  1. Robin clicked his tongue. He hated to waste a perfectly good spell, but it was hard to feel like he’d simply misplaced it at this point. And if he had, this would be faster and save him a whole lot of headache anyways.
  2.
  3. His fingers tapped across the bookshelf until he found what he wanted, a book of basic utility spells. Brown leather wrapped, with some light golden embroidering around the rim, and the icon of a hammer and anvil printed on the front. He flipped until he found the page he was looking for, the page for the Seeker spell.
  4.
  5. And it was the Seeker spell page in nearly every way. The entire page only contained one word, repeated and reprinted over and over until it filled the entire page. Robin closed his eyes, pictured the image of the sword he had lost in his mind, and spoke the word aloud.
  6.
  7. “Seeker.”
  8.
  9. The first word on the page lifted up and off of it. The black ink faded into glittering, golden sparks, and flew into Robin’s skull. As he opened his eyes, he saw layered over reality itself a shimmering blue path. The path that the sword had taken as it left his house and went down the trail towards Southtown. As far as the eye could see.
  10.
  11. “Shit. Shit!”
  12.
  13. Robin pulled his long, black cloak off the hook by the door and slung it on as fast as he could.
  14.
  15. “Shit shit shit!”
  16.
  17. He grabbed a couple of spellbooks, whatever he thought he might need, stuffed them into his cloak, and took off.
  18.
  19. “Shit!”
  20.
  21. And ran down the road towards Southtown in search of his missing item.
  22.
  23. - Chapter 3
