  11. Mike had began coming to terms with his own power. While he wasn't strong in any combat sense, he was strong in other senses. His power it self was Life. It was a very stubborn but fragile power. His testing of his power and use of it over the last few years had made his control over it grow far stronger then it had been before.

  13. Already he had proven to himself that his ability to bring back the dead was a result of his power, his ability to heal from anything and heal others too were aspects of it. It was these parts of his power that he had wished to improve. He had felt that this was what he needed to perfect. If he could out heal the damage done to himself maybe he'd be able to match other's in terms of combat ability when they were tired.

  15. And so for that's what he worked on. Having a few fights here and there trying to improve his control over Life to quicken his healing to beyond supernatrual heights. How well it would work in a real fight was another question all togethers. But from the practice fights he had been in it seemed to allow him to oddly match his opponent well enough to get a few good hits in here and there. The progress was slow but he felt his body was becoming harder and harder to inflict damage upon, and any damage or cuts he received seemed to instantly heal, not even blood had time to seep from them at this point.

  17. When his training was finished he had felt better all around, rather it was do to more control over his odd power or just a benefit from intense training he didn't much mind. He felt he had improved and that to him was all that mattered, he had to keep improving though, he had a long road ahead of him if he wanted to actually be able to contend with the other fighters, much less alone if he wanted to keep his promise of defending Earth.
