  1. Just to begin, would you mind telling me your age, the age at which you started playing video games, and what you do for a living?
  2. 20, I've played games for as long as I can remember ranging back to being about 8 years old playing the playstation. I make gaming YouTube videos for a living
  3.
  4.
  5.
  6. What gaming consoles do you own? If you own multiple, can you break down your gaming time by (1) percentage of time spent gaming on that specific console and (2) number of hours playing each console per week?
  7.
  8. I own a Gaming PC (75% of my time spent) and a Xbox One (25% of my time). I'd say I spend about 20-30 hours a week playing games
  9.
  10.
  11. Which video games do you currently play? Could you please list all video games that you have spent at least 40 hours playing in your lifetime?
  12.
  13. CSGO, TF2, Fifa 17-20, All of the CoD games, Halo Reach/3 Minecraft, Fortnite & Dark Souls 3 to name the major ones.
  14.
  15.
  16. How would you describe your gaming behavior (i.e., your dedication level, skill level, is it a major hobby of yours, etc.)?
  17.
  18. I'd say my skill level varies depending on the game but generally id say slightly above average due to spending time on the game. It's my main hobby
  19.
  20. Why do you play video games?
  21. For enjoyment, it allows you to just completely not think about anything going on in your life and immerse yourself in a whole different world.
  22.
  23.
  24. What characteristics or features do you seek out when looking for a game? What or who dictates which games you play?
  25. Competitive nature, with rewards for skill rating. I think that the more time you invest in a game, the rewards should show that, I also love the idea of an economy in a game, TF2 and CSGO particularly have a really strong economy and trading base.
  26.
  27. Where/who do you turn to when you need help with a game, either getting better, finding out solutions, or just for a chat about the game itself?
  28.
  29. Generally I'll just watch YouTube tutorials, or read a guide that's been posted. When I play through Pokemon there's a site that lists every pokemon in the area and all the items, same with dark souls.
  30.
  31.
  32. Do you use any online sites or guides to augment your gaming experience? For example, FIFA 20 gamers can learn more about the prices of certain soccer players and their attributes from independent websites.
  33.
  34. Yeah I use Futbin for fifa, and a site called Backpack.tf which is essentially the same thing for TF2. Generally only economy based sites to help with pricing items in the game
  35.
  36.
  37. What has your experience been like meeting new people through games?
  38.
  39. It's been great, i've met my closest friends through gaming.
  40.
  41.
  42. Where do you personally go if you want to meet new people who share the same gaming interests?
  43.
  44. Twitch is a great site for that, both if you're streaming or watching a stream. You can connect with people who clearly share the same interest as you. Also Discord servers
  45.
  46. How much, if anything, would you pay for a service that connects all the gamers who play [their game of choice], and offers crowd-sourced advice, tactics, opinions, and solutions?
  47.
  48. £5 a month at the most, I think there's so many discord servers out there for just about everything that I would be reluctant to pay
  49.
  50.
  51. Is there anything frustrating about interacting with other people in the gaming industry?
  52.
  53. Nothing that springs to mind
  54.
  55.
  56. How much would you pay to make this problem go away?
  57. -
  58.
  59. How long do you spend watching gaming video content per week?
  60.
  61. About 10~ hours. More often than not I watch a video whilst I eat my meals
  62.
  63.
  64. Do you have any concerns about safety or privacy in the gaming world? What about when you were younger?
  65. Not that I can think of!
