- Zaruma says, "Nyphadora."
- Nyphadora asks, "Oh? Yes?"
- Zaruma asks, "You're a master Riftmancer, are you not?"
- Nyphadora says, "Indeed; I taught Dylerun after all."
- Zaruma says, "Good. What would you say about a rounder of practice? You se--"
- Zaruma says, "There's a new technique I've been dabbling in, and I need someone, hm--"
- Zaruma says, "Hard to keep up with."
- Adara Fiamma asks, "Oh? this sounds interesting, may I watch?"
- Nyphadora says, "Oh? Well... People do say I am annoying to hit."
- Zaruma says, "Yes, you may."
- Adara Fiamma says, "Thank you my lord."
- Nyphadora says, "Sure, I can help."
- Zaruma says, "Very well. Follow suit."
- Nyphadora says, "What's the worst that can happen while trying to avoid a Demon's strikes..."
- Zellim asks, "Missing limbs?"
- Zaruma says, "This way."
- Adara Fiamma says, "Ooooh skeletons, spooky"
- Upon stepping to the place that was going to turn into grounds of a fight soon enough, the Archon turned himself to the fairy- yet, instead of the usual gather of Fell Wind around him, he gathered the winds just above his skin, much like a shroud; thoroughly and masterfully manipulated, those winds aimed to remove any friction or atmospheric resistance that Zaruma might face while in the battle.
- Why? All to increase his potential of speed, of course.
- And if that wasn't enough, much like a pair of thrusters, there was a flow of wind that extended behind him, aiming to push Zaruma for acceleration.
- Last but not least, even his skin was slowly becoming of more transparent tones; much like the Tempest that he claims to be, there was a visible change to his body, becoming one with the wind. Instead of a formidable, physical appearance that he was oft bearing, his form seemed to almost float about.
- It's like he didn't even weigh anything, moving like a feather on breeze.
- Yet, despite such odd form, the scythe was drawn with ease and held too. It was a mix between something physical and otherworldly, and the words were spoken to Nyphadora.
- "Let's begin."
- (Zaruma)
- "Skeletons, indeed!"
- And they would appear from thin air itself; small tears in reality itself bringing them forth. Clockwork dolls with souls within, although they appeared to be rather braindead, only following basic orders such as standing still for now!
- The Fae hadn't fought for many years now- Literally. So this ought to be a good experience; if anything, fighting an opponent such as Zaruma would definitely push her to her limits!
- Mana surged, a defensive barrier of sort conjured forth around her- In the form of a surplus of colours; fairy magic no doubt.
- Eyes would settle on Zaruma, "Though I doubt they'll do much to an opponent of that caliber."
- "Yes, let us begin."

- Much like the aforementioned breeze, he moved with ease in pursue after Nyphadora. Wherever she went, he goes there too - and his winds were acting as thrusters to accelerate his movement at every opportunity, pushing him at incredible speed that suited something akin to a hurricane itself.
- The fact that he was one with the wind allowed him to easily defy the correspondence that Fae and Archon had between each other, shifting and slithering through every small current of the wind around the forest, if only to appear immediately right at her. Neither friction nor atmospheric resistance affected him, for the fact that air before him was sucked out to create temporary vacuums.
- Even the slightest advantage to surpass the limits of speed were taken.
- It was much like the Archon became an almost unseen force, striking from wherever he wished; and while Nyphadora put up some resistance in order to dodge his efforts to take her down, it was for naught. He was too quick.
- The new techniques of defying his limits were certainly working, and he exclaimed towards her.
- "It appears there's a progress. And yet--"
- "Hrm. Let's continue."
- (Zaruma)
- "Ahh..."
- The Fae was beaten back- Everywhere she went, the demon was on her. As expected of an Archon, and one of the most powerful ones ever too!
- Zaruma was powerful.
- "You are powerful... Indeed. But give it a few more clashes and I'm sure you'll find the challenge you need." It was just a matter of getting used to him.
- If she knew where he was going, his speed didn't matter, right? But could she learn it... Now that was the question!

- Nyphadora has rolled 2 or over: they may escape capture attempts (unless otherwise specified)!
- With a clap of her hands, her excitement was clear, as she watched her lord battle she couldn't help but feel her blood rush through her own body. Adara loved watching people stronger than her fight, because it gave her a chance to study how their bodies moved. Seeing Zaruma beat the fae in the first round was no surprise at all to her, winds furiously whipped around Zaruma, with enough force that even though Adara was a ways back, she could feel the winds clearly. It did peak her interest that the two both used some sort of meat shield, Zaruma with demons, and Nyphadora with skeletons.
- It was time for the second round to get ready, and Adara struggled to even watch the match, mainly because the two were hard to follow due to their speeds. Adara mainly looked for.. colors that blurred in her vision. A smile on her face seemed to be stuck as she continued to watch.
