#PastebinMonday 09/06/2021 Let the Puzzles Begin Edition

Hey guys, how’s it goin?

The Pokémon Puzzle League Speedrun Tournament is now on! 16 players now fight for one championship title. Watch it all unfold Saturdays and Sundays at 4pm EDT on twitch.tv/puzzlegeneral! It is the time of year for me to get specifically devoted to making sure it all runs smoothly.

At this point, I do want to try and give a proper o7 salute to my #PoopNet. My journey with my Internet connection and my Internet provider over the last four to five years has been rocky, at best, but I was still able to do quite a bit with it thanks to your support. Tomorrow, however, I hope to say goodbye (and good riddance) to it as I upgrade from broadband to Gigabit fiber! Not only am I getting more than double the promised speed (it's BI-DIRECTIONAL, too!), but I'm also getting rid of my existing Internet, cable, and phone to save $150/month! Not gonna lie, I've gotten hesitant to get involved in various online speedrun marathons because the ping has shown itself to be too inconsistent for a smooth experience. I had to get my homie DarkAries to hook me up with an SRT protocol solution just to have a high-quality stream that doesn't buffer. So much for that 30 Mbps upload, amirite? I have high hopes that things will get better and I will be able to get more involved. Networking is my biggest issue to stream growth and I've been very hesistant to get into that, but I need to embrace it in order for things to change. Challenge my social anxiety head on, I suppose.

I have to make myself available to pre-record matches so streams for the next two months will get a bit sparse. I do want to get practice in, though, and I do have all of this week off from work so I will try to do a few things:

(40% chance) Wednesday – 5pm EDT at the earliest – New Internet Stress Test featuring my new Switch! – Est. 4 hours
(60% chance) Thursday – 7pm EDT – still trying to decide between !PPL2021 Practice and #CasualCooldown FFX Gets into Calming Fun Times – Est. 3 hours
(90% chance) Friday – 8pm EDT – #FridayNightSaltMines with !pg and !PPL2021 Practice – Est. 4 hours
Saturday / Sunday – twitch.tv/puzzlegeneral!

Well, so much for getting caught up on YouTube uploads, I think.
