  1. EarthBound No OoB Item Management

  3. Theoretical item management for future no oob runs. Shouldn't be that much different from glitchless but some extra items limit inventory space at times
  4.  
  5. Stage 1: Onett --> Boogey Tent
  6.  
  7. After manipulation, Ness will have his regular key items and equipment PLUS one hamburger and one bread roll. Withdraw $500, and feed Apple Kid the Bread Roll. (Learn bread roll skip for free time save and feed Apple Kid the burger lole)
  8.  
  9. Buy skip sandwiches until you have $55 left (7 total). Get the one in the trash can in Threed as well
  10.  
  11. After Winters, assuming the boiled egg has been used (try and use it by this point, it's just easier), it will be DOWN, DOWN to use the Bad Key Machine.
  12. The Teddy Bear will always land in Ness's inventory.
  13. When fighting Boogey Tent, Jeff's Big Bottle Rocket is the first item in his inventory.

  16. Stage 2A: Threed --> Enter Fourside Dept. Store

  18. After Boogey Tent, the Jar of Fly Honey will go to Ness. So will the Zombie Paper.
  19. When shopping at the arms dealer, assuming the Boiled egg is gone, it will be DOWN to sell the defense spray.
  20. - BUY: 4 Bottle Rockets (including the one you already have, if not yet used).
  21. After waiting in the tent to receive the Zombie Paper:
  22. - GIVE Jeff the Jar of Fly Honey
  23. - Drop any extra HP recovery items Jeff is still holding.
  24. - USE the Zombie Paper.
  25.  
  26. On the way to Saturn Valley, pick up the Protein Drink and the Skip Sandwich DX.
  27. Withdraw $1000 and buy Jeff a Great Charm.
  28. Keep three skip sandwiches after SV skip (one for moonside, one for monkey cave, one for monotoli)
  29. Get Lifenoodles and Mr. Saturn Coin, drop Stag Beetle.

  31. On the way from Belch's Base to Mole Cave:
  32. - PICK UP the Big Bottle Rocket in the Desert
  33. - GIVE the BBR to Jeff
  34. - DROP any extra regular Bottle Rockets that Jeff has left (This eliminates risk of accidentally using them, AND you only have to press UP once to use each BBR.)

  36. After Mole 2 and before Mole 3:
  37. - PICK UP the Picnic Lunch
  38. - GET the Exit Mouse

  40. After Mole Cave is over:
  41. - PICK UP the Platinum Band
  42. Ness:
  43. - GIVE two skips to Jeff, keep one for monkey cave
  44. - DROP Sandlot Bat
  45. - GIVE Franklin Badge to Paula
  46. - GIVE Backstage Pass to Paula
  47. Jeff:
  48. - GIVE Bad Key Machine to Paula
  49. - DROP Holmes Hat
  50. - GIVE Pak of Bubble Gum to Paula

  53. Stage 2B: Dept. Store to Shrooom!

  56. - Sell Mr. Saturn Coin and Platinum
  57. - Buy 3 Super Bombs for Jeff
  58. - Buy 6 BBR's for Jeff
  59. - Buy X BBR's for Paula (X = however many more you think you need)
  60. - Buy 5 Super Bombs for Paula
  61. - Buy 6 Super Bombs for Ness

  63. Optimally you will:

  65. - Use 2 Super Bombs (1 Ness, 1 Jeff) on a top floor Dept Store fight
  66. - Use 1 Super Bomb (Ness) on Spook (If more than 1 BBR is needed, go for it)
  67. - Attempt to use 2 BBR's on Mani Mani and save a bomb, but if no kill use the bomb
  68. - Use 4 Super Bombs (2 Ness, 2 Jeff) on Clumsy Robot
  69. - (SOMETIMES CLUMSY ROBOT HATES ME AND I NEED 5 BOMBS TO KILL. IF THAT HAPPENS USE A NESS BOMB)

  71. Keep track of how many more than 9 BBR's you buy and use up until Deep Darkness. I personally buy 11.

  73. Grab the Night Pendant in Moonside.
  74.  
  75. Adjust on the fly for monkey cave, shouldn't be tough

  77. Grab the Brain Food Lunch and Cup of Lifenoodles at the end of Monkey Cave.

  79. By Shrooom!, Ness will either have anywhere between 0 and 2 super bombs. Jeff will have zero. Give Ness 3 Super Bombs total (including whatever he already has). Give Jeff all rockets here as well.

