did, and then you can ignore me for the rest of high school. But please, I have to know."
Mina didn't know how to respond.
6. "Do... do you want to uh... go out with me?" He shyly ducked his head and scratched his neck.
Mina smiled. "I would love that."
