- Now, you needed some way to pierce past his barrier of Stillness without imparting energy onto him which he could then turn on you. So...you needed to be able to move without moving. Act without acting. There was no earthly concept that allowed such a thing, no human idea or dream...but you weren't limited to human ideas, were you? Your mind shot forth, twisting outwards into inhuman and incomprehensible shapes as you sought the exact concept of action without motion...oh. So that's how Araya was managing his weird flicker-movements.
- Jacked into his soul like a barely-functional add-on was the concept of ̵̸̢͢ ̸̧ , or Action Without Motion if you were a human being. You could literally see the metaphysical connection between his Origin and the alien concept in your mind's eye, and it was so terrifyingly crude that it was a wonder that Araya wasn't self-destructing from housing a concept utterly incompatible with human existence...but then again, could Souren Araya be called a human existence anymore? You abandoned your search for a similar concept briefly and turned your senses towards your opponent, only to recoil in shock an instant later.
- Souren Araya was dead. Nearly every cell in his body was cancerous and undergoing PCD, his soul was so fragile and...glitchy that it was a wonder it was holding together, his magecraft was utterly nonfunctional outside of his Origin...this was an insult to you. A living insult to your every effort at Optimization, twisting and failing at every single procedure you'd developed and only getting as far as he had by making everything harmful he'd achieved go Still. What little worked-his enhanced strength, his Magic Core, and his utilization of his Origin-was barely at a quarter of your own capabilities-and he was still a major threat. With the Core in his soul he could gain enough Prana to Still the whole planet fairly easily if he so desired. With his structured-if frail-soul he could act with the strength of an A Rank Servant even-or maybe especially-without his body. With his Origin and the madness that must have set in from his fumbling...
- No. This was no longer revenge or justice. This was Mercy.
- You drew in and installed ̵̸̢͢ ̸̧ into your Prana Aura, wincing a bit at the strange sensation of Moving without actually moving. You walked forward once again, glitching and shifting rather than actually moving through the intervening space, and this time passed unhindered through Araya's barrier. You could sense the barest glimmer of confusion begin welling up within him by the time you let your fist fly, and in the next instant his physical body was reduced to nothingness exposing his malformed soul for Creation to witness.
- You placed your hand where you could see the deformed heart of his soul beating, and Analyzed deep into his existence. You blotted out his History, his Concepts, his structure...you simply went straight for his Origin.
- And then, you laid it dormant.
- Light dissolved away, returning you both to the real world as Araya began to choke and clutch at his chest. It was unpleasant for animals to undergo, so you could only imagine how painful it must be for him. This time it only took bare moments for Alaya's Eye to pierce through Souren's protections and-
- -a flash of red and silver-
- -He just disappeared. Like he never existed in the first place. He was truly and absolutely dead now, you somehow knew. Your Will faded away, your Prana Aura stilled and dissipated, and your Reinforcement was swiftly undone. It was somewhat painful to silence your Origin's strength and return it to a state of semi-dormancy and you nearly blacked out from the pain of disabling your Absolute Configuration, but that was still accomplish-able.
- And now you stood alone on the sidewalk, feeling a sense of discontent. You'd geared up and prepared for...something, and in the end Araya was undone by such a simple measure. It was unfulfilling
