  1. 1.5 All Worlds Route Idea

  3. In KH1-J you can get off an extra Proud Roar of Simba if you have enough MP and it will allow you
  4. to defeat 6 waves in Final Rest instead of the standard 5. (for reference I think it's 9 or 10MP because
  5. you know 1J).

  7. So I got to thinking of how much MP you would need in 1.5 to do the same thing.
  8. It's not possible in a non-All Worlds category because you would never have the equipment available to you
  9. in order to get enough MP for this. So, it's All Worlds only right now.

  11. In All Worlds, you get to Final Rest with 9MP in Staff Route.
  12. I started there and got to thinking.

  14. A big thank you to Faiz for testing all of my MP/Cheer combinations because I didn't have a 1.5
  15. All Worlds save available. This is what she said based on what combinations of MP/Cheer I had her test:

  17. 9MP and 2 Cheers: 5 waves (this is standard)
  18. 9MP and 3 Cheers: 5 waves
  19. 10MP and 2 Cheers: 5 waves
  20. 10MP and 3 Cheers: 5 waves
  21. 11MP and 2 Cheers: 5 waves
  22. 11MP and 3 Cheers: 6 waves
  23. 12MP and 2 Cheers: 6 waves

  25. So, in order to use Simba on 6 Final Rest waves, you need 11MP and all Cheers or 12MP and 2 Cheers.
  26. In other words, you need Simba to have 14 total MP for 6 Proud Roars.

  28. (Sora Magic Strength + # of Cheers on party) = Summon MP

  30. So, the ultimate question is: "Does this save time?"
  31. The answer is "yes, sometimes".

  33. Time to explain.
  34.  
  35. First, lets make one thing clear: Getting 3 Cheers is not viable.
  36. In order to get Sora Cheer you would have to do Pooh's Swing minigame a second time.
  37. Then you'd have to go talk to Owl. All of this would cost too much time to matter.

  39. So it looks like we're left with 12MP and 2 Cheers.
  40. How do you get 12MP?
  41. Spellbinder and Royal Crown.

  43. Now for the timings.
  44.  
  45. - Getting Spellbinder takes no time at all, just talk to Merlin after 100 Acre Wood.
  46. This costs barely a few seconds to mash through the text.
  47. - Getting Royal Crown is a bit out of the way taking about 35-40 seconds.

  49. So we can say the net loss of getting these two items is 40 seconds give or take a few.
  50.  
  51. - A 1 DM Invisible fight in Final Rest takes about 35 seconds.
  52. (this varies based on how well you kill the rest of the Invisibles of course)

  54. Now a 1 DM fight is skill decent, it's okay, but not great. However, it's not consistent at
  55. all to get a 0 DM fight and sometimes you can lose a good chunk of time chasing down a DM-ing
  56. Invisible every so often.

  58. The extra Simba Proud Roar strat would be consistent 100% of the time.
  59. So as a runner, you have a choice:
  60. - Do the route the same as you always have
  61. - Lose maybe 10 to 20 seconds for a 100% consistent Final Rest
  62.  
  63. If you choose consistency and get Spellbinder and Royal Crown, equip them after Behemoth 3.
  64. Your equipment would be
  65. - Spellbinder
  66. - Royal Crown
  67. - Ray of Light
  68. The use the Cottage like normal.
  69.  
  70. The strat is a little risky because you have to be standing by the door in order to avoid the Invisibles
  71. (They get close but never hit me in the 10 times I did it).
  72. Also the timing for getting off Simba is tight, you have to do it the second you kill the last Darkball.
  73. So, getting over to the door then killing the final Darkball can be a little annoying.

  75. In other words, if you're going to do this route, practice Final Rest first so you can get a feel
  76. for the timing and the risk. It's not a perfect route/strat, but it's neat.
