Chapter 8 Verse 1-7

¹So it came to pass after the angels and the devils bent the divine stone to their liking, they began to make sharpened edges as weapons against one another. They turned them on their enemies, and wars and murder were their primary use. ²'asAab saw this, and was displeased. So he went to the greatest forge made before the time of his people, and the first Dwarf crafted an edge to rule over all others, a sword in shape that would be master to all weapons. ³He named this weapon Orion, as it would hunt down the misuse of all other sharpened edges. And Orion took to his task, and the first Dwarf saw this and rest. ⁴The ancient ones, however, coveted this new edge, cast away from all other divine stone, they hoped to gain control of Orion and allow it to bring the stone to them. So they set powerful hexes against it, and with time Orion was corrupted. ⁵'asAab was furious, and blighted the ancient ones, extending their lives and lengthening their ears that they may hear his eternal anger all their miserable lives. ⁶Orion, blighted from his purpose, was put into the darkest bowels of the world, that it may not be seen again or influence over the divine stone of our lord, 'asAab. ⁷Yet the first Dwarf knew that the wars over such things must be quelled, so he gifted his divine stone with the same soul as dwarf. He put dwarf over these souls, and so cast them to bondage, wrapping them in the divine stone shaped in links and attached. He called this contract The Chain.
