Prehensile Tail - Kinda handy having an extra limb.
Fire Resistance - Those scales come in handy. Also, a Drakt who basks for a while first can often move more quickly and powerfully.
Vulnerability to Frost - The payoff, of course, is that cold and ice slow the Drakt down and make them stiff and weakened. Too much of it and they just pass out.

Hailing from the Ulangi swamps, the Drakt are a fairly private race, keeping to themselves and their own region for the most part. They are adept hunters and very skilled at tracking and survival. Though their isolation often leaves them lacking in esoteric knowledge, they are not stupid- there have been instances of Drakt scholars who studied to great success. For the most part, however, Drakt tend to be on the superstitious side and prefer the old-fashioned way of doing things. Though they have a reptilian appearance, and some individuals sport horns or spikes in spectacular fashion, they are not (as some may assume) closely related to dragons. Still, because they are not a common sight beyond their home territory, they are often treated with wariness on the odd occasion that an individual does travel abroad.



-==Character Bio==-

The youngest of four brothers, Matari never had a great deal of responsibility piled on his shoulders- he had no obligation to marry, or to take on his father's profession, or be anything significant spiritually. All the same, he had your standard upbringing in a Drakt tribe- learning to hunt and track prey in the treacherous Ulangi swamps, learning tradition and craft and song. He grew up a fine hunter indeed- not the best, but certainly quite competent and experienced enough to support himself. Truly, one could hardly wish for very much more.

Still, the restlessness of the same day-in and day-out eventually set in, and the lack of a partner became increasingly a source of unrest for Matari. He decided to set out and travel for a while, see some of the wider world and perhaps find love or meaning- though if he didn't, the change would be enough to settle him down again when he eventually came home.
