- Vlasti (legal name: Anna Laska) was born November 20th, 1997, to a Czech expat and his first wife. Originally from Vancouver, his early life was mostly uneventul. Vlasti's mother was a schoolteacher and self-proclaimed medium, and while it's unclear if the spirits she claimed to see were real or not, it led to the young child being immersed in the spiritual despite his father's disdain of the practice. When Vlasti was four, his mother passed away from ovarian cancer, and he and his father moved to the island. There, his father remarried a considerably younger woman and soon had another child.
- Vlasti's stepmother was a fan of fads, from diets and yoga to even taking part in the burgeoning anti-vaccination movement, bolstered by his younger brother being diagnosed with autism. While Vlasti himself had received some basic vaccinations, any beyond that were stopped, including boosters for the ones he did receive, and he didn't really think too much of it.
- Childhood and puberty were difficult for him, acting out often and questioning who and what he was, on top of a controlling, narcissistic stepmother and often-absent father prone to infidelity. "Deviant" behaviour was frowned on, lest the family not seem perfect and happy to outsiders. As a young teen, he spent a lot of time outside of the family home with some more rough types, and demonstrated a forceful, ruthless personality despite his willowy body and delicate features. Despite not taking part in too much that was blatantly illegal, he was briefly involved with a few shady characters that lead to him gaining a bit of skill with small weapons and seedy places.
- Upon turning 18, he gained access to a small trust fund set by his mother before her death; not a lot of money, but enough to get away from his controlling family and on his own. He mostly does odd work and courier work to support himself now, and has totally abandoned his previous identity in favour of one he made himself.