  82. Stage 3: Summers --> Stonehenge Base

  84. After receiving the heiroglyph copy:
  85. Ness:
  86. - GIVE Heiroglyph copy to Paula
  87. - GIVE Mummy Wrap to Paula if obtained
  88. Paula:
  89. - GIVE Ness one Super Bomb (TOTAL, including any he already has)
  90. - GIVE Poo one Super Bomb
  91. Jeff:
  92. - Jeff's inventory should be all Big Bottle Rockets. Anywhere from 4-6 or so
  93. Poo:
  94. - Drop Bottle of Water
  95.  
  96. Any extra Super Bombs should go to Paula, then Ness. If Kraken doesn't die in one round, quickly use whatever makes more sense for management (i.e. if you have extra BBR's use them, but if not then throw a bomb, but not both)

  98. Summers Shopping:
  99. - Buy 6 Skip Sandwiches on Paula (if not enough inventory slots, extras go to Ness, then Jeff)
  100. - Buy 13 Skip Sandwiches on Poo
  101.  
  102. Ness will get the hawk eye and diamond band. Only get pyramid noodles if mole cave one goes used.

  104. Get the Talisman Ribbon in Dungeon Man.
  105.  
  106. Before shopping at Deep Darkness:
  107. - DROP Brain Food Lunch and any other Misc. Non-needed items from Ness's inventory
  108. - GIVE Paula Key to the Tower (if she doesn't already have it)
  109. - DROP all BBR's except for ONE (for Mondo Mole)
  110. At Deep Darkness, buy:
  111. - 12 Multi Bottle Rockets for Jeff
  112. - 4 Super Bombs for Paula (Total, including any she already has)
  113. - 1 Bomb for Ness tops
  114.  
  115. With this inventory management, Ness and Paula each should have two empty inventory slots (Ness could have more, depending on Lifenoodles count) after using the Hawk Eye.

  117. Ness will receive the Casey Bat. His inventory should remain full until you give the Tenda Chief the Shyness Book.

  119. MAKE NOTE of who gets the Eraser Eraser and the Exit Mouse (either Ness or Paula, depending on lifenoodles). Then, make note of who gets the shyness book.

  122. Stage 4: Sanctuaries --> Giygas

  124. When giving the shyness book to the Tenda Chief, Poo should have plenty of empty inventory slots.
  125. - GIVE Poo all lifenoodles
  126. - GIVE Paula Eraser Eraser
  127. - DROP Casey Bat
  128. - GIVE Paula Shyness Book, USE Shyness Book
  129.  
  130. - Ness is now only holding his primary items (ATM Card, Sound Stone, etc), his Magicant items, and the Pencil Eraser. He will receive all future Exit Mice, the Rabbit's Foot, the Carrot Key, the Signed Banana, and the Sea Pendant, for easy menu navigation.
  131. - Paula's inventory is full, and will not change until after Cave of the Past.
  132. - Jeff's inventory will have the Rabbit's Foot and decrease in bottle rockets until the end of the run.
  133. - Poo's inventory will have the Skip Sandwiches and any remaining lifenoodles, probably for use at giygas.

  135. After Trillionage Sprout, all Ness will need is the Rabbit's Foot from Jeff, and he's all set. No need to waste time scanning to make sure.

  137. No inventory management is required until just before starting the Giygas sequence. Ness's two bombs either will still exist or won't, depending on how nightmare goes.

  139. For Giygas: Paula needs 1 Super Bomb, Poo needs 1 Super Bomb, and Ness needs 2. Paula should hold the 5th if you have it, and Ness should hold the 6th if you have that too.