- Adara began to wonder if she would ever be able to fight Zaruma, not to harm him, but instead, to comeclose to matching him, she already knew that she would give her life to protect him. As the fight finished Adara landed on the ground.
- She, for a while, didn't offer any words, she was sort of speechless. Instead, she leaned against the tree and quietly watched the two.
- One day. One day she would be able to fight along side them, and with a grin she continued to study them.
- (Adara Fiamma)
- The speed was certainly not the issue for the Archon.
- If he was able to defy the friction and atmospheric resistance, if he was able to become the embodiment of Tempest, used wind thrusters to accelerate himself and controlled the wind masterfully?
- No, that wasn't the issue at all. The control was the real problem here, something that Zaruma struggled to master.
- And such became evident in his fighting style, too. He was reckless, accelerating himself beyond limits and speeding towards his foe at maximum potency, but there was one problem - he could not stop in time, or control himself well enough to not simply slip past without actually harming the opponent.
- The Archon was pushed to his limits. In a desperate attempt to clutch the victory after all, a final engage was made, creating a surge of Tempest right behind him - in a flash of the moment, with factors such as friction and atmosphere nullified, he appeared right infront of Nyphadora, striking her down to put an end to this bout.
- Yet, in return, he was struck too; a pained expression flashed his face, tumbling forward as the two opponents dealt the last blow to each other. It seemed that Nyphadora was put out of fighting however, and the Archon still had some strength left.
- 'I couldn't stop in time, nor I had enough control, but--'
- 'If I can control my acceleration, I should be able to extend this cloak in a full circle, to aid with turns and stopping too.'
- With a rather thoughtful expression over his face, he pondered, laid on the ground and reflecting to what travelled in his mind. Deciding to stand up, he exclaimed towards Nyphadora.
- "--Are you still able to continue?"
- (Zaruma)
- Blows were traded- However whether it was the sheer difference in power or will power, the Fae was the one who fell first.
- But Nyphadora was not one to be discouraged- Zaruma may have been trying something new, but he was still no doubt a powerful opponent! And she had gotten a solid hit in...
- Mana would surge once more, the restorative power of the Faes used to mend not only herself, but partly Zaruma as well given the distance between the two.
- "Of course... If there is one thing I do possess, it is an abundance of mana."
- With wings fluttering, the Fae would gain some distance before preparing herself once more.
- "We can continue if you'd like- This is very good practice for me as well! It is rare you get to fight such a... Monster. No offense?" Was it even offensive?
- He was a Demon after all.
- (Nyphadora)
- A wry smirk graced over Zaruma's lips at Nyphadora's remark. Without much wait, he responded to it.
- "I prefer the title of a Lord to that of a monster."
- But that was enough of chatter for him. Focusing on manipulation of the winds once more, he decided to extend the wind cloak all around him; there had to be a way to control this technique better, after all.
- 'Friction, atmospheric resistance and pressure... acceleration, merging-- and now assisted turns and stopping power. That should cover it.'
- A final thought traced his mind, and his crimson hues focused on Nyphadora. If one were to pay careful attention, they would notice one thing off - there was a void, a null of... nothingness all around him, much like the air itself is being drawn into Tempest and made to fuel him.
- And while those winds fuelled his power, his surroundings were devoid of any air, any oxygen even. Temporary vacuums were made, all to ensure that there's no resistance in his way.
- All to ensure that he could quickly make turns with another thrust of wind from the side, or even stop himself with one from the front. After all, should he stop the magic, that temporary vacuum would restore the presence of air, allowing for such maneuver.
- "Let's begin."

- Adara Fiamma says, "I like watching them. Lord Zaruma is strong."
- This had been more of a challenge.
- But he needed it in order to grasp the control of the wind, after all. Much like before, his speed was achieved easily via thrusters from behind, and while the friction and atmospheric resistance were absolutely nullified, he merged himself with the wind in order to move swiftly with it's breeze.
- Nyphadora could find Zaruma in a position where he frequently appears right at her, a technique that allowed him to quickly pursue the Fairy wherever she went. Much like the wind itself, he was practically -everywhere- and all over.
- Perhaps he was beginning to truly grasp that omnipotence, a power over speed that allowed him to traverse every single inch of battlefield in absolute instant. This time around, it was not limited to the common acceleration too - he controlled his turns and even moments where he had to stop with a sudden push of the wind, either from his side or front.
- And with that mastery, despite the challengethat Nyphadora gave to him, she was taken down with a sudden blow after all. A heavy exhale, and he exclaimed.
- "Well done. We'll continue."
- (Zaruma)
- He really was everywhere! Was she reading him wrong?
- No... Her magic was on point- At least in her perspective! Each strike was seen and responded to, but then... Why? How did he keep chasing her down! Even whilst teleporting away, the Demon remained on her tail.
