  1. [03:14] Yvel and Zeitan had traveled almost all the length of Esshar up into the very northern piques of the mountain tops, Yvel having caught wind of Zeitans need to learn ice magic they thought what better place for them to learn than to experience the cold for themselves.
  2.
  3. As for Yvel he knew he could gain something out of this as well.
  4.
  5. "The air here is frigid and cold, Yet it blows more strongly than any current I've felt in the city scape. I'll focus myself into learning how to generate stronger bolts of lightning, And I'll finally perfect my ability.."There perhaps wasn't much need for Yvel to explain what reason he brought Zeitan here they could already probably assume why.
  6.
  7. "As an Ice magi you'll need to learn how to be one with the cold, So we're gonna spend an entire month out here, I'm gonna learn how to convert the powerful gales into lightning, And you're gonna get down as much as you can to convertwater into ice." Yvel breath outwards letting his breath expand into a white puff of mist.
  8.
  9. "Think you can keep up with this kind of training? I can only show you the path I can't walk it for you, After all I'm no ice magi but we're both using naturally occurring elements, So we have to use whatever logic we can muster to adapt."
  10. (Yvel Endore)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12. [03:29] Yvel nodded glad Zeitan could at the very least grasp what was to be done, Yvel reached into his satchel and pulled out some leather armor, And a torch handing it to the boy for him to use.
  13.
  14. "Use this to keep warm, Drakanite or not you'll freeze to death with absolutely no protection." He'd hand over the items to the boy before finding a snow covered stone to sit upon, Allowing for his white coat to blend in to the surrounding snow as it fluttered in the wind.
  15.
  16. "The air here is nice and thin yet strong and powerful, Its the perfect recipe for a lightning storm. I'll start practicing right away. Good Luck Cousin. I hope you're able to find exactly what it is you're looking to accomplish!"
  17.
  18. He'd say as he begun his own in-depth process he pulled the air towards his palms, As he allowed for his breath to channel more and more air pressure together, Utilizing the very same visualization technique as he did before.
  19.
  20. He saw the wind currents as passing ribbons, Each one just within his grasp to catch between his palms. He'd tie the currents together and create tension, and with his mana he'd instill kinetic energy that was required to create a spark, His breath drew in and as he exhaled he began generating small crackles of lightning within the air.
  21.
  22. Sparks flew left and right but were contained close enough to Yvel's person that it was of no panic to his cousin a few meters away. Keeping up his breathing he'd recreate the scenario of his training with Adrielle a few months back, to sustain this spell for as long as he could muster it.
  23. (Yvel Endore)
  24. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  25. 03:58] Yvel continued to force the wind currents into a bundle, Using his mana to accurately adjust and manage the pressure so the right amount could be used to force sparks to fly it was as if he was creating a wind powered turbine in between his palms, The amount of lightning being gathered made his palms grow numb, But he remembered just as Adrielle told him, He'd have to learn how to physically adapt to the effects of his lightning.
  26.
  27. He spread he feet apart and continued to generate more force between his fingers, Sparks and bolts continued to filter the air with snapping and popping sounds curdles of electrical spindles continued as Yvel aimed not only to tame the lightning he was manifesting but to bend it to his will entirely. A task very few could call easily done.
  28.
  29. The thin air and the powerful gusts of winds made for the perfect contrast and envorinement for Yvel to push passed his limits, To generate even stronger electrical currents, He visualized it even deeper, The currents of air he'd invoke his mana to were a greenish hue, And when he'd invigorate them with his intentions and turn it into lightning it would become an even darker shade of green even more vibrant and potent.
  30.
  31. Yvel could feel the lingering effects of his lightning starting to numb his entire body, His legs grew weak and his nerves felt like they were misfiring, He felt pain in his joints, and he was even beginning to twitch...But he could not end here. He had to improve for himself and for the others he had to grow stronger.
  32.
  33. "I am a Knight now, I have so much more I want to accomplish! I won't give in!"
  34.
  35. He pushed passed the pain, And overcame the exhaustion, Despite how numb he felt he stood on his feet and resisted. And continued to push forwards.
  36. (Yvel Endore)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38. [04:17] It took Yvel an entire 2 weeks to adjust not only to the cold of the frozen mountains but to the numbing sensation his lightning could retain within his body, Each time his lightning magic grew in strength so did the shocking pain it would cause to his nerves.
  39.
  40. He'd been able to mitigate the feeling, Push passed it and reduce brunt force of his lightning and now that he could generate a spark that was above a minor sparkler he started to shift his efforts of training from manifesting stronger lightning into shaping and conducting his lightning into attacks.
  41.
  42. Yvel aimed towards a tree out in the wilderness, He had been preparing using his abilities for the longest time now, He was now capable of shaping lightning to a uniform attack. A straight forward blast of lightning, From close range. He was still unable to manipulate lightning if it wasn't close to or near his person.
  43.
  44. Utlizing the previous 'ribbon' method Yvel charged lightning into the palms of his hands pouring more and more mana into it before finally opening his hands and expelling the lightning forwards Using his hands as a barrel for the cannon so to speak, The flashing bolt splashed onto the trunk of a tree singing some of the bark,
  45.
  46. In the two weeks he had been training he had gotten this far, Yet there was still more he could accomplish more he could figure out, And he would spend the remainder of the time growing his experience and building up more resistance to the lightning magic he was pouring all of his effort into accomplishing.
  47. (Yvel Endore)
  48. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  49. [04:44] Yvel continued to control the currents of lightning this time instead of expelling it outwards he focused them inwards, Allowing himself to be covered in the azure glow of lightning he was training to build his resistance and to understand a deeper meaning with the flow of lightning.
  50.
  51. Yvel felt more connected, More attached to the particles that needed to move and vibrate to create lightning it was almost as if he had begun to understand the complex relations of how Air and Lightning, and how they were utilized in the same space.
  52.
  53. Yvel weaved together currents of lighting like ribbons gathered around his staff, He moved towards a boulder on the mountain and began to force his mana into it, Lightning crackled and popped and he continued to expel energy into the larger rock.
  54.
  55. "I have to be at the very least able to crack open a boulder....If my lightning has progressed even a little bit..." In this instance Yvel wanted to maximize the power output he could manage. While he wasn't one for a flashy show of power he did want to at the very least be capable of doing enough damage to render a person unconscious if need be.
  56.
  57. More days went by he was unable to break through to the dense exterior of the boulder, No matter how much he increased the voltage he found that he could not break through to the rock...Yet despite his failure he knew that he had gained a significant amount of knowledge with his abilities...He had only needed to further expand them as he continued his journey, Although the time was winding down, And soon Yvel and Zeitan would have to return back to Osrona after all they couldn't train in the mountain's forever.
  58.
  59.
  60. Walking towards Zeitan's training spot he'd give him one final message before returning back to his own. "We have one more week here, Lets make the most of it and on the final day lets have a spar to see how far we've progressed? You know where to meet me.I'll see you there." He left the message behind on a scrap of paper knowing Zeitan would get to it when he was able to and returned back to his own training area.
