  1. “Does it have to do with all the weird things that happens at Purple’s place? Because lemme tell ya, I dunno why her sheets suddenly became a giant quesadilla.”
  2. >“Eris, please. We both know that’s a blatant lie”
  3. “Heh, heh, heh! Yeah, but I still had to try, right? Ugh… You want me to remove all the pranks I had ready for when she returned, right?”
  4. >“Not really, the big number of Twilight’s complain letters that I receive about your behavior never fail to get a laugh out of me. Besides, I’m still a bit angry about my former student’s slip-up at Griffonstone.”
  5. >OOO! This is gossip about Purple messing up things! Now this is something that’s right up my alley!
  6.
  7. “Oh, sister! Lemme guess! She wanted to give everypony a lecture and she got jailed for causing a massive case of boredom!”
  8. >“Close, excuse me if I don’t go into details, but the whole thing still gives me a headache just by think about it. Let’s just say, Twilight lost her temper… among other things that she really shouldn’t have done. The point is, she ended up causing a political disaster. My sister went to Griffonstone to solve the issue… and she took Anon with her. It’s a mess, but Luna is right, this experience is perfect to be my son’s first diplomatic mission.”
  9. >A’ight! I could see where this was going.
  10. “Soooo… that’s why you called me here, right? You want me to make sure the do- I mean, Anon doesn’t get into trouble with some mean Griffon”
  11.
  12. >“Oh, not at all. Luna is an extremely powerful pony, more than me in some regards, and she’s quite zealous about the safety of our son. The reason why I summoned you here today has nothing to do with their task.”
  13. >A’ight! I was totally wrong!
  14. “Uh-Huh, and I bet that it wasn’t just to hang around and have a chat over some cool coffee.”
  15. >“And you would win that bet. Because yesterday, I got this letter from Starlight Glimmer.”
  16. “Motley sent you a letter?”
  17. >“That’s right! I have the letter in question right here, see? Oooooo~!” Why was she floating the piece of paper in front of me like it was a ghost? Why did she giggle? Just… why? “It’s quite long, and many of it is addressed to Twilight, so I’ll skip right into the meat of it. A dragon has made its nest near her town and I need your help to solve that issue.”
  18.
  19. >WHAT?! THAT’S IT?! OOOOOH! C’MON!
  20. “So you called me to get rid of a giant lizard? C’mon! Don’t you have anypony else to handle pest control? Like, I dunno, the guards?”
  21. >“The best ponies for the job are all at Griffonstone, and something as big as a dragon would require an entire platoon of Guards and that’s being generous. Time is also not on our side, the fumes that a dragon exhales can cover vast fields in just a couple days and while General Moonlight is very efficient at her job, mobilizing a platoon to somewhere as far as that town would take her at least three. Besides, after the distubing events of last night, I’d prefer if Moonlight focused on her daughter”
  22. “Oh, yeah… guess the dudette needs her mom after seeing a literal corpse moving, talking and almost destroying her little coltfriend. A’ight! So I just teleport there, chaos the dragon up and come back before dinner to set up more pranks for Purple!”
  23. >“That’s the idea when it comes to the dragon, but…”
  24. “Lemme guess, there’s a catch”
  25.
  26. >“I’m afraid you’re correct.” Of course there was, this is Celestia… ugh “You see Eris, if this was just about a simple dragon, I’d have teleported to that town and defeated him on my own before breakfast was done.”
  27. “Getting a little smug there, dontcha, Chief?”
  28. >“Not really, more than a couple times I’ve found myself in the necessity of battling the dragonlord in turn. None of them, and that includes the current one, have ever been able to come close to defeat me.”
  29. “I ain’t gonna question that, especially after eating one of your lasers, sooooo… what’s the other thing that’s bothering Motley?”
  30.
  31. >“In her letter, Starlight mentioned that the dragon is actually guarding a rather large factory that appeared overnight on top of the mountains surrounding her town.”
  32. “A factory… wait a second! Is that why you wanted to know about the human world?!”
  33. >“Not really, Starlight has described the factory in question as something that you would see in Fillydelphia or Manehattan, and as I told you already, I’m very well aware of the technological gap between our and the human world.”
  34. “Welp! You got my interest, Chief! That means, I’ll be going now! Nice breakfast by the way. Maybe I’ll stick around later to get more of that sick coffee”
  35.
  36. >“Eris, can you wait a moment, please? It won’t take long, I promise.”
  37. “Awww! But I already had the best entrance to spook Motley! Pfff… Okay, Chief, I’m all ears, see?”
  38. >Hah! Celestia giggled at my joke! I mean, who would laugh at me being covered in ears!
  39. >“Be careful, okay? I know how much you have progressed in mastering your magic, but if you feel like you are dealing with something that may be a bit out of your league, please, do not hesitate to call your father or even me for help. I’ll even look to the other side if you decide to interrupt my son at his diplomatic mission so you can ask him for advice”
  40.
  41. >I… I really didn’t what to say, her smile and everything looked so genuine. Holly, molly man! Celestia actually managed to beat me with just a smile!
  42. “I’ll keep that in mind, Chief.”
  43. >“Thank you very much, Eris. You are free to go now… Oh! And if you ever want to have another chat over a nice breakfast, then tell me and I will cook something extra special, just for you.”
  44. “I will need to look on my schedule, but… sure… I’ll keep in touch.”