- And once more, a heavy blow brought her down- Though not for the count just yet.
- "Yes..." She carried herself from the ground with her wings, energy once more rushing through her. "I don't know what you are doing..." Her staff was raised, pointed at the Archon, a smile quick to curve her lips, "But it is interesting! I will dodge it."
- And once more, she flew- The dolls were rebuild within seconds, ready to fight once more.
- (Nyphadora)
- And once more, the two clashed- No doubt that Zaruma was more powerful than the Fae herself, he possessed not only magical power equal to her own, his physical strength was far beyond anything she could ever reach.
- And his speed? One might say she should have been faster given she could teleport, but it most certainly did not feel that way!
- But once- Just once, his strike came lying down upon her and she dodged, immediately vanishing into thin air itself with another step through the lifestream, appearing behind him with a strike of thunder quick to turn to him; unlikely to truly harm him given his durability, but surely he could feel it.
- Heavy breathing, her gaze simply laid on the Archon once more in silence. She didn't need to say anything now did she? A lucky strike wasn't victory after all.
- (Nyphadora)
- The Archon chased after Nyphadora across entire battlefield as their fight went on. The fact alone that he managed to merge with the wind was already proving to be a threat to the Fae, and the fact that he managed to defy any resistance that reality itself imposed upon him was only all more terrifying.
- A speed to match that of teleportation, as he appeared right infront of her every single time.
- It was much akin to a nightmare, or at least being in one - no matter where you run or how fast you are, he would always appear just next to you, intending to strike once more. The power of Tempest was something to behold and be fearful of.
- But despite his speed, despite his efforts, clearly his control was not yet mastered. He swung another hit with his scythe towards Nyphadora's image, seemingly striking her down--
- 'I have her.'
- --And she just vanished in thin air.
- 'An afterimage-!'
- Before he could turn around, he felt the whip of thunder lash out at his back, sending the powerful Tempest rolling forth across the battlefield. He furrowed his brows, gazing back at Nyphadora.
- "Well played. It's not over yet."
- (Zaruma)
- It was truly a battle of two extremely fast magi.
- One has wielded the power over teleportation, and another defied the limits of speed itself. To onlookers, it was naught but a blur of Archon and Fairy speeding through the air and battlefield as a whole, delivering one blow after another against each other.
- He had to stay focused. Maintaining the shroud of absolute nullification, one that protected him from effects of friction and atmospheric resistance, the Archon was ruthless and restless in his pursue against Nyphadora. Much like the embodiment of wind itself should be, he moved with the wind, and with time--
- He truly -merged- into it, being capable of appearing anywhere where the air was. But come to think of it, there was no place left where air would not be existent.
- That much granted him something akin to omnipotence in nearby area.
- Eventually, when the push came to shove, Nyphadora and Zaruma had to unfold their cards in a final clash and unleash all that they were in possession of; for the Fairy, it was her magical potential, and for the Archon, it was his immeasurable physical strength and speed.
- And just as Nyphadora struck the blow with yet another magic of hers--
- Zaruma vanished. He was nowhere to be found.
- A sudden blow came from behind, striking Nyphadora down; it was with his leg, however, accelerated with the wind. He had no intention to deliver a dangerous blow that would truly harm the Fae.
- It has seemed he just did it, at last. The first true speed, the moment he vanished infront of her, if only to appear from behind and strike her down. Essentially, it was what she just did to him.
- The Afterimage.
- (Zaruma)
- She was smiling- Oh how long it had been since she had fought all out? How many years had passed since last time she lost?
- Zaruma was overpowering her, but even then she couldn't help but to get excited. Was it perhaps the demonic mutation she adorned? The occult energy had a tendency to cause her to become inexplicably giddy at times! And Zaruma sure had a lot of it.
- But eventually it all came to an end- With the man returning the favour, he too would move far beyond what she could follow, leading to a swift kick enhanced by wind and powered by the sheer force of his speed. Her barrier was broken, a direct hit sending the Fairy flying backwards- Crashing a few times into the ground before coming to a halt.
- Dust would gather around the small crater her crash had created, however small it might be, and once it settled it revealed the Fae simply remaining on the ground, her breathing heavy.
- "I... I think."
- "We can call it your win now."
- (Nyphadora)
- Demetrius brushes off his legs, a few leaves just kind of.. stuck to his pants from all the bush crashing.
- (Demetrius)
- It was certainly quite exhausting.
- Fighting against such powerful magi- even if so physically small- could put a strain even on Zaruma. A loud exhale was overheard coming from him, one that clearly showed that he'd rather rest at this point as well.
- "Yes-- we should stop now."
- "I thank you for practice, regardless. This has helped me realize and understand previous faults in my technique. For now--"
- "I shall go elsewhere and rest."
- (Zaruma)
