- Hey guys, how’s it goin?
- Easy mode is DONE! After almost 800 tries this year, I have a time in Pokemon Puzzle League's Easy mode that I can say for the first time in my life I am completely satisfied with. My goal was 2:00 game time. I ended up with 1:58. I cannot reasonably improve this time with what I currently know. It took several weeks and I enjoyed very little of it. It'd be one thing if my own skill was holding me back, but there were plenty of occasions I ran into where playing as fast as possible led me to get punished by untimely garbage clears. I thought my skill had peaked and the thing holding me back was the game's behavior, which was dictated largely by the starting arrangement of the panels, which is largely out of my control. I felt like I had very little say in the final time for each stage and it was starting to get to me.
- But now, I'm free! I don't have to care about that anymore! If someone beats my time with current knowledge, good! I have no interest in going back to that level under these conditions. It's no longer worth it for me. Now to try and figure out Normal mode again. I hardly remember anything about it. I need to take better notes. It's only going to get harder from here.
- Speaking of notes, it may be another week before I get my Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom notes updated well enough to do Yugi runs again. I'm only through mission 3 of 22 in my rewrite. Once I get to 11, though, most everything should be copy-pasted from there since I've barely changed any of it from my 2015 route. I still have a few things to investigate, though, and that's largely been what has sidetracked me. I've had to make more precise instructions for certain battles to reflect my current mindset. I'm not looking forward to figuring out Badlands again.
- That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
