  1. Game 2 vs Iron Hands (again)
  2.
  3. Another tough match for me, this time the guy had 3 repulsor executioners, 30 scout and a bunch of support characters.
  4.
  5. Mission was Crucible, deployment was hammer and anvil.
  6.
  7. Secondaries:
  8.
  9. I picked butchers bill, headhunter and engineers
  10.
  11. He picked Big game hunter, king of the hill and recon.
  12.
  13. He went first, walked into the middle of the board and instantly shot my knight to death with all 3 executioners. that was his entire turn but it put me in a super bad position. My first turn I tried to plasma at least one of his tanks down, to no avail. Even doing 10d6 shots hitting on 3s rerolling 1s, wounding on 3s and doing 3 damage I couldn’t kill even a single one. I managed to snipe out a could of his poorly placed support characters but it was overall very ineffectual.
  14.
  15. next turn he didnt even have to move. He healed up his tank for 9 damage (almost unheard of amounts of healing in the game, max you could get before was 6 if you were extremely lucky) And just shot my plasma servitors to death. With 1000pts of my army gone in 2 turns and maybe 200 of his gone, the game was over at this point and I just did what I did before and tried to mitigate what points i was giving up and what he was taking. I managed to get my engineers poijnts every turn and denied him his recon points every turn. Game still ended 34-17.
